Learn programming with Python, Java, Javascript, C(++) or ...
Dies ist ein informelles Treffen für Lernende, die ihre ersten Schritte in der Programmierung machen oder ihre Grundkenntnisse vertiefen möchten.
***
This is an informal meetup, for learners that want to do their first steps in programming or want to consolidate their skills.
We spend one hour and a half working on tutorials, exercises or projects. If you need help to get started, we will help you finding a good way for learning.
You should be prepared to spend your time "doing things": just hanging around and listening might get boring, if all other people are learning on their side.
There are experienced people are around and you can ask questions as soon as their arise or bring with you questions you have had during the week.
During the last half an hour, we do a (simple) exercise together.
We speak German, English, and a few other languages.
Currently, how main programming languages are:
* Python
* Javascript
* Java
* Flutter
* C++
* C
* C#
* PHP
But you're free to learn any programming language during our Co-Learning!
If you want to learn more about our Co-Learning, please have a look at our website (no frequent updates...):

[Potluck Dinner] Islamic Philosophy and Contemporary Readings
***Update (2026/2/9):***
***Please not that the event's description and topic has been updated. We will still meet over potluck dinner, but we have decided to host the book discussion as a separate event in March.***
Dear all,
Join us for a social gathering coinciding with the special month of Ramadan. We're coming together for a potluck dinner (Iftar): each person brings food that we'll all share together. And of course, Muslims as well as non-Muslims are equally welcome.
We will meet at the GZ Höngg community center. The description will soon be updated to include the total cost for reserving the venue, which we'll split across everyone attending.
We look forward to seeing you. Please reach out to any of the organizers if you have any questions.

Game of Tones - A playful writing adventure!
✍️ What if writing became a game?
Join us for a relaxed ‘’Ink & Drink’’ evening where we play with the English language over a drink, exploring wordplay, sound, rhythm, and meaning in a fun and creative way, surrounded by books.
Do these ring a bell?
➡️ _A man, a plan, a canal: Panama.
Do geese see God?
Was it a car or a cat I saw?
No lemon, no melon._
These are palindromes - phrases that read the same forwards and backwards, and they're just one of the playful tools we'll explore together.
This session is designed as a hands-on, playful writing lab, accessible to all levels.
We'll start with light icebreaker games mixing words and drawings, such as:
* collaborative writing games (exquisite corpse-style)
* riddles, rebuses, and simple word puzzles
Then, you'll be invited to create your own short texts using:
* palindromes
* puns and wordplay
* anagrams and sound-based games
* playful constraints that spark creativity.
If you prefer drawing, you're also welcome to create rebuses or visual word puzzles instead of writing.
Sharing at the end is always optional.
What to expect:
* No prior writing experience needed.
* Materials will be provided
* Please plan to order at least one drink, as a courtesy to the venue hosting us.
Come play with language, stretch your imagination, and enjoy a creative evening together in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Looking forward to playing with words together! ✨

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!
Queer Quills
**We are expanding our creative programming opportunities with Queer Quills, a quiet writing and sharing space. Queer Quills features some prompts, supplies and friendly faces to help get some inspiration or feedback for your writing. Hope to see you there!**
