⢠What is it? - This class is for all levels from novice to advanced runners, where we will train you to run fast.
⢠Where is it? - We meet at the Simon Bolivar statue in Parque De La Barceloneta. Click on this link to see the location https://www.pbtraining.online/pbrunning/
Due to how busy the park can get its not always possible for me to be in the same location for every session. Please look out for me in my blue PB t-shirt. You can text me and I can send you my location.
⢠When is it? - Running intervals runs every Tuesday at 07:15am, Tuesday at 7.30pm (Glories), Wednesday at 8pm, and Thursday at 7pm.
⢠Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 28 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. I have been involved in Athletics coaching since I was 17.
⢠How much is it? - âŹ10 a class however you can buy unlimited PB:Running classes for the calendar month for âŹ40.

⢠What to bring - It would be advised to bring along a water bottle. Bringing along a digital watch for timing runs and recoveries would be very useful. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Clothing layers can be left at the start finish line. I can keep valuables such as keys, wallets etc in my backpack or bike bags.

Japanese walking: Interval walking for fitness
Curious about the Japanese walking method everyoneâs talking about?
This simple but surprisingly effective style of walking alternates between:
* 3 minutes at a regular pace
* 3 minutes at a faster pace
âŚrepeated for 30 minutes.
Researchers in Japan (hence the name) discovered that this type of interval walking can improve cardiovascular fitness by around 10%, leg strength by around 17%, improve overall fitness levels, and lower blood pressure.
This session isnât about perfection, competition or athletic performance.
Itâs about moving, starting where you are, building consistency and doing it together.
What to expect:
⢠Short introduction and chat about the method
⢠Short warm-up
⢠30 minutes of guided interval walking
⢠Finish back where we started (Parc Poble Nou)
⢠Cool down and optional coffee afterwards
You do not need to be super fit or experienced. You can walk at your own level during the faster sections.
The focus is on:

We will use resistance bands in these classes. If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant.
⢠What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals.
⢠Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Barceloneta where our running classes take place. Just look out for me in my blue PB:Running top. Click on the link to see the location

đ The level: We will train at the intermediate 1.5-2 levels, so several months of training are required to consistently control the ball at an Intermediate-High Intermediate Level. You should reliably be able to touch the ball 3 times and control where you want the ball to go on attacks.
đŞ The cost : The general rate for a class per person is 10âŹ.
The languages spoken in the class are English, German, and Spanish.
âłđ The duration and structure: Every class lasts for 90 minutes, and is broken up into three main parts.
1\. Warm up\.
2\. Technique drills\.
3\. Fun play/games to put theory into practice\.
\*Note that there might be a chance to play longer if I don't have another class or free play with one of my groups.

đ¤đ Do I need to attend every time? You should only attend the class when you would like to and there is no obligation. However if you commit to a session, we expect you to be there.
