L’iniziativa è promossa dal Gruppo 100 Milano di Amnesty International in collaborazione con il Municipio 3 del Comune di Milano. L'appuntamento, aperto a tutta la cittadinanza, vedrà la partecipazione di:  Alba Bonetti, Presidente di Amnesty International Italia;  Filippo Andrea Rossi, Vice Presidente del Municipio 3 e Assessore alla Cultura. L’installazione della panchina gialla intende trasformare un elemento dell’arredo urbano in uno strumento di memoria collettiva e sensibilizzazione. Collocata in un punto nevralgico di incontro e passaggio quotidiano, la panchina vuole essere uno stimolo costante alla riflessione sulla libertà e sulla giustizia. Il colore giallo, segno distintivo delle campagne globali di Amnesty International, identificherà questo spazio come un presidio contro l'indifferenza e un richiamo al rispetto della dignità umana. La comunità milanese di Amnesty International, prosegue con questa iniziativa la sua missione di impegno civile e promozione dei diritti sul territorio, portando i valori di libertà e dignità umana fuori dalle sedi istituzionali per consegnarli direttamente ai cittadini. By popular demand, the group wanted to read and discuss the semi-autobiographical novel by Henri-Pierre Roche, that inspired the Truffaut movie we watched last year. The book is available through the Columbus Library's interlibrary loan system. They reported there are twenty-eight copies available in the state of Ohio.
