Circlesinging Together ** Elwood Smith Community Center, Rockville **
We are meeting in person at Elwood Smith Community Center, Rockville.
\*\*\*
The community-singing event where where everything's made up and the point — to sing for our lives — matters.
Our leaders will teach you parts to sing for spontaneously-composed choral pieces. We play a variety of listening/music/singing games, and create safe opportunities for participants to improvise as little or as much as they might like.
Good for all skill levels, shower-singers to seasoned pros, no sheet-music-reading required.
This month we welcome special guest and co-leader [Micah Hendler](http://micahhendler.com/), a musical changemaker building community through song - with Palestinian and Israeli youth in the [Jerusalem Youth Chorus](http://jerusalemyouthchorus.org/), here in the DMV through [Community Sings at Levine Music](https://www.levinemusic.org/performance/community-sings/), and more.
\*\*\*
We usually meet on the second Sunday of the month, and will continue to meet in-person as long as it makes sense. We encourage and provide masks.
We will also plan on continuing our Zoom circles from time to time. So please check the day before/day of the meetup each month to confirm date & details.
This world needs more song; join in the fun, and be the music you want to hear in the world.
Hope to see you there!

The size of the group usually runs somewhere between 25-40 people in-person and between 12-25 online. Chairs are provided, or you may bring a sitting cushion or bench. You may also use the blankets and bolsters offered by the yoga studio.
**We offer both in-person and online attendance.**

Love, Desire and Relationships
During the month of February we celebrate love & relationships – but what actually is love?! Join us for a meaningful and enjoyable Friday Night Lecture and walk away knowing how to improve relationships of all kinds.
During this event you will learn how desirous attachment, aka “sticky desire”, in our close relationships and friendships is almost always confused for love. Even though they have opposite effects — love causing happiness in the relationship, attachment causing problems and unhappiness in the relationship — it is not easy for us to distinguish between them without receiving clear teachings. When we do know the difference, we can enjoy our relationships so much more.

Self-Love: Confidence Through Expression
Confidence can be cultivated in many ways—through reflection, conversation, creativity, and practice. In this Confidence Lab session, we’ll explore one powerful pathway: **building confidence from the inside out through physical expression and movement**.
This experience is designed to help you reconnect with your body as a source of insight, self-trust, and presence. We’ll begin by grounding into what’s bringing you here, creating space to notice how your body is showing up and what it’s holding. From there, you’ll be guided through accessible movement exercises that invite awareness and choice—isolating different parts of the body, experimenting with movement, and practicing what it feels like to take up space intentionally.
Next, you’ll participate in a small-group dance lesson led in a supportive, low-pressure environment. No dance experience is needed. The focus is not on performance or perfection, but on expression, curiosity, and allowing yourself to move with confidence as you are.
We’ll close with a reflective group discussion, exploring what emerged during the experience and how these insights can be applied beyond the studio—how you inhabit your body, how you carry yourself, and how you show up in everyday life.
**What to know:**
* Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you feel good moving in
* No dance experience required
* Light snacks and beverages will be provided
This session is for anyone interested in deepening their relationship with confidence by listening to their body, expanding their capacity for self-expression, and practicing self-love as an embodied experience.

**What is Confidence Lab?**
Confidence Lab is a monthly community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether you’re launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fully—you belong here.
Our work demands clarity, courage, and conviction—but the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work.
It’s designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to lead with authenticity and impact.

CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.
