FREE Oral Conversational Spanish, English, and French Classes 4 Adults!!
FREE Oral Conversational Spanish, English, and French Classes 4 Adults!!
\*These classes are not a language exchange, but instead are meant to be a step in between so that students feel confident maintaining in depth and grammatically correct oral conversations outside of class\* \***Meetup event numbers only tend to show new students registering and do not include returning students attending class.** **Per class, there is an average of 7 students.** The first 2 classes are free and then only cost between $15 and $45 depending on which type of class you want to continue with\* These French, English (for Spanish and French speakers only), and Spanish classes are primarily meant for adults who are travellers, or who are planning to live in a French, English, or Spanish-speaking country. The classes are primarily oral-based through guided conversations. They will teach you how to handle conversations in situations such as **"Going to the Convenience Store"**, **"Making Plans"**, **"Negotiating Prices"**, and **"Going out for a Drink"**. To ensure that students get used to using the language automatically, students will learn to maintain contextual conversations with timing before moving on to the next lesson. **Program is also offered in private and online classes**. Winter Solstice Muskoka Hike
Winter Solstice Muskoka Hike
**Please note we simply list our events on Meetup - the only way to register for an adventures is on [our website](https://www.wildernessunion.com/upcoming-adventures-and-events).** Muskoka, Ontario's 'Cottage Country', is one of Canada's best-loved and most beautiful destinations. At this time of year, it's more special than ever. We're visiting during the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year and the turning point for longer days! We’ll start the day exploring *Hardy Lake* on a 8km loop trail. This hike introduces you to Muskoka’s distinct scenery, around gorgeous lakes, the iconic granite outcrops of the Canadian Shield and an environment unmistakably shaped by beaver activity. Along the way, you may just spot some of the beavers, otters and turtles who call Hardy Lake home, offering a true snapshot of Muskoka's wilderness. We’ll finish the day with a *visit to the iconic town of Bracebridge*, giving you the chance to wander, shop, or simply unwind before we head home. It’s built around a dramatic waterfall that cuts right through the downtown, and it's one of the few places in Ontario where you can walk from an independent coffee shop to a riverside lookout in under five minutes. It offers just enough to explore without feeling rushed, making it a perfect final stop to wind down before the drive home. From forests and lakes to great food and panoramic views, this tour showcases the best Muskoka has to offer in just one day. Join us and experience it yourself. **Included in your trip:** \- Return Transport from Toronto \- You'll ride in our comfortable air conditioned coach\, with a TTC accessible pickup location\. \- Expert Guides Our guides are the best in the business. Friendly, encouraging and brimming with qualifications. They'll keep you safe, teach you all about the environment and ensure you have fun as you do it. **Highlights** **Iconic Scenery -** You'll take in some of the region's most beautiful views. Get up close with the Canadian Shield. **Visit Bracebridge -** Stroll the streets of Muskoka's most striking town. **Wildlife Spotting -** If you're lucky, you may spot the beavers and otters that call this region home. **Itinerary** **07:00 - 09:30:** Bus journey to Muskoka **09:30 - 13:30:** Hike the 8km Hardy Lake Trail **14:00 - 15:30:** Visit Bracebridge **15:30 - 18:00:** Return journey to Toronto **Event cost** ***Wilderness Union members:*** $60+HST (optional transport = $60+HST) **Register [here](https://www.wildernessunion.com/adventures/muskoka-winter-solstice).** **About Wilderness Union** Wilderness Union is deliberate about building an outdoors community of people like you who will become your new friend group. Members range from 20-40 years old and are a mix of people who've grown up here but their friends are in a different place, newcomers to Canada, and folks from out West who want that lifestyle in Toronto Attendance numbers on Meetup don't reflect our actual event attendance - we typically have 15-20 community members at each event. Large enough that there's someone new to meet but small enough that it's not overwhelming! ***Learn more at our website [www.wildernessunion.com](https://www.wildernessunion.com/)***

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
