Come and join us for a full Moon ceremony. I will invite the spirits and guides to join us. We will have a comfortable meditation and some manifestations and intention setting for the new moon cycle. We will participate in a healing journey. This is very powerful and quite healing. This month we will do a past life regression. We will be sharing and discussing some thought-provoking questions. I recommend bringing a journal to record your thoughts. We can share some stories around the fire and then I will close the ceremony. Bring appropriate crystals that you would like charged. The best crystals to charge during a full moon are amethyst, smoky quartz, citrine, black selenite, and obsidian. We will be outside so please dress for the weather. This is a laid-back event at our home, I hope that you can join us. Howling at the moon is optional and encouraged. Please enter the gate on the right of the house behind the green bug. We are the Federal Center Toastmasters Club. We meet the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursday of each month in Hyattsville, MD, from 12 noon to 1pm. Our meetings are held at the headquarters of the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics of the CDC. This is part 3 of our discussion series on Infinite Jest. Participation in the prior parts is not a requirement, anyone is welcome to join in. This meeting will be dedicated to talking about the first 785 pages of Infinite Jest. We will be reading up until "17 November Year of the Depend Adult Undergarment" We will also be discussing some of David Foster Wallaces essays. The essays we will cover are - "Shipping Out" (aka A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again) - "E Unibus Pluram" - "The View From Mrs. Thompson's" - "Getting Away From Already Being Pretty Much Away From it All" They are not mandatory but reading these is highly encouraged. Feel free to read ahead but the discussion will only cover up until this point. This will be the third of four meetings planned for Infinite Jest. These meetings will be scheduled monthly. The Petalpalooza Festival is part of the Cherry Blossom Festival events in DC. With daylong activities throughout the day, join us at The Thompson Hotel Rooftop for a happy hour followed by fireworks that will be scene from the rooftop on Sat., Apr. 4th at 6pm. We will meet up at the rooftop. Petalpalooza is a daylong street fair of live music, dancing and art, taking place at the Capitol Riverfront close to the Washington Nationals’ ballpark. The fireworks will soar over the Anacostia River at 8:30pm. The Rooftop at Thompson Hotel is arguably the best place to see the fireworks.
