We live busy lives in busy times. Anxiety, depression and discontent are on the increase. There are no quick fixes for our modern woes. We are born and we die but in between can be glorious – this is the way of Zen. Zen is a way of life that is extremely practical and applicable to our contemporary concerns. It is not a religion, nor a dogma. It is a path made by walking on it. Alongside Hellenistic and Western concepts, erudite and entertaining Peter Lim, shall discuss the elements of Chinese philosophy, of Confucianism, Taoism and Zen that contribute to living a happy life as well as explore some of the impediments we often encounter along the way. ‘Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Peter Lim, Dr Lim Meng Sing, is the author of many books: The Gentle Art of Tao Leadership, The Art of Purposeful Living: A Taoist Guide for the Modern Age, The Heart has its Reasons: Poems on Love and Life, and his memoir; Growing Up in British Malaya. As scholar, philosopher, poet and singer Peter believes the spiritual faculty is the highest faculty we humans have and as a humble Humanist, he has been deeply devoted to a life of purpose and integrity for over 45 years. Are you looking for something different, if so, I would like to invite you to come on a healing journey to discover peace and harmony within yourself and life. If this is of interest to you, the first class is free, as it's an introduction to the explorations of mindfulness/meditation with a spiritual flavour. If you choose to return (no obligation), then a small amount is asked of $5 per class. What a wonderful opportunity to explore your physical, emotional, mental and soul bodies and how they are all inter-related and all can be greatly affected with the stresses and challenges of everyday life. Through engaging with an energetic hygiene process that I facilitate, you will be able to cleanse your energy field on a daily basis. With the event/class there is a variety being presented each week, always a guided meditation, followed by either reflection on self-care through working with a variety of gentle approach resources (which will be given to you to take, if you choose), as well as, listening to different short mindfulness cds. All you need to bring is yourself and a crystal, if you like.

Thank you for your understanding! If you are brand new to aerial yoga this workshop is the start of your journey! We will introduce you to using the aerial hammock as a yoga prop. Students will learn the basics of aerial yoga; including terminology, wrist wraps, hammock placement, inversions, and safety practices. We will also help you understand the difference between the various aerial yoga class offerings. Leaving you feeling confident and ready for classes on our weekly schedule. Kit supplies last for 4-6 months. According to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, hair and skin reflects our internal balance. We will explore how environment, lifestyle and nutritional factors cause common hair disorders. Amita will teach you the ancient secrets for correcting the most common imbalances. You will gain an understanding of Ayurvedic remedies for hair thinning, hair balding, premature greying, scalp psoriasis and dandruff. We’ll begin with gentle, standing mindful movement, an opportunity to release tension and ease into a slower, more grounded pace. From there, you’ll experience a taste of forest therapy, inviting you to awaken your senses and reconnect with the natural world. Through simple invitations, you’ll have space to notice, wander, and reconnect with the land, yourself, and the present moment. We’ll then transition into rest, settling into a lounge chair, gently swaying in a hammock, or lying directly on the earth. Gazing up into the forest canopy, you may notice your body softening as the tones and vibrations of the instruments move through you, blending with the natural woodland soundscape. 😌 **Meeting Point:** We will meet in Lucketts, Virginia; the specific address will be provided once you register. Meet in the parking area at 11:50 pm.
