PLASMA Meditation
PLASMA Meditation is a gentle, guided practice designed to bring the body and mind into deep relaxation and balance.
The session uses breath awareness and visualisation, inviting participants to imagine a soft blue-white healing light moving through the body from the feet upward. This process supports the release of tension, calms the nervous system, and encourages a sense of clarity and inner stillness.
PLASMA Meditation is not about effort or concentration. There is nothing to achieve. Participants are simply guided to observe, breathe, and allow the experience to unfold naturally.
The practice is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike. You may sit or lie down, and all guidance is offered in a calm, supportive way. Each session finishes gently, allowing time to ground before returning to daily life.
**Session investment: $30 per person.**
This covers the guided meditation and the holding of a safe, supportive space.
PLASMA Meditation offers a quiet space to reset, restore, and reconnect ā physically, mentally, and emotionally.

**ITINERARY (TBC)**
11am - Meet at the entrance of Box Hill Train Station.
This is the plan:
* Visit Fo Guang Shan Box Hill Temple
* Yumcha for lunch (or equivalent Asian food)
* See a lion dance together (if there's one when we're there)
* Visit an Asian supermarket.
In short, we're going to wander around and soak up the Lunar New Year ambience, Box Hill style.
P.S. There's an organizer fee of $10 for this event.

**Note:**
I am capping the group at 9 persons to fit a round table in a Chinese restaurant and because yumcha servings typically come in threes.

1000 Steps - Kokoda Trail & Lyre Bird Track - Upper Ferntree Gully
The Kokoda Track Memorial walk, alias the 1000 Steps is Melbourneās most famous walk.
We will hike the 1000 steps followed by the Lyre Bird Track and loop back to the coffee shop below.
In total we expect to cover approximately 7 kms in 2.5 hours.
This is a moderately difficult hike and the 1000 Steps is a steep hike requiring some fitness. Consider taking walking poles.
We will continue along the Lyre Bird track and hopefully see the Lyrebirds amongst the lush forest.
Coffee afterwards at the 1000 steps cafƩ. Parking is plentiful but can fill up. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed.

Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation donāt just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
