Free Screening: We Only Want the Earth: The Life & Ideas of James Connolly
Come join me for a free in-person screening of Alan Gilsenan's feature documentary exploring James Connolly's life and ideas followed by a Q&A. James Connolly stands as one of the defining figures of Irish socialism, republicanism, and the trade union movement. This documentary also explores Connolly's piviotal involvement in the 1916 Easter Rising. The film is further enriched by performances of songs and poetry from the following: Christy Moore, Stephen Rea, and Connollys great-great-granddaughter Tamsin Iona Connolly Heron. Q&A: with the film makers and Des Geraghty, the former President of SIPTU. If you are on the going list, there is a ticket for you. I booked a max of 14 tickets. Meet in the lobby of the LIght House Cinema at 5.40pm. Event starts at 6pm and finishes at 8pm. I look forward to seeing you there.

Before Midnight
Before Midnight
Hi all, Our *‘before’* Triology concludes on **Sunday April 26th at 3.30pm** with the screening of **Before Midnight.** Finally a couple, and now parents, the older and wiser Céline and Jesse face the reality away from the romance while on holiday. Living in France, he misses his son in Chicago, while she is struggling with her career. Recognising the stresses of their relationship, the two consider their past and future, and do so together, the conversation that began in Vienna still and always continuing. This is a fitting close (for now?) to one of cinema’s finest portrayals of a relationship. Screening is taking place in screen 1 and early booking is advised. I’ll be in the foyer from 3.00pm with my purple baseball hat. See you all there, Martin

Fields In *City Lights*, Chaplin's Little Tramp meets a blind girl selling flowers who mistakes him for a wealthy man. When he learns that an operation may restore her sight, he sets off to earn the money she needs to have the surgery. AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s? This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation? We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee. Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus. We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior.
