Meetup: More-than-human Intelligences
[Get your tickets here!](https://ccu.stager.co/shop/default/events/111653443?utm_campaign=more-than-human-meetup&utm_source=meetup)
Creative Coding Utrecht invites you to an evening of presentations and discussion on artistic and research projects at the intersection of AI, bioacoustics, and symbiotic relations.
This meet-up explores more-than-human intelligences: how algorithms, birds, and other beings interact, communicate, and co-create. The event foregrounds the act of listening as a relational practice, one that spans species and technologies.
**Presentations:**
**BioacousticAI**
This project develops deep learning methods for wildlife sound monitoring, enabling more precise and scalable assessments of animal populations. By analysing acoustic data, BioacousticAI contributes to biodiversity research and conservation efforts, offering new ways to “hear” ecosystems and their inhabitants.
*Presented by Céline Angonin, a researcher and musician whose work bridges machine learning and bioacoustics, with a focus on the sonic dimensions of ecological systems.*
**Chorusing Symbionts**
An investigation into interspecies music, this project bridges humans, robots, and animals through ecoacoustics and embodied interaction. Inspired by AI and bioacoustic research, it proposes a form of “sensorial science-fiction,” where artificial creatures evolve in symbiotic relationship with their natural counterparts, blurring boundaries between organic and synthetic life.
*Presented by Matteo Holyoke Marangoni, an artist whose practice integrates music, visual art, robotics, and new technologies to create immersive, multisensory environments.*
**Vogelluisterstation**
A sensor station that records, analyses and visualises bird sounds, making them accessible to both citizen scientists and professionals. The project aims to democratise ecological data, offering insights into local bird activity while lowering technical barriers to engagement with non-human worlds.
*Presented by Niels Jansen, an artist, creative coder, and educator whose work explores digital improvisation in music, dance, and interactive installations.*
**Program:**
19:30 - doors open
20:00 - presentations
20:45 - break
21:00 - Q&A
21:30 - informal drinks

[ARNHEM] Bitcoin Pizza Day
(english/german below)
**Bitcoin Pizza Dag!**

Slow dating - Connection Games [Affinitee Utrecht, May Edition No. 2]
## Love is in the air…!
Experiencing dating burnout? You're not alone.
If you like deep conversations and are finally ready to get out and meet people irl, you've come to the right place!
**No more swiping, skip the bad dates!**
Due to the increasing size of our waiting list, and as per your frequent requests, this is our answer to you with a second event within Utrecht this May!
### *This is how it works:*
* Before you arrive at the meetup, you fill in a fun 5-10 minute questionnaire on [affinitee.eu](https://affinitee.eu/au-event-5) (if you haven't already). We explore different aspects of relationship compatibility using this questionnaire.
* The first one hour will be spent playing icebreaker games that are meant to induce deep conversations and to explore personality traits that don't usually show up in the first stages of a date.
* We will then move on to try out a multitude of board/card games that are specifically chosen to explore various aspects of relationship compatibility (moral/political values, decision making skills, personal icks etc.)
* You will have a chance to interact with everyone at the event. Towards the end of the event, you will also have an opportunity to share your contact details with one other person through our matchmaker. But you're of course welcome to connect with others on your own accord.
* Our attendees typically report having had a wonderful evening having explored a multitude of deep philosophical conversations and leave with the fulfillment of having had met some interesting personalities (romantic & otherwise).
So if this is what you're looking for, we guarantee that you'll not leave disappointed.
**[!!IMPORTANT!!]** We recommend signing up through our website to check for compatibility against other participants. This also allows you to connect with a larger audience outside the event who're in search of better relationships.
We believe in conscious, compatibility based matchmaking. Don't waste your time dating the wrong people!
❤️🥾 Walk & Picknick with Queer Refugees 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Come along, lovely queer hikers! 🌿✨
This time we’re serving an easy-going queer nature moment with a short loop through **Landgoed Heidestein** near Zeist. Think dreamy forest paths, shimmering fens, a peaceful forest pond, and heather fields - a lot of diversity for such a short walk :)
We’re teaming up with **Cocktail (COC’s group for LGBTQIA+ refugees & asylum seekers)** for this event, so besides soaking up nature, we’re creating space for connection, sharing stories, and learning from each other’s journeys and experiences. Expect a vibe that’s part hike, part picknick, part wholesome community exchange. 🌈
Bring your snacks and blankets, as we’ll pause along the way for a relaxed picnic moment together.
Because queer joy isn’t just about where we go, but who we walk with. 💖
**Practical info**
📏 **Distance:** 5 or 7 km (loop walk)
📍 **Start:** Bus stop Prinses Margrietlaan, Zeist (5km option) Driebergen-Zeist station (7km option)

❌ If you signed up and cannot make it in the end, please cancel your RSVP attendance so we know how many people will show up and someone else can take your place instead.

The meditation space is down at the canal. To get there, you can take the stairs down.
The meditation is offered on a donation basis.

Meditatiedag - Ontdek de kracht van stilte
**Datum:** Zondag 21 september 2025
**Plaats:** Jewel Heart, Hatertseveldweg 284, Nijmegen.
**Tijd**: 10.30u-16.00u (inloop vanaf 10.00 uur)
**Bijdrage**: Jewel Heart-leden kunnen gratis deelnemen. Niet-leden betalen € 30,-

Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process.

• Show up and try it out.
• Complete application, etc. later.

• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.

Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
In-Person Meeting: How to Improve Relationships with Others
Attend a free seminar on how to have successful and lasting relationships.
At this seminar you will learn:
How to spot and handle negative and toxic relationships.
How to get through the "rough patches" in a relationship.
How to choose the right people to work with.
The three things that make or break any relationship.
How to make a good relationship great.
All are welcome. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
Hosted by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.**
How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
Then we will go into a topic discussion.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
**COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS**
