Looking to improve your pickleball game while getting lots of quality court time? Join our Pickleball Skills & Play Workshop, designed for novice to intermediate players (2.5–3.5) who want to build confidence, sharpen skills, and gain valuable match experience in a supportive, social environment.
Led by Certified DUPR Coach Joallore Alon, this unique program combines guided match play, live coaching, and skill development so you can improve while actively playing.
Whether you're looking to become more consistent, make smarter shot selections, improve positioning, or gain confidence during games, this workshop is built to help you level up in real match situations.

**Who Should Join?**

Participants should have prior pickleball experience and be comfortable rallying, serving, and keeping score. This is not a learn-to-play session for brand new players.

Low Intermediate 4s (beach rules)
This will be a 4 v 4 format. You will play 4s with beach rules but you’ll be playing against Low Int 5s or Mid 4s
This event is for those currently playing Low Int 5s and want to transition to Mid Int 4s level and transitioning to playing with beach rules.
You should be amongst the strongest players at the Low Int 5s level to play this level.

Underwater Rugby Practice and Game (Beginner's welcome)
**Welcome to our group! We hope to see you out at the pool soon. We play Fridays 8:30-10pm at Riverdale Collegiate Institute pool. We have lots of spare gear for you to try the game, so there is no need to buy anything before you try U/W Rugby. Just bring your suit and towel. And your first 2 practices are free!**

**Volleyball Foundations 3 — Connect Your Skills & Play with Confidence (15+)**
Ready to move beyond isolated skills and start playing with flow and purpose? Volleyball Foundations 3 is designed for players who are ready to connect their techniques and develop real game awareness in a team setting.
In this progressive clinic, you’ll focus on integrating your skills into live, rally-based play:
• **Reading the Ball:** Anticipate trajectory and react earlier to stay one step ahead
• **Defense:** Improve footwork, positioning, and overall court coverage
• **Attacking:** Learn the 3-step approach and develop controlled, effective hits over the net
You’ll also begin to understand the rhythm of the game through continuous play. Sessions emphasize “wash drills” and extended rallies, helping you stay engaged, make decisions under pressure, and build confidence during longer points.
Players will be introduced to the **6-Up defensive system** and develop strong on-court communication skills to navigate fast-paced, unpredictable situations.

Low Intermediate level is for players looking to continue to improve their game and play a more structured game. You have experience playing volleyball recently and have some ball control and want to and can play 3 hit volleyball. Intermediate does NOT play beach rules volleyball.

Badminton Enthusiast
This group is for badminton enthusiasts who are passionate about exploring the connections between metabolism, energy, and exercise. We are welcome beginner plus, intermediate and advance level players looking to improve your skill or a seasoned player seeking to optimize your performance on the court, this group is for you! Join us for friendly games. This badminton session is a weekly event and it is followed with dinner together but it is optional.
ATTENTION:
Due to many first timers signed up the event but no show, I have no choice to charge the first timers $10 per person as deposit via etransfer to me no later then Friday night. **Info:** 2 hours of 5v5 indoor futsal at the East Bayfront Recreation Centre in Downtown Toronto.
**Cost:** $4.75
**Note:** This venue/event is run by the **City of Toronto.** Upon arriving, please check in with the front desk! I do not take any payments. **Make sure you arrive early, their check-in process is really slow sometimes.**
**Setup:**
* 2 Teams (or 3 if we have 15 players)
* 7 min games
* Subs rotate between games / two games on, one game off (if there are 3 teams)

Loose Tea Tasting
Please join Columbus Tea Lovers for a tasting of loose leaf teas at a private residence in Worthington. (The address will be sent out via private Meetup message a day ahead to those who have RSVP'd.)
June 20th is the Worthington Arts Festival so feel free to attend that event which is down the street in addition to the tea party.
For this tasting please bring a tea or tisane (an herbal brew that contains no tea leaves) does not come in a prepackaged tea bag. You can feel free to bring it pre-brewed in a carafe or thermos; please leave out the milk and sweetener as we will have some on hand to mix and match. We will have the kettle on and fillable single serve disposable tea bags if you would like to bring the tea leaves unbrewed and extra tea cups on hand as well.
We welcome you to bring snacks or desserts that are you enjoy pairing with tea. You can bring a chair if the day is nice in case we sit outside. There is a cat in the house, so be aware in case of allergies.
