Coming Out Group for Lesbian and Bisexual Women
Coming Out Group for Lesbian and Bisexual Women
We're hosting our regular peer support group for lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, queer and questioning women. We look forward to welcoming you if you can make it. Our attendees are a diverse mix of women and are friendly, non-judgmental and inclusive of new people. During the session we talk over topics by sharing our own experience. We cover any topics our attendees would like to raise (we write them down anonymously at the start of the session) they might be things like "how do I find queer friends?" , "managing the holiday season with an unsupportive family", "coming out at work", "bi invisibility" , "internalised homophobia" , "lgbt book recommendations?", "any dating app recommendations?". The session is facilitated by volunteers from the charity London Friend. Our group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 7pm to 9pm. We're aware it can sometimes be intimidating to join a group like this for the first time, so please reach out to our friendly volunteers if you'd like more information. We can be contacted via Meetup or by emailing changes@londonfriend.org.uk. If you'd like to join and listen without participating further that's ok too. MeetUp is one of the many platforms where people can find this event, and so the number of meetup RSVP's doesn't match the actual number of attendees. If you'd like to join without RSVPing on Meetup you can simply turn up 7pm at the London Friend location.

Forest Gayte Pride 2026
Forest Gayte Pride 2026
Forest Gayte Pride is a grassroots Pride in Newham, with stalls, entertainment, speakers, and other events from Friday to Sunday (but no parade). Its grown from 1 market stall & queer pub night in 2017, then a 2019 parade; though the primary aim is still giving a voice to LGBTQIA+ Newham residents; events and education, a platform for the community to express themselves in a safer, inclusive space, during pride and beyond; and educating the local community on queer issues. The previous organisers stepped down so a new committee will be running it for this 9th year. We don't yet have a stall on the main Saturday, but if you can help host one during the day do tell us and maybe it's not too late. We've had stickers, badges, and info sheets/leaflets; and badges, flags, books/booklets there in past years. The regular Saturday Market continues as normal around the Pride stalls. ⚫ Events Overview: FG Pride are working with their favourite local venues and some of East London’s most influential Queers to bring a celebration of LGBTQIA+ Culture to Newham once more. Check the website for latest updates. There are also fundraising events in the run up, see their [Eventbrite events list](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/forest-gayte-pride-33691105349#events) for all details. (a map and list for Saturday's events at [forestgaytepride.com/virtualmap](https://forestgaytepride.com/virtualmap)) Details are sparse yet, but there is usually a Gala opening event on Friday, stalls and music/speeches on Saturday, some quieter events/pub hanging out on Sunday. Saturday, 11am-4pm: Community Hub (stalls) + Entertainment, speakers all day (and a DJ in between speeches) — Woodgrange Market Place, on the A114 road. The Community Gardens will be open if you need a space away from the bustle for a while. \- Main Evening Event at ???? til late \- Sunday afternoon at ???? \- Sunday Evening at ???? ⚫ Help Out: Can you volunteer to help make a stall happen on the Saturday? An hour or two or more? Especially early afternoon (lunchtime) when its busiest, or 10.15-11am/near 4pm to setup and pack up at the start and end? You would meet a load of people, conversation ice-breakers ready to go; hang out with other bi/lgbt organisers+activists with experience, help our community. There'd be a seat. I can offer a badge/flag/similar from the stall as thanks depending on your support. If you can only afford to volunteer if paid travel expenses, I can help with that from elsewhere in/near London (please check with us in advance if not via TfL services). They also need volunteer help for the whole festival (setup starts from 8am on Saturday but doesn't have to be then, Fri/Sun also wanted) — and maybe make new LGBTQ+ friends in the area too: via this form [https://forestgaytepride.com/volunteer-](https://forestgaytepride.com/volunteer-) ⚫ Accessibility: • Woodgrange Market (for the Hub): recently refurbished, fully wheelchair accessible (https://www.facebook.com/woodgrangemkte7/). • [Forest Gate Station](https://tfl.gov.uk/tflrail/stop/910GFRSTGT/forest-gate-rail-station?lineId=tfl-rail): across the road from the Hub. Renovated as part of TfL/Queen Elizabeth Line updates to include a lift and fully accessible trains • No bar at the Marketplace itself (though not a designated Sober space) • Nearest Quiet Zone: 200 yards away at the Community Garden • Forest Gayte Pride pledged for **all of their events to be fully accessible**, including the Hub (ask if more questions) ⚫ More Info: Updates / Details, Website, Social media: [forestgaytepride.com](https://forestgaytepride.com/) Twitter: [@fgpride](https://twitter.com/fgpride) Instagram: [@forestgaytepride](https://instagram.com/forestgaytepride) All profits go to Forest Gayte Pride CIC non-profit to fund the Pride and work throughout the year. Soulbits Circle: A Monthly Gathering

Each session opens with a Soulbits oracle image setting the tone for the gathering we will move through. We will come together to honor the natural rhythms of rooting, rising, releasing, and receiving; the cycles that shape the soul’s journey. Through the four pillars of being: mindset, movement, connection & nourishment, we will create a space where imagery, sensation, and community weave together. Where the body becomes the guide, images act as mirrors, and the soul speaks. This circle is about noticing what rises, honoring what’s true, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself ready to be seen. This is a space to gather your scattered pieces, soften your body, and return to your truth with community by your side. Soulbits Circle is a reminder that every fragment of your story, every soulbit, belongs. Together we weave them into the blooming wholeness that you are. *Energy Exchange: 1-group $20-40 or 6-group $115* *Payment Options: Venmo or Cash* **Please RSVP to [Caitlynn](https://kalikwellnesswithin.org/) via** **email @ [kalik.wellnesswithin@gmail.com](mailto:kalik.wellnesswithin@gmail.com)** **text @ ‪(614) 407-4021‬** 💫
