*** ### **Why This Forum Exists** À Bruxelles, plusieurs initiatives proposent des débats structurés. The goal is not exclusivity, but accountability and quality of discussion. If this format doesn’t suit you, this event may not be the right fit.

Let's Cook Together: Indian Veggie & Vegan Workshop – Wed Eve, 8th April
Welcome, everyone, to a delectable foodie meetup where you'll embark on a journey to master the art of crafting authentic Indian dishes, tailored to your dietary preferences—be it **vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free.** Immerse yourself in the rich aroma of Indian herbs as we guide you through these culinary adventures. Our cooking workshops promise to transport your taste buds across India's diverse regions—North, East, West, and South—bringing to your kitchen the vibrant flavours that define each corner of our country. No longer will you need to venture out to savour the exquisite tastes of India; now, you can recreate them in the comfort of your own home. As the age-old Indian proverb attests, "The finest Indian food is crafted within one's own kitchen." While patience is a virtue in the culinary world, fear not, for patience is precisely what we'll impart here. Over the course of 2 to 2.5 hours, you'll gain mastery over a variety of Indian culinary delights. And to conclude, you'll have the delightful opportunity to share your creations with your loved ones, taking the essence of India's culinary heritage beyond our meetup. Join us for an unforgettable experience where you'll not only learn to cook but also unravel the secrets of Indian cuisine. Your culinary journey starts here! **Let's Embrace Eco-Friendliness** In our commitment to the environment, we have a small favor to ask. While we do offer takeaway containers for your culinary creations, we also invite you to contribute to our sustainability efforts. If you're able, consider bringing along your own 200-250 ml container for the takeaway portion. By doing so, we can collectively take a step towards reducing plastic usage and minimizing our ecological footprint. **FAQ:** * **What does this workshop covers?** At our culinary gatherings, this workshop is designed as a complete meal experience. Board Game Fun Night @ Hal5 in Kessel-Lo
Board Game Fun Night @ Hal5 in Kessel-Lo
1. **Always RSVP before attending.** 2. **Limited spots:** RSVP does not guarantee a spot — please check if you're on the main list or the waitlist. 3. **WAITLIST notice:** Please don’t take a spot from someone who signed up in time — only attend if you’re off the waitlist. You may move to the active list if someone cancels, which can happen the day before or even on the day of game night. 4. **Be on time:** If you’re more than 20–25 minutes late, you likely can’t join a table — we won’t restart game explanations for latecomers. You may wait for the next game. 5. **Take care of the games:** The people hosting the evening kindly bring and share their own private — and often quite expensive — games. Please don’t bend the cards (these aren’t just cheap poker decks!), be gentle with the components, and make sure everything goes back neatly in the box. 6. **Be present, not on your phone:** Please give your attention when someone is explaining the rules — especially the person hosting the game, who took the time to prepare and make sure everyone can enjoy it. This is a game night, not just a casual bar hangout, so please respect their effort and the focus of the other players. 7. **No double booking:** On Wednesdays, another game night is organized at the same time by another group, the International House of Leuven (IHL). If you sign up for both events, we will automatically remove you from our list. Please don’t be rude by occupying a spot that someone else could use — respect both communities and let everyone enjoy a fair chance to join.

BBQ and Games next to Plasky Square, Food/Drinks/Games
BBQ and Games next to Plasky Square, Food/Drinks/Games
Spring is doing its yearly cameo in Brussels, so we’re stealing the good weather for a **garden BBQ**: grill smoke, laughs, games of cards, new friends, and language switching mid-sentence like civilized chaos. The goal is easy language practice, meeting new people, and having a good time. This is a **bring & share** setup: you show up with something tasty, you leave with new words, new people ### **The vibe** * Backyard BBQ, relaxed and social * Language exchange baked into the night (talk, eat, switch languages, repeat) * Cultural food is strongly encouraged: bring your “this is what we eat at home” item ### **Languages** Host are fluent in **English, Italian, French, Spanish**, **Tamoul, German.** If you speak anything else, bring it. We collect languages like Pokémon. ### **What to bring (Bring & Share)** * Food + drinks for you **AND** something to share * Bonus points for something from your culture * If you’re bringing veggie stuff, make it something people actually want to eat. ### **If you don’t want to bring food** Message the host in WhatsApp. You can pay a **small fee** instead and still eat like a functional adult. ### **Contribution** **€2 per person** to cover wood/charcoal. Yes, even in 2026 humans still pay for fire. ### **Location (shared privately)** The address is shared **only** with confirmed RSVPs who: 1. Join the CLUB WhatsApp chat 2. Send a quick intro: first name + languages + what you’re into WhatsApp link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/F2hTxZ4TT3hHICiihX1Efy ### **Rules (because humans)** * **Not a dating meetup.** * This is not an “NPC meetup” where everyone tiptoes around like they’re negotiating a hostage release. People can talk freely and share opinions. **No censorship, no tone-policing, no drama farming.** * **No creeps. No harassment. No pushing after a “no.” No weird DMs.** * Respect the host’s home, neighbors, and the group. * If you act shady, you’re out. Simple.

The **prime time** of the event is **10:30 - 12:30**. That's when most people will be there. 2. When you enter the gallery, it's either on the right-hand side or left-hand side of its hallway, depending which entrance you take. 3. If you intend **to join past 12:00** (high noon), then there is no need to register. Just come and join! 4. **DON'T forget to cancel** if you can't join! 5. **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. I message everyone on the waiting list on Friday. * **Please, move to "not going" AS SOON AS you know that you can't come anymore, that includes everyone who is on the waiting list.** **IMPORTANT:** * **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))** * When you register yourself, be careful not to register accidentally a +1 guest (unless you bring a guest). It happens very often. * If you have any questions then, message me. *** **A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:** *In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.* *Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.* *I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.* *In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.* **THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON Saturday!**
Football match at Parc du Cinquantenaire
Football match at Parc du Cinquantenaire
If you have a ball, please bring it... Let's gather at the Parc du Cinquantenaire close to the Tour de Tournai (https://goo.gl/maps/RsxFtTJydq92) and organize a *low-level* football match on the grass. Unless it rains badly as we're about to play, the game is on. Players of any age, weight, sex and size are allowed. Come as you are, at any time after 4pm. IMPORTANT REMINDER -- As Shitty Players, we don't bite or growl when someone misses the ball. We don't do penalties or yellow cards because we're so gentle we don't need them. We vaguely know of the existence of other rules like off-side but we'd rather ignore them than argue about them. We may or may not keep track of the score: this is a game where everyone wins. To help build the Team, come with 2 t-shirts white and black (or similar colors: light grey and dark blue etc). Beer session will follow on the grass, for those who survive till the end.
