The Relationship Design Game is a card deck that invites you to explore your true desires and rethink conventional relationship norms. The game's creator, Mariana Cerejo, will welcome you and then, in small groups, we'll play the game together. Through their prompts, the games create space to rethink relationships according to your own needs and desires, and to cultivate communication, honesty, and respect. There will be space for sharing personal experiences, gaining different perspectives, supporting one another, listening, and being listened to with empathy. This is not a dating event, but an opportunity to reflect, learn, and exchange perspectives on relationships, community, and sexuality. The evening warmly invites non-monogamous/relationship anarchist people, as well as anyone who is curious about reimagining relationships beyond the scripts and power structures of monogamy, heteronormativity, and patriarchy. Mariana Cerejo has spent much of my her life asking why relationships have to fit into molds that don’t serve us. As someone who isn’t naturally extroverted or highly communicative, she realized that she needed dynamic and thought-provoking tools to facilitate conversations that could free her from those molds. This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something.
