Rooted in somatic practice and my Body Noise methodology, we move through breathwork, voice activation, and guided reflection, generating new text through movement, word association, and response to prompts and poetic indices. As a facilitator, Dumama is interested in how people can show up in their entirety—without shame or judgment—and allow multidimensional texts to emerge in relation to the present moment. The workshop moves as a kind of care lab, where participants can collectively be with what is here, softly, together. Through prompts, free writing, and optional sharing, Gugu holds space for writing as a practice of care, release, and self-attunement. *This workshop is free. Participatns are encouraged to bring a donation to support the artist.* **Words and stories reside within all of us, waiting to be discovered.** Our monthly Open Writing Circle invites people with all levels of writing experience to explore their creativity and imagination. In each session, one of Berlin’s many exceptional writers, poets, artists, or curators will create a vibrant and collective learning experience. Whether you’re interested in fiction, memoir, non-fiction, or poetry, this supportive space encourages you to uncover the words within you. We’ll draw upon techniques used in writing workshops to unleash your innate talent in a collaborative environment that will allow for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. This workshop aims to create an affirming, playful and empowering space for queer people to explore, express and celebrate their identities as well as to provide a platform for the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community to be shared, heard and valued. 🔵 **Open writing circle** Fur **LGTBQIA+** Mit **Gugulethu Duma** **[Kostenlos mit Anmeldung](https://wearevillage.org/shop/writing-circle/w12-2026/)** **Gast in diesem Monat: Gugulethu Duma (aka Dumama)** **Softening, Observing, Allowing: Schreiben mit dem Körper** Dieser Workshop lädt Sie zu einem sanften, verkörperten Zugang zur Sprache ein. The Quiet Hour - Women's Circle
The Quiet Hour - Women's Circle
**The Quiet Hour** is a two-and-a-half-hour guided journey for women — a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of shared presence. When we speak about healing in this space, it is not limited to one dimension. It can touch the emotional, mental, and physical layers of our experience. The intention is to create a moment where the body can soften, the mind can quiet, and we can reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity and alignment within ourselves. During the evening, we guide you through meditation, visualization, sound, and gentle energy work. The vibrations of sound help the body release tension, while the guided visualization invites you to reconnect with the life you wish to create and the deeper intentions that live within you. Together, we also explore the power of identity — the understanding that the way we see ourselves shapes the life we experience. When we reconnect with our inner strength and authenticity, we begin to move from emotional chaos toward a more grounded and stable foundation within ourselves. At **SheWhoRests**, we believe that every woman carries immense strength within her. Yet even the strongest among us needs connection — someone who believes in our dreams, understands our struggles, and holds space for our journey. That is why community and connection are an important part of this gathering. Through gentle sharing and simple exercises, we create moments where women can feel supported by one another and remember that we are not walking this journey alone. The intention of The Quiet Hour is simple: to offer a space where you can pause, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling more grounded, more understood, and more supported in your journey.
Pink Full Moon Women's Circle at Lilium
Pink Full Moon Women's Circle at Lilium
This April Pink Full Moon, we gather at the beautiful Lilium to celebrate a very important threshold of spring, rooted in ancient mythologies and traditions of rebirth, resurrection, and nature. With a special focus on the topic “Resurrection of the divine feminine”- we take a closer look at the archetypical story of the spring goddess; her many forms and incantations throughout history, what we may learn from her- and the meaning of prevalent symbols of spring- such as the egg, the hare, and spring flowers. Through a mixture of story, ritual, collective sharing, we co-create a space with the energies of the full moon- to reflect, to release, to pave way for rebirth, and to bloom into spring. CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI

Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again. We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all. Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.
Bad Girls Book Club April 2026
Bad Girls Book Club April 2026
**Our April novel is: *The Hong Kong Widow* by Kristen Loesch** **This month’s novel blends gothic atmosphere with historical fiction and chilling horror, set against the haunting backdrop of China. The book is 368 pages in print and 10 hours and 42 minutes on audiobook.** In 1950s Hong Kong, Mei is a young refugee of the Chinese Communist revolution struggling to put her past in Shanghai behind her. When she receives a shocking invitation—to take part in a competition in one of the city's most notorious haunted houses, pitting six spirit mediums against one another in a series of six séances over six nights, until a single winner emerges—she has every reason to refuse. Except that the hostess, a former Shanghainese silent film star, is none other than the wife of the man who once destroyed Mei’s entire life. It is promised the winner will receive a fortune, but there is only one prize Mei wants: revenge. Decades later, the final night of that competition has become an infamous urban legend: The police were called to the scene of a brutal massacre but found no evidence, dismissing it as a collective hallucination. Mei knows what she saw, but now someone else is convinced they know what she did. She must uncover the truth about the last night she ever spent in that house—even if the ghosts of her past are waiting for her there. . . .
