OmniTalks: Product š¤ Engineering
"Oh, product and engineering work really well together here." ā someone at every company, in every all-hands, ever.
But do they, though?
**This event is for EMs, PMs, Product Designers who want to make their workstyle actionable.**
The product world has spent years arguing that PMs, designers, and engineers should be in the room together from day one instead of handing work down a conveyor belt like it's a factory floor. It's one of the most talked-about ideas in how we build products, but also one of the hardest to actually pull off š¤·
This edition of OmniTalks is about what it looks like when it works.
We call it the trifecta ā a Product Manager, a Product Designer, and an Engineering Manager, have picked an already shipped feature and will deliver three perspectives on how it got built.
Three people from Omnisend's Formsā team will each take the stage and walk you through the same project ā what they were trying to solve and how the three of them stayed aligned *(or didn'tš¤·).*
**Agenda**
* 17:30 ā Doors open.
* 18:00 ā The trifecta takes the stage in relay, walks you through the project from three different perspectives (this part will be streamed online)
* 19:30 ā Networking
* 21:00 ā Extending the evening? Alaus Studija is very close to our office š»
**The Trifecta**
Augustina ReipÅ”lÄger, Staff Product Designer
Povilas Žvirblis, Engineering Manager
Paulius PreikŔaitis, Product Manager
This is a hybrid event and will be streamed online.
š· Photos will be taken at the event

Love languages? š
Want to practice speaking? Come to our meetup!
*How does it work? Simple!*
š Make a name tag with your name and languages that you speak/learn!
š Look for someone who has a language you want to practice - and strike a conversation!
*Important:*
* **Be comfortable to "eavesdrop"** **on a conversation** in a fascinating language you are not ready to speak yet - "I just want to listen" is a thing! āš
* If someone joins you with this intention - **don't switch to English** (as you normally would, because you don't want to exclude your friend from a conversation!) - but in this setting - **keep talking!** You are giving others an opportunity to listen! šš
Well, this is it... we are looking forward to seeing you on Friday! Let's discover unexpected language matches together! š¤©
šøDisclaimer: The host may take photos during the event for promotion purposes. If you do not agree with this, please inform the host directly at the beginning of the meetup, otherwise it will be understood as consent.
ā
**Please RSVP** so that we could take your participation into account. Let the hosts know if you happen to be late. Invite friends and family who share your love for books and languages!

Bible Study every Friday (in English)
To all locals, expats, and visitors in Tallinn, welcome!
My wife and I are delighted to invite you to study the Word of God with us every Friday at 6:30 p.m. in a casual setting, accompanied by coffee and tea.
We believe the Bible is entirely true, and we strive to live by its teachings. We also believe that the love of God is so powerful that it can touch hearts and heal what's broken in all of us.
Let's study Christianity together to help you find answers to questions like:
\*What is the meaning of life?
* How do I deal with difficult situations
* Who is God, and what is the Trinity?
* How can Jesus Christ help me?
* How can I forgive and treat others with love?
Please join us or reach out if you have any questions!
The meetups are in English.

Shut Up & Write!Ā® East Side Columbus
Join us for an hour of writing! Weāve discovered that itās strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itās true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Streetlight Guild.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
**BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing & I look forward to seeing you at Streetlight Guild!
**WHAT SHOULD I BRING?**
Whatever you need to be able to write! You're welcome to bring earplugs/headphones if noise will bother you!
**OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:**
* **RSVP:** Please RSVP by 6:00pm the evening of the meeting. This helps me know how many to expect, and if we'll need additional space!
* **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels.
* **WIFI/OUTLETS:** Outlets are limited, so please ensure your devices are charged when you come! But Streetlight Guild does have free WiFi! Yay!
* **PARKING:** There is free public parking at Streetlight Guild.

Contra dance with Big Scioty May 2 - Clinton Heights Lutheran church
**Caller: Richard Ades**
**Band: The McKenzies**
**Clinton Heights Lutheran Church**
**15 Clinton Heights Ave, Columbus, OH 43202**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like youāve seen in period films such as āPride and Prejudiceā, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. Thatās English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like āswing your partnerā and ādo-si-do,ā like youāve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alĆ” āRiverdance.ā Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THATās Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.

April Book Club Meetup
Welcome, readers!
Our April read is **_Martyr!_ by Kaveh Akbar.**
The story follows a young Iranian American poet grappling with grief, addiction, and the aching question of what makes a life meaningful. Drawn into an unexpected friendship with a terminally ill artist, he begins to confront faith, love, and the seduction of self-destruction. Lyrical, darkly funny, and emotionally piercing, the novel wrestles with beauty and despair in equal measure. Itās a story about longingāto be seen, to be forgiven, and to matter.
Looking forward to discussing with everyone!
We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but **drinks must be purchased at the bar.**
Happy reading! š
