Group Walk: Hallerbos!
Group Walk: Hallerbos!
This is a very special group walk! If you haven't visited the forest outside of the town Halle in the spring, then we highly recommend joining or going on your own time. During the spring, the Hallerbos is blooming with beautiful hyacinths covering the forest floor. You can get a sneak peak [here](https://www.hallerbos.be/). Over the years this has turned into quite the tourist attraction, which is why we decided to plan the walk during the week. Another special aspect of this group walk is that we will have a "guide" that not only grew up in this area, but is also in charge of expat services at the tourism department of Flemish Brabant. Nona will give some extra insight into the area and guide us through the first. **Meeting point**: Leuven train station \- We will take the train from Leuven to Halle\. Departure \(normally from platform B\) at 11:41 arrival 12:52\. We will meet outside of the Madmum on the station square at \(no later than\!\) 11:30 and walk to the platform together\. \- From the train station in Halle we will take a bus to the forest\. Please note that this walk is subject to the blooming of the flowers and the weather. If the flowers haven't bloomed yet, then we will cancel the walk. We did the best at estimating the time the flowers will bloom, since every year it is different. You are responsible to get your own train and bus ticket, and we will handle the guiding part :) Make sure to wear good walking shoes and bring water and maybe a snack! We will walk maximum 8km, on walking paths through the forest.

Jewellery being my main interest, I especially liked bead weaving. This passion has always been with me. Since I have been living in Belgium, the African style fascinates me as much as the Hungarian folk style. With my work, which manifests itself under the brand name Tulipane Design, I would like to offer a delicate mixture of Eastern Europe and Africa. The designs are created and woven bead by bead. It is a work of patience and a kind of meditation: the beads take time to be woven. Through my childhood trauma with an abusive father, I realised that creating is a crucial activity to find my balance and well-being and I think I am not alone with this. That's why my goal is not only to share my creations with other women but also to contribute to a social impact. Tulipane Design contributes with 1€/jewel sold to the Domestic Violence Centre in Belgium.’ More information about Tulipane Design: Instagram or Facebook @tulipanedesign or at https://www.tulipanedesign.eu/

Creative Mapping.0 - Navigating your own dynamic
Creative Mapping.0 - Navigating your own dynamic
## **Creative Mapping.0** **Navigate Your Own Dynamic** Creative Mapping.0 is a facilitated workshop designed to help you work through complexity, clarify direction, and develop ideas in a structured but flexible way. Using a visual mapping process, we externalise thoughts, experiences, and influences — building an overview of your current situation and exploring how it can shift. Rather than simplifying things too quickly, this approach allows you to work with complexity: testing perspectives, identifying patterns, and exploring possible directions. ### **In this session you will:** – map your current situation – explore position, perspective and perception – identify connections and emerging patterns – test possible directions – define a scenario to work with and next steps to take forward ### **You will leave with:** – a visual map of your current situation – a clearer sense of what is shaping it – a scenario to work through – practical next steps ### **Format** – guided exercises and discussion – part 1: reflective note-making and visualisation tools – part 2: navigation techniques, test case and group discussion – materials included – small group (6–10 people) **Facilitated by David Poole** Language: English **Places can be booked through** [EventBrite](https://www.eventbrite.be/e/1987190256551?aff=oddtdtcreator)

A MAFN / NOVA Scribes Visual Facilitation / Graphic Recording Open House!
A MAFN / NOVA Scribes Visual Facilitation / Graphic Recording Open House!
What does it look like when ideas come to life, in real time, on the wall? Join NOVA Scribes for a full-day, in-person open house where the public is invited to step inside the world of graphic recording and visual facilitation. This is a come-and-go experience designed for curiosity, exploration, and conversation. Whether you are new to visual thinking or already working with images and groups, you are welcome. The space will be set up as a "theater in the round," (see the image) with visual practitioners working live around the room. Throughout the day, you will see different techniques, styles, and modalities demonstrated in real time, from large-scale graphic recording to visual templates, facilitation tools, and decision-support visuals. You can observe, ask questions, and engage directly with the practitioners as the work unfolds. **What you can expect** * Live demonstrations of graphic recording and visual facilitation techniques * Multiple practitioners working simultaneously, each with their own approach and style * Short, informal demos and tiny teaches that explain how and why specific techniques are used * Opportunities to talk one-on-one with experienced graphic recorders and visual facilitators * A chance to see how visuals support sensemaking, alignment, and group dialogue **What you might explore** * Graphic recording for meetings, conferences, and retreats * Visual templates for planning, strategy, and reflection * Visual facilitation methods that support participation and decision making * Tools, materials, and setup considerations for live visual work * Different visual languages, from icons and lettering to layout and structure This open house is designed to be accessible, hands-on, and inspiring. You do not need to stay all day. Come for 20 minutes or stay for hours. Watch ideas take shape. Notice how visuals change the energy in the room. Ask the questions you have always wanted to ask. If you have ever been curious about how visual facilitation works, or how graphic recording supports groups, this is your chance to experience it up close. **Open to the general public. No prior experience required.** We’re not charging for this workshop, but we will be asking for donations! Donations cover the costs of hosting events on Meetup, to honorariums for new graphic recorders, and scholarships. Please be sure you are registered on Meetup! If you're not registered on Meetup, you will not be admitted.
