https://maps.app.goo.gl/6ktBwGeASxSpf14d6
Teufelsberg is a former listening station đ» of the West Germany, where now is possible to meet both the History of the place (with some exhibitions too) and art (a lot of wonderful Graffitis đïžđš are now there):
https://www.teufelsberg-berlin.de/en/visit/important-informations/
In addition to the place itself, 2 temporary exhibitions are now present, as you can read on the website.
**Ticket cost: 12 euros (10 euros reduced)**
You can buy the ticket online or on site
Bring your own foodđ and drinksđ„€(in Teufelsberg there are anyway some bar, coffee and food tracks âđ)
We will arrive at Teufelsberg around 14,40 and my plan is to stay there 3 hours or even more (both to see the place and the exhibitions and to stay there together to eat and drink and relax).
We can then spontaneously decide to stay together even longer after Teufelsberg, going to some bar (there is a Bistro in Grunewald đČ) or restaurant.
Everyone is, in any case, free to stay for a longer or shorter time.
I do not provide a "personal support" for people who arrive at Grunewald S Bahn station after 14,10 o'clock
You are responsible to check for the weather and decide if come or not.
Thanks for understanding.
If you have to contact me, make it via Whatsapp, not here on Meetup.

Sonne & Tiefe
Duncan
Authentische Ehrlichkeit: Tiefe, Verbindung & Verbindlichkeit
**Authentische Ehrlichkeit - Ein EinfĂŒhrungs-Workshop**
.
Meine Erfahrungen findest Du hier: [https://abenteuer-freundschaft.de/radikale-ehrlichkeit-erfahrungsbericht](https://abenteuer-freundschaft.de/radikale-ehrlichkeit-erfahrungsbericht)
.

.
**đ Was bringst Du mit?**
* Etwas zu trinken (z.B. deine Wasserflasche, keinen Alkohol!)

StreetÂł Fotografie, Wahrnehmung & echtes Berlin
English is below
In kurz & authentisch & unseriöser KĂŒnstler:)
Wahrnehmung, Fotografie, Streetfood, Walk & beste U-Bahn :)
Dein Fokus.
Wirst ihn immer wieder neu, anders, vertiefend fĂŒr dich kennen lernen.
This street walk combines urban exploration, perception and photography in Berlin.
We make a conscious effort to stay away from the usual tourist routes, exploring Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg and the areas in between. Street life, people, movement and street food are just as much a part of the experience as the photography itself.
This format is less of a traditional photography tour and more of an urban experience that blends perception, a sense of the city and photography. The camera serves not only to capture subjects, but as a tool to see more consciously and perceive moments differently.
Those looking for quick tourist snaps or purely technical instruction are unlikely to be entirely satisfied here. On the other hand, anyone curious about how strongly perception, attention and atmosphere influence which images are created and which memories remain is likely to be in exactly the right place here.
The format is aimed at people interested in photography, at Berliners from the neighbourhood as well as those who want to experience Berlin in a different way. Not as a traditional tour, but something more intimate. Some come for the photographic eye, some for the atmosphere, and some simply to perceive the city more consciously again.
I come from a background in perceptual psychology with a passion for photography, and I combine this perspective with urban experiences. The first walks are part of a beta phase, during which Iâd like to try out shared street experiences outside of team events as well.
To ensure this format can continue in its current form, the suggested donation is from âŹ20.
Bring along your curiosity, a camera or a smartphone to capture your experiences. The rest will happen as we go.
I look forward to seeing you all and to our first walks together this summer.
Pierre

