Jewellers can hire a desk in our workshop to make or finish off their own pieces. This workshop is self run, you need to attend a health and safety induction before working daily unattended. Basic jewellery making tools are provided and some consumables such as flux, borax, tumbling polish, lathe polish and some drill bits. Once again, I'm putting out the feelers for anyone interested in a week or two of absolutely huge adventures in Australia's most rugged and diverse state: Tasmania. Connor Mackenzie on "Beowulf" (17), a classic sea cliff traverse in Freycinet National Park. (Alex Holroyd on belay) ___________________________________________________________________________________ For this trip, you must be at minimum a sport leader, and it is highly recommended that you are a trained trad leader with the club. Whilst there is a LOT of sport in Tassie, the real bread and butter is in the amazing trad lines, and it would be hard to centre a trip around purely sport climbing. Do not worry at all if you are not leading above a certain grade, Tassie has something for all! The plan is to have a week or two to explore what the island has to offer. Bring some cars down on the boat, share the costs between us. For this event, we’ll help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents, wash dishes and clean surfaces at Fath Mission – Grant Kitchen. We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. Our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:15am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
