**Ed and Gail's Tuesday Night Dance for Everyone** Note change in lesson format! Very basic, very beginner Rumba lesson at 7:00 Tuesday night, January 20! Because we've heard from people who want to sample several different ballroom dances, we've decided to offer a half hour beginner lesson in a different dance each Tuesday. And for those who want another West Coast Swing move, we'll have a half hour easy West Coast Swing lesson at 7:30. Our orientation of Yoga is Inner (Antar) Yoga. Most every day I post several videos that help to understand how to practice Inner Yoga. They may be posted in the morning by 9:00am, or some other time during the day. These are archived videos, but I announce them through Meetup because it is a convenient way to announce reminders. NO PUBLIC MEDITATIONS: The physical ashram in Florida is permanently closed, and there are no public meditations. I am in the process of retiring from ashram management, and now living a quiet life of meditation, residing in Virginia. SHRAMA: The root of the word "ashram" is "shrama" which means effort of striving in practices ("abhyasa") of meditation and contemplation. The ideal ashram is ones own home. We each practice in our own home, turning our home into our ideal ashram. MEDITATION TIMES: Two of my personal meditation times are Noon and 6pm. If you want to feel a sense of meditation together, sit in your own home at this time. It may help with self-discipline. ONLINE VIDEOS: Most days I post archived videos in the Abhyasa Ashram Satsang group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/AbhyasaAshramSatsang/) page on Facebook. COURSES: We have several online courses, all of which are related to mediation. While they all work together, the Basic Meditation would be a good place to start if you are new to meditation. Come out to the Reston Community Center and play some games! Party games? Strategy games? Tabletop role-playing games? This massive space can accommodate games for every interest. While the event starts at 5pm, feel free to roll in whenever you are able! If you have games to bring that you'd like to share or run, please do! Food and drink are not provided within the venue, but you are allowed to bring in anything you need from outside locations, just please be considerate of other people's games and the tables when doing so. Park anywhere in the parking lot. The Community Center building is located directly behind Ledo Pizza. Walk straight back to the main room once you enter the building. Proceeds benefit Loudoun Hunger Relief. Gregory said there will be a line, so get there early! Something's Brewing will be hitting the stage 4-7pm to support our great friends at Lost Rhino for their annual Chili Cookoff! Join us inside and warm up with some tasty tunes and tasty brews and tasty chili! Chili Tasting tickets are $10 each at the door and can be paid via cash or our POS system for credit card. Tasters will use a ticket to vote for their favorite chili. This year, ALL Tasting Ticket sales will be donated to Loudoun Hunger Relief! Lost Rhino will be collecting non-perishable food donations for Loudoun Hunger Relief during the event.

This is a great class for beginner to intermediate players looking to get into bluegrass. Students will learn the basic chords and melody of one or 2 classic Bluegrass songs and how to approach playing them in a jam setting. Over the course of about an hour the class will play the tunes several times as a group exploring different possibilities for kickoffs, solos, endings and more. At the end of the class we open up the jam! Justin plays guitar and banjo with Cherry Blossom Special and runs jam sessions along and runs jam sessions along with mandolinist Nick Cameron and fiddler Mari Carlson. He has been teaching guitar, banjo and mandolin in Takoma Park since 2012. This class was designed to give people an affordable entry point to Bluegrass music, and help grow the community.
