I'm launching a social project to connect people so we can grow together! ✨ The main idea: We meet in cozy spots with tasty food (different ones each time) to discuss interesting topics in English. Discussion topics: • Psychology • Philosophy • Relationships • Biology • History • Sociology • Science • Technology • Politics • Business • Finance 🗺️ How the meetups work: Stage 1. The Gathering. Usually at 5:00 PM in a park or city center. Stage 2. The Move. We walk together to a chosen cafe or restaurant. Stage 3. The Discussion. We pick a topic to kickstart the conversation. Stage 4. The Wrap-up. Around 8:00 PM, we start winding down and heading home. Please join Columbus Tea Lovers for a tasting of loose leaf teas at a private residence in Worthington. (The address will be sent out via private Meetup message a day ahead to those who have RSVP'd.) June 20th is the Worthington Arts Festival so feel free to attend that event which is down the street in addition to the tea party. For this tasting please bring a tea or tisane (an herbal brew that contains no tea leaves) does not come in a prepackaged tea bag. You can feel free to bring it pre-brewed in a carafe or thermos; please leave out the milk and sweetener as we will have some on hand to mix and match. We will have the kettle on and fillable single serve disposable tea bags if you would like to bring the tea leaves unbrewed and extra tea cups on hand as well. We welcome you to bring snacks or desserts that are you enjoy pairing with tea. You can bring a chair if the day is nice in case we sit outside. There is a cat in the house, so be aware in case of allergies. If you want to write in the chat what you plan to bring so we don't have a lot of the same thing, please do so!

We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
