*Einmal im Monat findet das Filmforum **„Film ab!“** in unserer Mediothek statt. In dem Rahmen zeigen wir die Werke von Berliner Filmstudierenden und -schaffenden, die sich in unterschiedlichen, audiovisuellen Formaten mit diversen gesellschaftspolitischen Fragen befassen. Im Anschluss an die Filmvorstellung bekommen die Sprachstudierenden des Goethe-Instituts sowie auch externe interessierte Gäste die Möglichkeit, mit den Filmschaffenden selbst ins Gespräch zu kommen, Fragen zu stellen und gemeinsam zu diskutieren.* In der fünften Veranstaltung unserer Reihe „Film ab!“ am Goethe-Institut Berlin beschäftigen wir uns mit der **Dokufiktion „Über Gott und die Umwelt“ (2025)** von Thibauld Weiler. Wir zeigen die erste halbe Stunde des Films im Original auf Deutsch und Französisch mit englischen Untertiteln. Es ist gemischt, geeint durch das Interesse an Texten. Die Autorinnen und Autoren des Abends lesen aus ihren bislang unveröffentlichten Kurzgeschichten, lyrischen Texten, Erzählungen, Romanen, manchmal auch aus Theaterstücken. Die Autoren stellen nicht sich selbst, sondern ihre Texte der Kritik. Wir verstehen uns als Arbeitsbühne. Deshalb wird bei uns nach den Lesungen nicht geklatscht. Die Texte werden nach der Lesung des Autors auf handwerkliche Stärken und Schwächen „abgeklopft“. Es geht im Forum daher nicht um weltanschauliche Debatten. Im Idealfall hat der Autor/die Autorin nach einer Lesung und der Kritik verstanden, wo die Stärken und Schwächen seines Textes liegen, woran es seinem Text noch fehlt, was er ändern sollte und wo er bei seiner Überarbeitung ansetzen kann. Der Abend endet gegen 22.00. Im Anschluss können Sie mit den Autoren im Café der Schwartzschen Villa noch ins Gespräch kommen und manches aus dem Literaturbetrieb erfahren. Wenn Sie selbst im Autorenforum lesen wollen, gibt es einige Dinge zu beachten. Wir bitten Sie sehr herzlich, sich mindestens einmal vor Ihrer ersten Lesung bei uns mit unseren Gegebenheiten vertraut zu machen. You can participate fully, participate quietly, or simply observe. ### Tonight includes * **The Last Supper** — Scripture and reflection on Jesus’ table and his love “to the end” * **Individual Absolution (one-on-one option)** — a brief, private moment to hear a personal word of forgiveness (optional) * **Footwashing** — a simple act of service and humility (optional; we also offer a more comfortable “hands-only” option if you prefer) * **Holy Communion** — bread and wine at Jesus’ table * **Tenebrae** — the altar is stripped, lights dim, candles are extinguished as the Passion is read, and we leave in silence ### Explicit welcome **All people are welcome—no exceptions.** That includes ALL people, skeptics, the spiritually exhausted, longtime church people, first-timers, English speakers and non-native speakers, families with kids, and anyone who isn’t sure what they believe but knows they need grace. ### Good to know * Participation in **holy communion, individual absolution** and **footwashing** is **completely optional**—no pressure, no spotlight. * Dress however you like. * Photos/recording: not during the service.
