ThoughtstormÂŽ Session Topic: International Day of Education, Yarraville
Would you like to enhance your creativity, confidence and increase your awareness? Weâd love you to join us to ThoughtstormÂŽ the topic International Day of Education in the warm, friendly environment of the Yarraville Community Centre.
How Thoughtstorm came about
Thoughtstorm is a technique developed from a seed of speculation: are there more effective (rational, cooperative, compassionate) ways of thinking? Methods whose long-term consequences will not lead to oblivion. This is the genesis of Thoughtstorm.
What is it?
For anyone with an interest in leadership, deeper conversations or creative problem solving, something much more than a group discussion occurs. What is experienced in Thoughtstorm is a forgotten sensory ability - mind-linking. An evolution in human thinking and learning.
The direction moves from a narrow range of possibility into discovering corecepts, when individual minds merge into a much more powerful collective awareness and experience a deeper, more compassionate comprehension of reality. Corecepts trigger intuitive recognition and agreement by the group, a âWhy, of course!â reaction.
New insights guaranteed!
Because this process taps into abilities already present in the human mind and into aggregates of consciousness straining to express themselves, very little practice is required.
Would you like to see and understand things in a way that is new for all of us? Would you like to develop your consciousness and your creative intelligence? Would you like to be inspired to create positive change?
Then come and join us to Thoughtstorm together.
If itâs your first time to Thoughtstorm, please RSVP early to give plenty of time to arrange a brief prep call on Zoom to go over the Thoughtstorm procedures so we can all get started on time together.
**Agenda:**
6.30pm - Arrive, meet and greet, read over Thoughtstorm instructions
6.45pm - Begin the Thoughtstorm
7.45pm - Finish
When you RSVP we will be in touch with the details.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Learn coding basics (even if you've never coded before)
Hi all!
We are looking to build a community here, so if you interest is just to get into coding, please come along and we can help out - all levels and interests are more than welcome.
All levels of coding are welcome! We can continue doing some basic coding using HTML, CSS, and maybe some JS if we are feeling up to it (I'll teach if people are interested). Usually there will be some people around to help anyone with issues.
We are also holding these sessions for anyone to come along and ask questions about the course. We know it's a big decision and a lot of money, and we are keen to give you as much information as you need to make the right call.
https://liskov.dev
We are offering some more structured content for anyone interested:
### CV advice
Are you currently applying for jobs? Come along to get some advice on:
* Resume
* Cover letters
* Portfolio
* Code challenges
* Interviews
### Build and deploy your first webpage I
What is HTML and how does it work? In this session weâll:
* Install a code editor
* Generate an HTML document
* Learn how the browser understands markup
* Add some content and styling
* Deploy your basic webpage to the world!
(Deploy is via drag and drop to Netlify)
### Build and deploy your first webpage II
Coming in future weeks.
Depends on the progress we make.
### Bootcamp info session
Thinking about doing Liskov bootcamp? Come along to meet Matt and get all your questions answered.
### Q and A with a former student
Meet a former student now working as a developer. Ask them anything! If we get a few starters we'll get a few ex-students along for a chat.
### Types of career paths/jobs in the IT industry
For people who are thinking of changing careers or moving to an adjacent/related role in IT. Apparently there are event people who use UX design as a stepping stone to a programming career (seems like a long and windy road though).
These will occur at least once a fortnight, so if you miss one you can get to the next one - the schedule will be updated on the site, and here.
Here's a list of some of the activities that we could play around with if there are a few people there (will depending on timing and attendance):
* Basics of getting into coding (Beginners HTML, CSS, JS)
* Coding in [Rooms.xyz](http://rooms.xyz/)
* Q and A
* BYO issues (we solve their problems if we can)
* Build a webpage in quick time
* Notion tutorial
* SpaceTeam
* What are the jobs and industries that these courses lead to (with examples)?
Come and have a chat!
The Liskov Team

Simple AI: From Curious to Confident - A Live Visual Guide to ChatGPTâs Features
**Most people use ChatGPT like a search engine, but itâs actually more like a skilled assistant waiting for clear instructions.**
If youâve ever felt overwhelmed by that blinking cursor in an empty chat box, or wondered what all those new buttons and settings actually do, this session is for you.
Weâve all heard the AI hype, but few are using it to actually make their daily lives easier. In fact, most people are only using about 10% of what ChatGPT can truly do. Itâs time to move beyond the "search box" mentality and start treating AI like the powerful partner it is.
For our second January catch-up, Iâm taking the training wheels off. At **Aiven Australia (AI Ventures)**, we believe technology should be straightforward and practical. Thatâs why there will be **no "tech-bro" talk.** Instead, Iâll be sharing my screen to show you exactly how I navigate the 2026 interface to save hours every week.
Weâll move from curious to confident by looking at the brand-new **"Go" tier** that just launched in Australia this week, showing you how to get the results you need the first time.
We won't be talking about complex theories, we will be looking at how to navigate the 2026 interface to make your daily life and work simpler. This is your step-by-step guide to making ChatGPT your most practical everyday tool.
**What we will explore together:**
* **A Guided Interface Tour:** A visual map of the settings and features that matter most in 2026.
* **Commanding the Tool:** How to use the built-in options to get reliable results the first time.
* **Practical Workflows:** Real-world examples of using AI for planning, drafting, and organizing.
* **Live Q&A:** Your chance to ask "How do I do this?" in a relaxed environment.
**The Takeaway:** To help you put this into practice, everyone who joins the live session will receive the **Aiven Simple AI: ChatGPT Essentials Cheat Sheet**, a one-page PDF guide designed to be your permanent reference.
**Logistics:**
