Weekly Wednesday Ball Hockey League
Our weekly co-ed ball hockey league plays every Wednesday from roughly 7:00-11:00pm, year-round, (with the exception of a few rare holidays) at the newly renovated Rockville Sports Arena. Whether you're brand new to ball hockey or have experience playing either ball hockey or ice hockey at higher level leagues/tournaments, we're confident you'll find a level of play that fits what you're looking for. Come check us out one Wednesday (we frequently have sub opportunities) or let us know if you want to join our next season!
Ball hockey, sometimes referred to as street hockey or dek hockey, is rapidly growing in popularity. It plays very similarly to ice hockey, but with less equipment and a lower cost!

**Court Type:** Outdoor Grass
**Level:** B/BB/A
**Transportation:** Parking will be right by the grass.
**What to bring:** at least 3 bottles of water and a ball if you have one.
**Host's Philosophy on this event:**
The purpose of this meetup is to create a fun and supportive environment where we can improve our skills, enjoy competitive games, and connect socially. While we do aim to play seriously and challenge ourselves, the focus is more on growth and enjoyment than simply winning at all costs. That’s why the title doesn’t include “competitive” or “social”—we want a healthy mix of both. This is a space where you won’t be judged for making mistakes, but we do expect a mindset geared toward learning and getting better over time. That said, this group isn’t intended for total beginners; a basic understanding of the game is expected so that everyone can contribute to meaningful and engaging matches. The host holds the right to remove you from the game if they believe that you are at a C level.
**Skill Level:**

**ATTENDANCE:**
**Player Selection:** Regulars > League Members > Your Vibe > Skills > \*Your Attendance Ratio > New Members
\* If you have 3 events attended and 6 events you dropped off, you may or may not be invited. Anyone with a drop-off level of -.50 or lower.
The host takes attendance very seriously. Please remove yourself from the event (if you can't make it) as early as possible to allow others to join. You will be marked as a ***no-show*** if you don't show up to the event.
1 no-show means you will be removed from the group. See all rules below.

6\. Sunscreen \(summer\)

House Rules -
1. Starting Play: Each point begins with both teams lining up on the front of opposite end zone lines. The defense throws ("pulls") the disc to the offense.
2. Scoring: Each time the offense catches a pass in the defense's end zone, the offense scores a point. The teams switch direction after every goal, and the next point begins with a new pull by the team that just scored.
3. Movement of the Disc: The disc may be advanced in any direction by completing a pass to a teammate. Players may not run with the disc. The person with the disc ("thrower") has ten seconds to throw the disc. The defender guarding the thrower ("marker") counts out the stall count.
4. Change of Possession: When a pass is not completed (e.g. out of bounds, drop, block, interception, stalled), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense.
5. Substitutions: Players not in the game may replace players in the game after a score and during an injury timeout. (Modified depending on the number of the attendees)
6. Non-contact: Players must attempt to avoid physical contact during play. Picks and screens are also prohibited.
7. Fouls: When a player initiates contact that affects the play, a foul occurs. When a foul causes a player to lose possession, the play resumes as if the possession was retained. If the player that the foul was called against disagrees with the foul call, the play is redone.
8. Self-Officiating: Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls. The host will also step in if it is needed.
Please message the event host for any questions or concerns.

Holiday Mini-Golf/Fursuiting at Monster!
Halloween in December? Why not! Come celebrate whatever winter holidays you wish in only the *most* festive manner - with fursuits, spooky theming, golf, and laser tag! We will once again be descending upon Monster Mini Golf in Chantilly for an evening of games, costuming, and great company! Sound like a good time?
We have TWO party rooms reserved for our group at 7 PM, and every attendee will be able to partake in one game consisting of 18 holes of glow-in-the-dark mini golf, alive with animated monsters, music, and lots of audio and visual effects! But wait, that's not all! Every attendee will also receive one round of laser tag and $5 in arcade credits. And the best part - this event is **FURSUIT-FRIENDLY**!
Monster has generously granted our group permission to wear fursuits on the premises during this event. If you are fursuiting, please be sure to abide by the following rules:
1. Be courteous and respectful to other Monster Mini Golf guests and staff members. If a staff member asks you to remove your head at any time, please do so.
2. Do your best to NOT act as representatives of Monster Mini Golf. The store made this very clear in our conversation with them, as they have had issues with this in the past. Try to stick with the group, do not harass other guests, and do not stand and linger in doorways, hallways, etc. in a way that can be misconstrued as acting as a "greeter".
3. If other guests ask for pictures or willingly interact with you, that's perfectly fine! Let's spread the furry love around as much as we can! Just please keep #2 in mind in all such interactions. It's also okay to politely say NO if you're uncomfortable.
There will be a $15 cover fee for every attendee! This will go to help cover the cost of the room and game reservations, and will grant you full access to the entire event. I'll be paying for the entire group package, so payments can be directed to me via any of the below platforms. You can either pay up front or at the event, whichever you prefer. Please note your Meetup name in your payment so I can keep track of who has and hasn't paid!
***Venmo***: @bbecraft
***Zelle***: 703-801-5572
***PayPal***: darkw1ng00@gmail.com (I made it when I was a child, HUSH)
***Cash App***: $VelvetFoxxo
Cash at the door on the day of the event is also acceptable!!
**\*\*\*If you've already paid and end up unable to make it, just message me and I'll refund you immediately!!**
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Powell Gold Star Referral Club Meetup
We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot. Bring plenty of cards!
