If you've got soul and love to sing, join us on Thursday 14th May at 6pm. No audition needed! The wonderful Monique Boggia leads us, helping us bring songs to life like I Second That Emotion, Son of a Preacher Man, Ain't No Mountain High Enough and Tracks of My Tears. We meet above the bar at **FAD Gallery,** 14 Corrs Lane, Melbourne. (Corrs Lane is in Chinatown, off Little Bourke Street). Grab a drink before we start and take it upstairs. After we sing, we love to be social and always have a drink and a chat in the bar. There's no need to commit to every week in this 10 week term. You can pay **$20** per session or pay in advance for the whole term: **$100**. This is a shared journey into healing sound, where we relax, connect, and create something beautiful together💫 **1\. Guided Sound Bath \+ Gentle Movement** We’ll begin with a calm, immersive sound bath using healing instruments to help you settle in, slow down, and tune into the space. **2\. Healing Instrument Exploration** You’ll have time to try Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, handpan, and chimes, exploring their sounds and vibrations in your own way. No pressure, just curiosity. **3\. Group Sound Creation** We’ll come together to create a shared “healing piece,” layering sounds and building an immersive sound bath as a group. **4\. Recording the Sound** We’ll record what we create so you can take it home and use it later for sleep, relaxation, focus, or winding down at the end of the day. **Where we meet:** We’ll meet at my studio in Richmond, located in a residential building just off Burnley Street. When you arrive, head up the stairs to **Level 1**. The studio is in **Unit 7**. **How to get here:** 5 minutes walk from tram 48/75, 10 minutes walk from tram 70 and Burnley Station. **Come Sing With the Fairfax Jubil-Aires!** Do you enjoy singing along to your favorite songs? Curious what it’s like to sing rich four-part harmony with a friendly group? Come visit the weekly rehearsal of the Fairfax Jubil-Aires and see what barbershop singing is all about! The Fairfax Jubil-Aires are a welcoming mixed a cappella chorus that performs classic and contemporary barbershop harmony. Our members come from all kinds of musical backgrounds—some have years of experience, while others simply love to sing. What we all share is a passion for music, laughter, and community. Visitors are always welcome at our weekly rehearsals. You can sit back and observe, or jump right in and sing with us—no pressure either way. You're walking onto the field at a Washington Nationals game on June 14th to sing the Star-Spangled Banner with about 50 other guys. Interested? We rehearse every Monday night in DC. Doesn't matter if you've sung your whole life or haven't sung since high school. Doesn't matter if you've been told you're tone deaf. Show up Monday and surprise yourself. Here's what to expect when you walk in: * A warm welcome and a name tag. You'll know somebody within five minutes. * Free voice coaching from me. Breath, tone, range, the stuff that makes you sound better fast. * We'll teach you the anthem in four-part harmony. You'll be standing next to a guy who's been doing this for years. He's got you. * We sing other songs too. The chorus has a full repertoire and you're welcome to stay for all of it.
