Saturday Afternoon GBK Park Walk and Talk + Lucy in the Sky Dinner and Drinks
**Let's escape the hustle and bustle of Jakarta with a late afternoon stroll through Senayan GBK Park and make some new friends along the way!**
Senayan GBK Park is located in the heart of the city and is a nice place to visit and explore. Starting from Entrance 7 (Pintu 7), we will walk around and through the park and then over to Senayan Park Complex.
Afterwards, we'll go to Lucy in the Sky at Spark, located on the rooftop of Senyan Park Mall for some refreshing drinks and food. This last part is optional for people who want to go.
The walk will be a casual stroll around several connecting parks. The walk will take approximately 1:30 hours.
We will meet just outside Entrance 7 near the main road.
Please be on time, as once we start the walk it will be very difficult to locate us. However, we will post the live location on the WhatsApp Group chat.
This is a fun and social event, and everyone is encouraged to get to know each other and make new friends.
**đ˘ IMPORTANT: Attendance Reconfirmation Required**
To ensure accurate headcounts and reduce no-shows, we're implementing an updated reconfirmation system for all events.
**Here's how it works:**

* 4 days before each event, a reconfirmation form will be posted in the event comments and shared in the WhatsApp group.
* You must reconfirm ASAP by submitting the form. Your spot is guaranteed only after you reconfirm.
* The form closes once we reach the target attendance number.
* Anyone who hasnât reconfirmed when the form closes will be removed from the attendee list.

**Twoâstrike rule: If you donât reconfirm and donât change to Not Going two times, you will be removed from the group.**

SHUT! UP! AND! WRITE! Vol. XXXXVII âď¸ with Jakarta Writers
Hello, Jakarta Writer! **Are you a member of [Jakarta Friends](https://www.meetup.com/jakarta-friends/) yet?**
Want to see **pictures** of past events? **[Take a look here](https://www.meetup.com/jakarta-creatives/photos/)**[!](https://www.meetup.com/jakarta-creatives/photos/) And feel free to upload a few pictures you might take at the event đ
JakCre and JakFri is **the** biggest, oldest, most active, and most inclusive MeetUp community in Jakarta⌠and we invite you to join us for this **SHUT! UP! AND! WRITE! Vol. XXXXVII**
Everyone is always welcome to join our events. Our community is all about creating authentic in-person connections in this urban jungle. Come as you are... itâs the best version of yourself.
**ABOUT THE EVENT**
So, you want to write? Then shut up and write! Writing is 0.01% "inspiration" and 99.99% getting down to it.
We will meet for a circa **2,5 hour writing session at Ngoepi in Cilandak**, a cozy cafĂŠ with some tasty bites and a lovely garden near the MRT station Fatmawati Indomaret.
It doesn't matter if you are an established writer or if you are picking up pen and paper for the first time. **Just show up, get down to it, and start writing.** Everyone will be working on their own thing, and we won't talk during writing. If you need some prompt or suggestion on what to write, I'll be happy to give you some ideas.
After the circa 2,5 h writing session session, we will switch off our laptops and close our notebooks (but if you want to keep going, feel free!) and chill down. We can also share each other texts and give feedback, if that's something someone would like to do.
**The rules of the game:**
1. We aim to start together in order not to disrupt the process for everyone. Please be on time.
2. No talking at the table during writing! After arriving at the table, we will focus on our own writing
3. You can take as many breaks as you want of course
Don't be late as we want to start writing together, and please do **update your RSVP at least 24h before the event** if you cannot come, else you will take away a spot from a person in the waitlist. Don't be that persons! **Repeated no-shows will be kicked from the group.**

0 to 1 with AI: Real Product Talks
**ProductTank NoVA is back!**
After a brief hiatus, we are relaunching the chapter with a format that cuts out the fluff and gets straight to the reality of building.
Every product feed is flooded with AI hype right now, but what does it actually look like on the ground? Instead of a polished keynote, we are hosting **0 to 1 with AI: Real Product Talks**âa "Show & Tell" featuring 3â4 lightning talks focused on the intersection of AI and product.
The framing for the talks is simple: *"Here is what I'm building, and here is what I'm stuck on."* We want to look at the messy, 0-to-1 reality of integrating AI into your workflows and products.
*(Want to share what you are working on? Reach out! The bar is low-pressure, just 10â12 minutes to talk about a real AI problem you are trying to solve.)*
**Agenda:**
* **5:30 PM - 6:00 PM:** Doors open, networking, & name tags
* **6:00 PM - 6:10 PM:** Welcome + Chapter Relaunch Intro
* **6:10 PM - 7:30 PM:** Lightning Talks (Three 12-min talks + 5 mins Q&A each, with a 5-min stretch break)
* **7:30 PM - 8:00 PM:** Open networking
* **8:00 PM:** Soft close
**Location & Logistics:** Herndon Fortnightly Library (Extended Hours Meeting Room) 768 Center St, Herndon, VA 20170
* **Parking:** We'll meet at the library, located just behind the Herndon Municipal Center. There is plenty of free public parking available around the municipal center.
* **Metro & Bus:** Take the Silver Line to Herndon Metro Station, then connect via Fairfax Connector Route 921 or 950 to Historic Downtown Herndon.
* **Driving (via VA-267/Dulles Toll Rd):** Take Exit 10 North (Centreville Rd, which becomes Elden St). Turn left onto Station St or Lynn St.
* **Driving (via VA-286/Fairfax Co Pkwy):** Take the Elden St West exit. Turn right onto Lynn St.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back to building!

Automating AWS with PowerShell: EC2, Lambda, and Beyond (Phil Bossman)
đ **Synopsis:**
Last month we got the foundation in place. Now it's time to build on it. Join us as we pick up right where we left off and go hands-on with two of the most powerful services in the AWS ecosystem, EC2 and Lambda, all from your PowerShell
prompt.
đ **Description:**
If you were with us in April, you already know how to set up the AWS CLI, install the necessary modules, authenticate securely, and manage IAM users and S3 buckets without ever touching the AWS console. This session picks up right where we left off.
This time, we're heading into compute territory. We'll walk through spinning up EC2 instances from scratchâpicking the right AMI, configuring security groups, and managing instance lifecycle with just a few clean lines of script. You'll see how to start, stop, and terminate instances programmatically, and why that matters when you're managing resources at scale.
From there, we'll shift gears to Lambda, where you'll see how to invoke serverless functions, pass payloads, and pull CloudWatch logs directly from your terminalâno browser required. It's the kind of automation that makes your future self very happy.
As always, expect live demos, real-world scenarios, and at least one moment where something doesn't go quite as plannedâwhich, as it turns out, is usually the most useful part. Whether you were with us last month or are jumping in for the first time, you'll walk away with working scripts, a clearer picture of what's possible, and patterns you can actually take back to work on Monday.
đ° Extra credit:
Bring your questions, your war stories, and your curiosity. This is a space for PowerShell enthusiasts to learn, share, and build together.

Qamaria Yemeni Coffee is authentic, spacious, has a helpful staff, and I like their espresso. If you try this place on your own, theyâre open early and late.
This spot has been recommended a couple times and I think itâll make a great stop on our journey. Come out Saturday morning for a relaxed convo.
(Please keep your RSVP updated if you know you won't be able to attend, so others who can join have the opportunity to. No discussions on politics, religion or potentially controversial topics. We're here to relax and have fun. Just be respectful and we'll be alright. Pay your own way, and enjoy!)
