Please take a moment to read the information and rules for the sessions. **Overview:** Improv sessions in English accepting all levels. We play short and long-form improv comedy, which includes theater-style scenes, guessing, and group games. **Topics:** * Timing * Location * Participation (Attendees list) * RSVP rules * Improv session format * Who is it for? (Participation requirement) *** * **Timing** Being on time will help you and everyone. **18h15** \- Doors open *Please take this time to order your drinks/food and settle in.* **18h30** \- Start of the session **Are you late?** Please inform the event host, or comment on the event page. If you arrive late and the session is already in progress, please wait on the side till the game/scene is finished. Wait for the session moderator to indicate when you can start participating. * **Location** The session takes place on the first floor of The Sister Cafe. Stairs next to the bar. It's the room with a curtain at the door. * **Participation (Attendee list)** The session is limited to **12 attendees**. This is to ensure that the session is manageable and everybody gets enough chances to participate. Therefore, only the people on the "attendee list" are allowed to be present at the session and participate. **Waiting list**: People on the waiting list should keep an eye on the updates, in case someone from the attendees' list drops and you get their spot. **Just want to observe?** Usually, we don't allow any extra audience during these sessions. We invite you to come to any of our shows. But if for some reason you are only interested in observing and not participating, please contact the event host on meetup, or talk with them personally at the session and explain your reasons. Admission for this is not guaranteed. *People on the attendee list are expected to take part.* * **RSVP Rules** * Please update your RSVP status in a timely manner, if you can't make it to the session. This applies to people on the **attendee list AND waiting list.** * If you are on the waiting list, and already know that you won't be able to join in case someone from the main list drops, please update your RSVP to "not going". This will give the chance to the next person on the waiting list. * Emergencies aside, please update your rsvp status on time. Canceling last minute or just 1 hour before isn't helpful. * If we see a pattern from someone not showing up after confirming, or last-minute cancellations, we reserve the right to prohibit access to the sessions. * Please write a comment if you cancel and your spot becomes available. With this others will get an extra notification. **Improv Session Format** The session is held in English. The session is divided into three sections: Warm up, Scene games, and Cool down. **Warmup:** Quick group games are played to break the ice and get the creative juices flowing. **Scenes:** Then we move on to scene games. These are mostly from short-form improv, which can include different games with various gimmicks, like story building, character work, guessing, etc **Cool down:** One or two short group games to end the session. The rules are explained by the moderator before each game. There is no obligation to take part in games that you are not comfortable with. There can be feedback after a game is played. This is so that we learn from each other and gain skills and insights. **Tip**: If you are new, pay attention to the regular players when they are performing and notice small details, like how a stage is cleared before a scene, how to enter a scene, and how to collaborate with each other. * **Who is it for?** Anyone who is interested in improv! We accept all levels, beginners, and advanced participants This is a great place to start if you are new to improv. The basics will be explained. We only require the "Yes, and...!" spirit! We begin with an energizing sequence to wake up the body, add a small playful challenge to build strength and confidence, and then slow down into calming stretches and guided relaxation. The class is open to all levels, and you’re invited to move at your own pace and make the practice truly yours. A once-in-a-lifetime trek through rhododendron forests, mountain villages and Himalayan giants-ending at Annapurna Base Camp. Join a small team of motivated trekkers and make your steps count. **What this is** From **April 23 (in _Kathmandu_!) to May 3 2026** (we’re gathering a small group of fellow adventurers for an unforgettable Himalayan trek to Annapurna Base Camp (3,900m) - a classic route that blends jaw-dropping mountain scenery with warm local culture, hearty teahouse nights, and that unbeatable feeling of earning every view. This isn’t a race. It’s a shared adventure: early starts, crisp mountain air, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and days spent walking beneath some of the world’s most majestic peaks. **Dates**: 23 April - 3 May 2026 **Start/Finish**: Kathmandu → Pokhara → Trek → Pokhara → Kathmandu **Trek level**: Moderate+ (good fitness required) **Distance/Altitude**: ~65 km trekking, up to 3,900m **Why you’ll love it** Picture this: Sunrise spilling over snow-covered ridges Stone steps winding through terraced hillsides Suspension bridges above rushing rivers Teahouses glowing with warmth at night The dramatic amphitheatre of Annapurna towering above you at base camp Nepal has a way of making the world feel bigger—and your worries smaller. **The route** (high level itinerary) Day 1 – Kathmandu: arrive + visit a Sense International project We begin in Kathmandu and, importantly, visit a local project connected to the charity we’re fundraising for. Day 2 – Kathmandu → Pokhara Travel to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara—gateway to the Annapurnas. Day 3 – Start trekking: Nayapul → Ghandruk (1,950m) A strong opening day through villages and mountain trails, finishing in the charming Gurung village of Ghandruk. Day 4 – Ghandruk → Chomrong (2,040m) A classic Annapurna day: forest paths, stone steps, and our first big mountain panoramas. Day 5 – Chomrong → Bamboo (2,310m) We head deeper into the valley as the scenery becomes more rugged and dramatic. Day 6 – Bamboo → Himalayan Hotel (2,920m) A steady climb into higher terrain—cooler air, bigger peaks, and that growing “we’re really doing this” feeling. Day 7 – Himalayan Hotel → Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3,700m) We reach MBC beneath the iconic “Fishtail” peak—thin air, huge views, big excitement. Day 8 – Machhapuchhare BC → Annapurna Base Camp (3,900m) + descend to Bamboo Summit day (in trekking terms): we reach Annapurna Base Camp, soaking in the towering south face of Annapurna and surrounding giants—then start descending. Day 9 – Bamboo → Jhinu Danda (1,780m) (hot springs optional!) We drop to warmer altitudes and, time permitting, reward ourselves with a soak in the natural hot springs. Day 10 – Jhinu Danda → Pokhara + celebration dinner Return to Pokhara, shower like champions, and celebrate. Day 11 – Pokhara → Kathmandu Back to Kathmandu for the final night. **Who should join** You love hiking and want a real adventure with a supportive group You’re happy with multi-day trekking and teahouse living You can train a bit beforehand (weekend hikes, stairs, cardio) together with the rest of the group You want your travel to mean something beyond the photos Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a motivated first-time Himalayan trekker, you’ll fit right in if you bring a good attitude and a willingness to be challenged. **The purpose (and why it matters)** This trek is also a fundraising challenge for Sense International, which supports deafblind children in Nepal—helping them access communication, education, and support so they can thrive rather than be isolated. We’ll be raising funds alongside the trek, and every step we take is dedicated to building a better future for children who face a far greater daily challenge than any mountain trail. **Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!** **We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.** **If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward at Prost Beer and Wine Cafe. Www.prostcafe.com**

We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).

We will hike the Ridge Trail and Meadows Trail twice, for a total of 3.8 miles. There are some pretty good inclines so plan on getting a cardio workout :). This is a loop which is pretty easy to follow; thus faster walkers can take the lead and the rest (like me) will bring up the rear at a slightly slower pace. You could also just do the loop once for 1.9 miles. No one left behind. Optional lunch to follow in Canal Winchester. I'm working through the metro parks - this is the third one!
