The Lineup for the evening:
Talk 1: **Ask the Career Coach** \- Live AMA \(Ask Me Anything\)
**Abstract:** The tech job market has changed a lot in the past couple of years. Layoffs, longer job searches, and rapid shifts driven by AI are leaving many professionals wondering about their next move.
In this interactive AMA session, Valentina Scipione will answer your questions about careers in tech.
Bring anything you have been wondering about, for example:
* navigating the current job market
* what hiring managers actually look for
* career transitions within tech
* job search strategy
* how AI may reshape roles in data and engineering
No slides. Just your questions and an open conversation.
**Speaker:** Valentina Scipione
**Bio:** Valentina Scipione is a Career and Leadership Coach, Engineering Manager, and hiring manager with a background in Astrophysics and more than a decade of experience in software engineering and quality. Based in Berlin and co-organiser of the PyData Berlin community, she brings together leadership experience and professional coaching to help tech professionals build more fulfilling careers with strategy, not autopilot.
**Talk 2: Solving real life problems with basic Python**
**Abstract:** 2 years ago I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting an amazing person who invited me to join the Python en Español community.
This community is mainly aimed at people who have 0 to no knowledge about the language and they want to learn. The recurring problem for many of these practitioner is to find good real life examples to practice their skills.
Did you know that you can solve 90% of business problems with only prints and inputs?
well, maybe that was a lie but not far off from the truth.
In this talk I want to guide you on how you can solve a real life case scenario of a business wanting to adjust the prices of their articles base on real time demand. Starting with a few variables an input and a print and slowly grow into a real time system consuming from different sources, to answer the hardest question there is.
Was it worth it? or should we have stopped at reading from files 7 iterations ago?
**Speaker:** Eric Rishmüller
**Bio:** Eric works as a Lead Data Engineer at Thomann Musikhaus. He has been living in Berlin for the past five years and is originally from Argentina. Eric started sharing his passion for Python seven years ago and is quite active in Spanish-speaking Python communities.
**Lightning talks**
There will be slots for 2-3 Lightning Talks (3-5 Minutes for each).
Kindly let us know if you would like to present something at the start of the meetup :)

Ultimate Frisbee in the Park - weekend edition
Hi everyone. We'll meet and play a relaxed game of ultimate in Volkspark Rehberge if the weather cooperates.
Our games focus on having great team play, where the teams work together to advance the disk down the field. It's more important to work well together as a team than have a few star players get a point with lucky shots. For this reason, players of all skill levels (especially those who have never played) are welcome to join
Bring plenty of water, shoes you can run in and comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty.
Although we're an established group, newcomers are always welcome.
After the game we try to spend some time together and have fun.
Finding us: We meet in this big grassy area, it's a short bike ride from the subway stop Rehberge on the U6 or Amrumer Strasse on the U9. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so we've got a few methods to help out (don't trust the meetup map pin, it often shows some point in the park, not the exact spot where we are)
1. GPS: 52°32'54.9"N 13°19'51.0"E ; 52.548581, 13.330842

*By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risk of injury while playing Ultimate. Although adherence to the rules, proper equipment, and common sense reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, you willingly and freely assume all such risks.*

Fimlscreening in Babylon Berlin „Nanoplastics. Threat to Life“ EN/DE
EN: **Film Screening at Babylon Berlin**
**“Nanoplastics – Threat to Life”**
March 7 \| 2:00–6:30 PM
This documentary explores one of the most urgent environmental and public health issues of our time: micro- and nanoplastics — invisible, yet already present in our environment and even in our bodies.
Nanoplastics affect our health, ecosystems, and climate processes. The film brings together current scientific findings and highlights what makes nanoplastics particularly dangerous: their ability to accumulate electrostatic charge — a largely overlooked factor with far-reaching consequences.
🧬 What impact does this have on our health?
🌍 What does this mean for our future?
A global environmental problem that urgently requires societal responses.
🎬 Language: English with German subtitles
A discussion and Q&A session will follow the screening.
🎟 Free admission
📩 Please register in advance

DE: Filmvorführung im Babylon Berlin
„Nanoplastik – Die unsichtbare Lebensgefahr“ (Nanoplastics. Threat to Life)

There Must Be a Lilac: EventStorming with Alberto Brandolini
He's back! The inventor of EventStorming is once again joining the Berlin Collaborative Modeling Meetup for an evening of massive learning, massive laughter, and no doubt a massive number of sticky notes.
Here is the agenda:
**Collaborative Reverse Roadmapping**
We'll put future events on a timeline to build the future we want to happen and make it tactically sound. We'll leverage ideas from
* EventStorming (surprise!)
* Futurespective
* Traditional planning
And we'll explore a tool that will enable strategic planning and overcome deadlocks.
This is a rare opportunity to spend time with a true thought leader in the DDD community and the person who contributed to the world the whole premise of our meetup. He's full of insights and stories, wit and wisdom, and we are lucky to have him drop by to share them with us. Don't miss this one!
**Please do not RSVP if you do not intend to come. For this event only, we have to limit attendance.**
As always, everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a software engineer to participate. In fact, it would be great to have more people who aren't software engineers. We're here to solve problems cross-functionally, not get into implementation details. As long as you care passionately about getting things right, then you belong here!
This is a hands-on workshop. Be prepared to participate fully and add to the energy of the room. Looking forward to seeing you there!
2v2 Intermediate+ Beach Volley 💪
Join us for intermediate and advanced play on **indoor** 2v2 courts.
If you are not yet at the intermediate level (F1+) or want to play 3v3/4v4, sign up via [the simultaneous event](https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/) instead.
We play with beach rules: do not use open hands for the first or last touches, do not touch the net, etc. We overbook slightly to ensure we have enough players and to allow individuals to take breaks.
After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area.
It's recommended that you come 10 minutes early so you have time to change and find the fields. If it is your first time, 15 minutes might be even better.
We play in domes that are heated up to at least 15C.
You can join whatever court you like and move between courts during the event. We self-organize, so once you finish a game, you can start a rematch, mix with another court, or take a break as you see fit. Upon arrival, join the warmup happening on one of the courts.
Join our WhatsApp community via [https://volley.berlin/WhatsApp](https://volley.berlin/WhatsApp) ([QR code](https://secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/f/d/5/highres_532249109.webp))

**Rules**: Do not join if you have an infectious disease.
**Venue**: We play at BeachMitte. There are changing rooms, toilets, and hot water showers that cost 1 EUR. There are no lockers. There is a bar that sells drinks and snacks.
**Payment**: You pay in advance via Meetup. Payment via PayPal or Urban Sports Club is not possible.
**Refunds**: The venue does not provide refunds. Thus, we cannot refund you either, even in cases where the event is canceled due to bad weather. If you know you can't make it in advance, you can try selling your spot to someone else via WhatsApp or the comment section. You get a full refund if the event gets canceled due to poor attendance.

Come to the Prototype and Play workshop to collaborate and meet local game developers for an evening of epic and raw game play fun! Play works-in-progress, show off your own game, work with others to add polish to a game, or even lend your talents to other fellow developers.
Can use South Garage at the Gateway with a $5 voucher on your way out.
