Friday evenings at the British Museum are an occasion for a wide range of events, including lectures, discussions, film screenings, special music and dance performances, many of which are related to current exhibitions. Friday night Brazilian zouk dance class followed by socialising, drinks and practice dance. A fun dance class 7.30-9 pm where you'll meet lots of first-time dancers and get to know everyone before dancing the night away and socialising. There is a discount for the beginner's class! No experience is required, and you don't need to bring a partner, as partners change regularly to enable everyone to get to know each other. Most people come by themselves and make new friends! After the class, the club night goes on till midnight with DJs and a bar. The venue is hired out exclusively for the people who come for dance classes and practice. The cost is usually £15 but if you're on the guestlist for meetup it's only £10 for the whole evening. Make sure your name is on the guest list!

**A fresh take on dating for straight and LGBTQIA+ singles in their 30s, 40s and 50s, brought to you by LoMAZ. I am excited to announce the launch of a series of healthy Persian cooking classes with Zohal. With her background as a street-food trader, she has developed a deep passion for sharing the joy of food. We will be hosting accessible yet delicious cooking workshops in her kitchen. During the class, participants will have the opportunity to cook alongside her and share tips. At the end of the session, guests will be served a delicious meal with tea and refreshments, allowing everyone to relax and socialise. Dish 1: Mirza Ghasemi is a delicious dish made primarily with eggplants, tomatoes, and eggs. Dish 2: Sabzi Ghormeh, a traditional Persian herb stew with 500g of lamb or beef.