* Valid for this trip or any other trips available on our website.
**WHY GO?**
Fire, water, air and earth. Almost no other region in Germany is dominated by the elements as much as the Eifel uplands. The landscape reflects the geological development of millions of years in fast motion: valleys crossed by rivers, the cones of extinct volcanoes, dry maars which have become moorland, bizarre rock formations and layers of different hill ranges.
The Eifel region was settled by Celts, Romans and Franconians amd the the products of their cultures are still there to be admired: romantic towns such as **Monschau also know as the "Pearl of the Eifel"**, with half-timbered houses dating from the Middle Ages, the fascinating remains of Roman structures and imposing castles such as âBurg Eltzâ. The town is also surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a great base for hiking and outdoor activities.
**WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS?**
* **Exploring Monschau "Pearl of the Eifel":** Charming and picturesque village with preserved half-timber houses in the Eifel mountains on the Rur River Valley. Monschau exudes with history, architecture & romance.
* **Hiking in the Eifel Region:** This region was shaped by volcanic activity and although the last volcano erupted about 10,000 years ago, evidence of the Eifelâs turbulent past can be seen in the crater lakes, called maars, that pepper the Vulkaneifel landscape. The region also boasts some of the loveliest fairy tale towns and medieval castles in the country.
* **Short Guided tour of Aachen:** Aachen is known for its history and culture, as well as its thermal springs and spa. The city was the preferred residence of Charlemagne, and was the place where **31 Holy Roman Emperors** were crowned Kings of the Germans. It's also famous for **Aachen Cathedral**, a **UNESCO World Heritage Site**, which was built in the 8th century and is considered one of the most important examples of Carolingian architecture.
* **Aachen Cathedral:** Aachen Cathedral was the very first site to be granted **UNESCO World Heritage** status in Germany, and with good reason: built in around 790 to 800, the cathedral is of world importance in terms of the history of art and architecture, and is one of the great examples of church architecture. The final resting place of Charlemagne, it was also where German emperors were crowned for 600 years.
* **Aachen Thermal Baths (Optional):** In Aachen, water and wellness have a long tradition. While in former times, the Romans relaxed in the therapeutic waters of the Aachen mineral springs, today, the Carolus Thermen thermal pools offer the perfect escape from everyday life. Perfect way to finish the day.

Zwischen Postkartenmotiv & deinem Bild
*English follows below*
Was dich wirklich anhĂ€lt.
Pierre

**Between Postcard Motif & Your Image**
**Berlin has enough postcards. This time it's about finding out which image in it is truly yours.**
In 3 hours we move from Ostkreuz through the RAW GelĂ€nde and Warschauer BrĂŒcke to OberbaumbrĂŒcke. Through places chosen deliberately because they're full of contrasts, movement and that typical Berlin energy you can't stage. No guided tour, no checklist of spots. More like a shared playground for focus, attention and your own inner photographic eye.
**At the center is a question that almost never gets asked on regular photo walks: How do you filter out from all the noise, the stimuli and the thousand possible subjects of a big city what actually matters to you?** Not what's worth seeing according to a travel guide. What genuinely stops you in your tracks.
With small exercises, real exchange and places that have enough friction to become interesting, we look together at how focus, imagination and your own inner vision influence which images emerge. And why some photos still feel alive later, while others are forgotten three seconds after opening them. Some people notice for the first time here how strongly their own perception changes photography.
The ending is a real Berlin moment. Cold "SpÀti" drinks and/or street food, surrounded by a few of the city's most iconic postcard motifs. Not as a tourist selfie spot, but to see your own images differently and take home ideas from other people's perspectives that you wouldn't have found alone.
**Smartphone or camera, beginner or pro: The space is wide enough for everyone to work at their own level. What counts is curiosity about your own perception and the desire for more than the typical tourist photo tour.**
Suggested donation from 20 âŹ. => Small group, full attention.
I'm looking forward to you and your eye. To the images nobody has made yet, because they've been waiting for you.
Warm regards and anticipation,
Pierre

