Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow moments… It is very easy to participate, no musical talent or training is required so anyone is welcome to join. All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space. Von einer Mitte Berlins weiter zur nächsten Mitte Berlins und in wieder einer Mitte, nämlich der des Sony Centers, steht eine Food Hall, in der vormals im Großformat Hollywood in all seinen Facetten erlebt werden konnte. Wo früher Luke seinen Vater bekämpfte, wird heute Essen aus der ganzen Welt angeboten, dass sich in einem schönen und modernen Ambiente genießen lässt. Die Bar is gut sortiert, Kartenzahlung überall möglich und jetzt zur WM gibt es vor der Tür eine große Leinwand. Wir haben Plätze reserviert. Vermutlich in der oberen Etage. Achtet auf unsere Tischaufsteller und fragt sonst gern das Barpersonal nach den Reservierungen. Wer das erste Mal dabei ist, kommt gern etwas später, damit die Gruppe sich sammeln kann. Wir sind den ganzen Abend vor Ort, Schluss ist vermutlich gegen 22 Uhr. Evtl. gibt es einen Absacker im Umkreis zu später Stunde. Zu unseren Events kommen aktuell bis zu 40 Leute. Wie kommt ihr hin? The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :) We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German. The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other. Singing in the dark. Voice meditation workshop
### This voice meditation workshop is an invitation to enter darkness together. Not to escape, but to listen, feel, and stay with what is usually avoided. We will work with voice and singing as tools for exploring grief in its different forms: grief after losing someone to death, after the end of a relationship, or after the loss of hope, future, or meaning. Not as a therapeutic intervention, but as a shared artistic and somatic experience. The workshop will be based on Eastern European folk songs about loss, mourning, and death that carry collective memory and emotional structure that allow us to access grief without explanation or narrative. In the second part, we will move into a guided voice meditation circle in complete darkness. Through sustained tones, breath, and gentle vocalization, we will create a shared sound environment that supports relaxation, stimulates the vagus nerve, and helps regulate the nervous system. The darkness allows attention to shift inward and reduces the pressure of being seen or performing. This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. These meetings will be a building block approach to learning photographic mastery over three disciplines: Mechanical Mastery (MM) - 13 weeks of the series Exposure Mastery (EM) - 26 weeks of the series Composition Mastery (CM) - A 52 week series All three series will run concurrently and will dovetail as follows: Q3/26 - MM (Iter 1), EM (Iter 1, Pt 1), CM (Iter 1, Pt1) Q4/26 - MM (Iter 2), EM (Iter 1, Pt 2), CM (Iter 1, Pt2) Q1/27 - MM (Iter 3), EM (Iter 2, Pt 1), CM (Iter 1, Pt3) Q2/27 - MM (Iter 4), EM (Iter 2, Pt 2), CM (Iter 1, Pt4) That's likely confusing, but essentially, MM offered 4 times in that period, EM offered 2 times, and CM offered 1 time. **TO BE CLEAR - THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THESE CLASSES.** This is an aggressive series, with presentations, homework, group shoots to be added in, likely at LEAST twice a month, image critiques, and an expectation that you are willing to put in the work to elevate your photography significantly. Open to all levels and all equipment levels. Don't let hesitation about your skillset and/or gear keep you from a one-time opportunity. The group will meet every Monday, with periodic exceptions, and we will try to keep as close as possible to the original plan. Obviously, more data to come, and will be published as this is further developed, but now is the time to decide if you want to be a part of this.
