Pet Loss Support Group
This gathering will be a safe place for those who are anticipating, in the midst of, or recovering from companion animal loss. Our beloved companions are considered family and the grief can be overwhelming when each reaches their time to go. Speaking about our beloveds helps validate and honor them; sharing the pain allows us to understand and process. We donāt recover from grief or go through it. We learn to carry it with us, allowing the pain to evolve into memories and ongoing love. We hope to minimize regret or guilt by being our companionsā steward and advocate.
There is no cost or expectation, other than compassion for all without judgment.
The facilitator is a certified Pet Loss Doula (University of Vermont) who has experienced pet loss many times. Send questions to petlossdoula@gmail.com.
Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy the weather! We meet Saturdays at 10am, halfway between the Reston *Container Store* and *Not Your Average Joes* (by the metal benches), leaving no later than 10:05.
Every week, rain or shine, we start by walking along the Green Trail to reach Lake Anne Community Center. Once there, we pause for water/bio (often staying a few minutes extra from April-November, due to the local Farmer's Market), and then we circle Lake Anne and head back to our starting point. It's roughly 3-4 miles and takes about an hour and a half.
Afterwards, some members will often head to *Not Your Average Joes* or another local restaurant for a quick drink/meal before tackling the day.
This event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Dogs are welcome, and we recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll walk rain or shine. Also, feel free to bring a friend!
By signing up, you accept and assume all risks and responsibilities with this activity, and nobody will be held liable.
SENIOR CENTER IN LEESBURG IS CLOSED. MEETING CANCELLED.
Title: Talk/listen about life-changing loss and grief, and care-giving challenges

Participants who attend the āLET'S TALKā group say that the group is a place to:
Feel safe, to talk or to listen, gain understanding of experiences, and foster confidence! Realize that: āI Can do ā¦ā , āGet my equilibrium back.ā
āLETāS TALKā invites participants to come together...so that they might share the feelings, thoughts, questions, challenges and concerns. This activity is facilitated by a professional counselor.
Amphibian and Reptile Monitoring 2026 Season Kickoff
Our local amphibians and reptiles are both susceptible to habitat destruction and pollutants and can often be victims of being misunderstood. Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for an introductory look at our local amphibians and reptiles, what our citizens can do to help protect their habitats, and what related programs are available through Loudoun Wildlife to help monitor populations and increase community awareness of these often overlooked and fragile species. This presentation takes place at Rust Library and is co-sponsored by the Loudoun County Public Library and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.

Weāll meet at the boat ramp next to the parking lot.

We can play anything and everything, from Euchre and Pinochle to Hearts and Spades to Bridge and Rummy, and maybe even some Poker or Blackjack! It's up to whomever shows up. We'll get a table (or several) at the bar so the drinks (if you so desire) are handy!