Franklin Park Conservatory / Columbus Brewing Company
**History**
The [Franklin Park Conservatory](https://www.fpconservatory.org/)âs roots trace back to 1852 when the Franklin County Agricultural Society purchased 88 acres of land to host the Ohio State Fair. After the fair moved to its permanent home, the city of Columbus transformed the grounds into Franklin Park in 1884. This transition shifted the space from a temporary event site to a dedicated public green space for the growing community. The park became a central hub for outdoor recreation and early civic gatherings in the neighborhood.
In 1895, the landmark Victorian-style Palm House opened its doors, drawing heavy inspiration from the Glass Palace of the 1893 Worldâs Columbian Exposition in Chicago. This iron and glass structure became an immediate icon, housing exotic plants that residents would otherwise never see in the Midwest. It remains the oldest part of the facility and serves as a primary link to the conservatoryâs 19th-century origins. For decades, it stood as a singular testament to grand horticultural architecture in Central Ohio.
A major turning point arrived in 1992 when Columbus hosted AmeriFlora '92, an international horticultural exhibition. This massive event prompted a $16 million renovation and expansion, adding significantly more greenhouse space and the Dorothy M. Davis Showhouse. The festival put the conservatory on the international map and fundamentally changed its scale and ambition. Following the event, the facility transitioned from a city-run park to a private, non-profit organization.
In 2003, the conservatoryâs identity was further defined through a long-term partnership with world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. After a successful exhibition, the Friends of the Conservatory purchased most of the glass installations, creating the largest permanent collection of Chihulyâs work in a botanical setting. These vibrant glass sculptures are now woven throughout the biomes, blending art with nature. This addition helped cement the conservatory as a premier cultural destination rather than just a botanical garden.
Recent years have seen the site expand beyond the glass walls to emphasize community engagement and outdoor education. The 2018 opening of the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Childrenâs Garden added two acres of interactive landscape designed for hands-on learning. The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company Community Garden Campus also provides local residents with space to grow their own food and learn sustainable practices. Today, the conservatory balances its historic Victorian charm with modern commitments to local ecology and the Columbus community.
**Maps of the Conservatory**
Here is the [main map](https://www.fpconservatory.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/franklin-park-zones-scaled.jpg) of the Conservatory grounds. Here's a [map of the areas](https://www.fpconservatory.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/ConstructionMap-2026.jpg) in which the Conservatory has ongoing construction (see below).
**Summary**
For this event, we'll explore Columbus's highly-rated and very popular Conservatory. As mentioned above, the Conservatory is doing renovations on parts of the facility. These renovations are scheduled to be ongoing until the Fall of next year.
Basically, no matter when you go to the Conservatory over the next 18 months, you're going to see some metaphorical orange barrels. So let's just go now.
**Tickets and pricing**
On the first Sunday of every month, the Conservatory is free for residents of Franklin County and the city of Columbus. You must bring an ID to receive this discount. (Yes, they do check.) Otherwise, tickets are $25.20.
Members of the Columbus Zoo (of which I am one) do get a discount on tickets, though I have never actually bought a ticket to the Conservatory (I've always gone on free days). I believe the discount is $4.
Parking is always free.
If you have additional questions about pricing or whether and for what you qualify, you can reach the Conservatory at 614-715-8000.
**Where we'll meet**
We will meet just outside the main entrance. I guarantee there's going to be a line. The Conservatory is always popular on free days, and especially in nice weather.
**Your GPS is stupid!**
Be careful simply typing "Franklin Park Conservatory" in your GPS and going where it tells you.
The only way to access the parking lot to the Conservatory is off of Broad Street. Unfortunately, since Google Maps is unable to find its way out of a wet paper bag, it has a tendency to want to take people to a mythical, non-existent Conservatory entrance on Nelson Road.
If your GPS does this, just drive to the north side of the Conservatory along Broad Street. Your GPS should then redirect you to the main Conservatory entrance. If your GPS doesn't, then throw your phone away\* and look for the big Conservatory sign on the south side of Broad Street between Nelson Road and Franklin Park West.
You also should be able to use the map pin I've provided, below, and it should properly direct you to where you need to drive.
\* Don't really do this.
**After the event**
After stopping to smell the roses, for those that are interested, we'll head to the nearby [Columbus Brewing Company Beer Hall](https://columbusbrewing.com/location/beer-hall/) for [drinks](https://columbusbrewing.com/location/beer-hall/#draft-list) and [lunch](https://columbusbrewing.com/location/beer-hall/#food-menu).
The Beer Hall's actual address is [200 Kelton Ave, Columbus, OH 43205](https://www.google.com/maps/place/200+Kelton+Ave,+Columbus,+OH+43205/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x883889a94ac4acad:0xadb2e60240dbc38b?sa=X&ved=1t:242&ictx=111) (it's literally just on the south side of the Conservatory). Be sure this is where your GPS is taking you when you use it, as the Brewing Company has a taproom on Harrison Avenue that is *not* what you want for this event.
We should be at the Beer Hall by 1 if you can't make the Conservatory and just want to join us for drinks.
