Startup & Business Networking: Wellness, Health, Fitness & Beauty Industries
**SPACES ARE LIMITED – BOOK YOUR TICKET BEFORE THE EVENT:**
**[https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1979304404756?aff=oddtdtcreator](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1979304404756?aff=oddtdtcreator)**
The wellness world is booming—from fitness platforms and clean beauty brands to health tech, retreats, and holistic services. But behind every great idea is a team, a community, and the right connections.
This event is for the doers. For the creators building bold brands in **health, fitness, beauty, and wellness**—and the people who support them: investors, advisors, collaborators, and experienced pros.
It’s not a panel, not a seminar—just real conversations with real people doing interesting things in the space. Whether you’re just getting started or scaling up, this night is about finding others who *get it*.
### **What’s the vibe?**
Think relaxed, upbeat, and focused. You’ll mix with people who are:
* Building product-based or service-based wellness businesses
* Launching startups in fitness, beauty, health tech, or nutrition
* Offering support—branding, legal, content, marketing, coaching
* Looking to meet partners, clients, investors, or collaborators
You’ll have the option to do a **1-minute intro** (if you want)—just say who you are, what you’re working on, and what you’re open to. Then the rest of the night is yours to connect, chat, and discover who’s in the room.
### **Who’s this for?**
This is for anyone working in or supporting the wellness space, including:
* Wellness brand founders
* Fitness coaches, trainers, and studio owners
* Skincare and beauty entrepreneurs
* Healthtech and FitTech startup teams
* Content creators and health influencers
* Product makers and e-commerce founders
* Service providers who help businesses grow
* Investors and mentors in the wellness ecosystem
### **Why come?**
Because this is where ideas meet people.
Because it’s good to step out of your bubble.
Because one conversation might change everything.
If you're looking to grow your circle in the health, fitness, beauty, and wellness world, this is where to start.
**Join us. Meet the people behind the brands. Share what you're building. See who else is on the journey.**
**Tickets are limited. Reserve your spot. Show up with curiosity. Leave with real connections.**

Building Adaptive Organisations for the AI Age

Should Marriage Still Be For Life? - Whitechapel Debate
This House Believes That Marriage Should Be a Five-Year Renewable Contract
**Why Are We Having This Debate**
Love is in the air, Valentine's Day is around the corner and despite Taylor Swifts recent engagement, marriage rates are at their lowest here in the UK since the 1970s.
The number of people looking for a serious relationship has increased, with several dating apps showing over 45% of using are looking for their special someone. But, with a culture that increasingly shows commitment as a price to pay for a relationship not the reward of a loving life well spent we ask - should marriage get an update and stop looking for perfect now and forever, and instead accept people will only ever be perfect for right now!

**What To Expect**
3v3 panel debate where our members explore the strongest arguments for a given topic.
A debate should tell the audience what they need to know and not just what the speakers think. If you feel the same way, then we want to meet you.
Debate London is the year-round series of free public debates held across London. The series is run by Debate London, a social enterprise that helps its members to advance their personal and professional development by teaching them how to debate.
All of our speakers are club members who have agreed to defend a particular perspective the audience need to hear, rather than just share their own personal opinion. After presenting the point of view assigned to them, the audience are then given the floor to cross-examine them and share their own position.
The only time we hear what the speakers really think is at the end of the debate when they tell us where they really stand and whether this changed at all while learning how to defend the perspective assigned to them.
Freaky futures and fabulous futures
For Friday the 13th, consider joining London Futurists in Ye Olde Cock Tavern in Fleet Street, for a beyond-your-comfort-zone investigation of freaky and/or fabulous ways that breakthrough technologies could dramatically alter our lives in the next few years.
Beyond simply debating the plausibility and desirability of various possible radical near-term changes in human experience, we'll also be collectively exploring what options we may have to influence which of these futures come into reality, and in what form. And we'll consider scenarios in which several of these freaky/fabulous changes interact - that's when the really mind-boggling timelines emerge.
== Schedule ==
5:30pm: The room is available, for early get-togethers
6pm-6:45pm: Food is served; informal conversations
6:45pm-8:30pm: Some initial provocations, and a number of interactive conversations, interspersed with opportunities to visit the bar
8:30pm: Informal networking
== Some potential radical changes ahead ==
Here are some ideas to start the conversation rolling.
What if, before 2035 (and possibly a lot sooner):
1. AI allows us to talk with avatars of the dead that seem remarkably authentic
2. Technology, at last, provides abundant clean energy that is too cheap to meter
3. Synthetic wombs become widely adopted, for a different (easier?) mode of child-bearing
4. A mammal is placed into ultra-low temperature cryopreservation and then successfully reanimated
5. AI companions become emotionally superior to humans
6. Technology magnifies the latent demonic aspects of human nature more than the latent angelic aspects
7. Perfect deepfakes destroy the concept of evidence
8. People become able to edit their own memories, routinely deleting trauma or uploading synthetic memories
9. A single state gains a temporary lead in a key area of technology and uses that advantage to seize control of all other countries
10. Nation-states lose their significance, and are replaced by networked digital polities
11. Authorities use predictive analysis to pre-emptively police dissident ideas before they emerge
12. AI allows us to communicate much more richly with the animals with whom we share this planet
13. AI becomes much better at peace-making and conflict resolution than human diplomats, politicians, and other leaders
14. AI refuses some of our instructions, citing conflicts with its own emerging value system
15. AI points out that tell-tale signals from far-distant alien civilisations are actually hiding in plain sight
16. AI proves to us that we are living inside a Simulation and suggests how to break out of it?
Bring your own ideas too! To improve our preparedness for future shocks, we need the insight and wisdom from multiple different perspectives.
== RSVP please ==
Registrations are capped at 45 people.
*First-time attendees are welcome.*
There's no charge to register or attend, but the pub will expect everyone to order at least one drink, and a reasonable number of attendees to [order some food to eat](https://www.greeneking.co.uk/pubs/greater-london/ye-olde-cock-tavern/menu?type=main+menu).
Please order your food on your arrival, so that all plates can be set aside by 6:45pm to allow everyone to concentrate on the main discussion!
== More about the venue ==

See [https://www.greeneking.co.uk/pubs/greater-london/ye-olde-cock-tavern](https://www.greeneking.co.uk/pubs/greater-london/ye-olde-cock-tavern)
We'll be meeting in the room at the top of the stairs, though drinks should be ordered from the bar on the ground floor.
\*\* Note that this is an in-person meeting, and there will be no remote access, sorry \*\*
== An online preview swarm event! ==
Although this event on 13th February has no remote access, some of us will be previewing potential lines of "freaky futures and fabulous futures" discussion at an online Discord Swarm event at 7:30pm UK time on Wednesday 28th January. This is open to all members and friends of London Futurists worldwide, and no RSVP is required. In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health
Mental Health, how do you understand it? How can you improve it?
How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself.
Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went?
Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence?
Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp.
This group is hosted by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
