Park Workout and Martial Arts
We'll start off the session with a run in Gleisdreieck park that might include scaling some walls, visiting a few sites in the area to explore their opportunities for climbing and balancing, or going up or down stairs in unusual ways. After the outdoors bit, we come back to our gym where we focus on building strength, working as a group, and learning basic martial arts techniques. We are a small, accessible, mixed-gender, queer-friendly group open to anyone, without any prior knowledge or specific degree of fitness required. Our martial art is Jutaijutsu, a traditional Japanese one focused on self-defence.
Sounds interesting? We'd love for you to drop by and join us. You'll need running shoes and comfortable workout clothes, including a raincoat or the like for the park if the weather is bad. Once indoors, we train barefoot. The first three Meetups are free of charge. If you'd like to join our group beyond that, we would ask you to join our association, https://yanagi.berlin, a martial arts school based in Berlin. Membership there is 30 EUR/month and you will be able to train three times a week.
Film Financing & Funding - A Practical Overview for Filmmakers
**BerlinFilmMakers & Indiefilmtalk presents: Film Financing & Funding â A Practical Overview for Filmmakers**
**Hey there,**
Great film ideas rarely fail because of creativity â they often fail because of financing. But what funding opportunities actually exist? And why does film financing seem so complex to many filmmakers?
**What to expect:**
In this free workshop, Indiefilmtalks Yugen Yah will give a short introduction to the landscape of film financing and public funding. We will look at different funding models, explain why factors such as regional funding requirements, reference funding, and bureaucratic processes play such an important role, and discuss the typical hurdles filmmakers face when submitting projects.
Alongside a short input session, we will provide an overview of funding possibilities, and you will have the opportunity to work on your own project in small groups and search for suitable funding options. As part of the workshop, we will also introduce our community driven tool DEADLINER which is designed to make navigating funding opportunities easier for filmmakers.
The goal of the workshop is simple: to provide orientation and make the first steps into film financing a little less intimidating.
After the workshop part, there will be an open networking session where participants can connect with other filmmakers, exchange experiences, and build new contacts.
**Schedule:**
* **18:30 â Doors Open:** Arrival and pre-networking.
* **19:00 â Workshop:** Yugen Yah speech and interactive workshop in groups.
* **21:00 â Open Networking:** Continue the conversation over drinks.
**Limited to 60 attendees.** Secure your spot to ensure you start the festival week with the right connections and a fresh professional look.
**Join the Community** and stay updated to future Berlin events for creatives.

Fantastic Anatomy Watercolour Workshop
### **Fantastic Anatomy**
In this unique workshop, we will explore and celebrate the human body in all its beautiful complexity â and then let our imagination transform it.
What does a sacrum look like? Could it become a butterfly?
How do hands truly connect? Can we paint the magic of a gentle touch?
What lives in our hearts?
Together, we will observe the body with curiosity and appreciation, and then reimagine it through colour and fantasy. This workshop is an invitation to experience the body not only as anatomy, but as a living, poetic vessel that carries us through life.
Over four classes, we will explore bones, muscles, and organs in a fresh and expressive way. Using watercolour techniques that embrace fluidity and transparency, weâll experiment with water, stains, textures, and layering to create our own artistic vision of the body.
Join me in this colourful tribute to the extraordinary vessel we inhabit â where science meets imagination, and anatomy becomes art!
⨠No previous painting experience needed. Gentle guidance provided throughout.
The workshop includes **four classes**, but youâre also welcome to join individual sessions (when available).

**Our story**
In 2019 we started organizing meetups for creators & influencer in Berlin, and we became big fans of the people we brought together and the topics that were discussed. So we expanded to London early 2020, and as the pandemic started, we became a home for creators worldwide.
Now, in 2025, we do our events in multiple cities and countries and are expanding to more and more countries. Wherever we are, influencers & creators connect, learn, and grow. Sometimes creators join us and share insights in lightning talks, and each time we all go home with new, interesting connections!
**Virtual events**
We have regular virtual meetups. Join your local [meetup](https://socialrising.com/meetup-groups) group or follow our [Eventbrite](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/social-rising-virtual-34048034485) organizer dedicated to virtual events.

**Find your ideal startup co-founder in Berlin â structured matching, and an opportunity to join the SIBB Incubator**

This event brings together founders with startup ideas and talented people looking to join a startup in a structured, data-driven matching format.
Organized by SIBB âDigital Association Berlin-Brandenburg, this evening combines curated co-founder matching sessions with open networking. The matching process is supported by TribeSquare, which helps identify the most relevant connections before the event.
During the event you will also learn about the SIBB Incubator, a startup programme supporting early-stage founders building solutions in Cybersecurity and Trustworthy AI.

⢠Learn about equity-free startup funding opportunities through the SIBB Incubator
#### **How the Matching Works**
1ď¸âŁ Register on Eventbrite and select the ticket category that best fits your role.
2ď¸âŁ After registration, you will receive a short matching questionnaire (powered by TribeSquare) via email in your ticket confimation. Your response is important to identify the most relevant connections for you.

How to Be a Better Communicator - Free Seminar
Communication is everything in life
You are only as successful as your ability to communicate.
\- What if you could confidently talk to anyone?
\- What if you had the ability to calmly control every conversation?
\- What if you could close that sale\, ask for that date\, make new friends\, repair problematic relationships\, get that raise\, or effortlessly express any idea with confidence?
You can!
The secret to success relies on your ability or inability to effectively communicate. Attend a free seminar and gain a better ability to communicate.
Hosted by the Church of Scientology of Central Ohio

Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy*
You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life.
The problem isn't you. It's the format.
Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built.
Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else.
*That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real.
There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking.
Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum.
This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic.
You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation.
**April 14th. RSVP now.**
**When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081
