Far from their children and husbands, they provide for families who cannot survive through traditional rice farming. The film reflects on their dehumanizing working conditions as well as life in a hierarchical society, where the sustenance of men and the upbringing of children fall solely on their shoulders. In addition to the anonymized testimonies, the film features a unique reconstruction of factory life, performed by actual factory workers."
