He will join us for his speech on his miracle recovery after being told he would never walk again. A typical Toastmasters International meeting, you will experience a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment designed to help people grow in confidence and communication skills. Meetings usually include prepared speeches from members, where speakers practise everything from storytelling and presentations to leadership and persuasion skills. We also have a “Topics” session, where members can volunteer to answer light-hearted or thought-provoking questions with short impromptu speeches — a great way to build confidence thinking on your feet. In addition, meetings may include a poem or an educational spot where members share tips on public speaking, communication, or leadership skills.
