Everyone attending must RSVP in advance. Members can also confirm by email or text.

All first‑timers must also register on our in‑house MatchMaking app before joining the courts. If you haven’t registered, you won’t be able to start playing.
Mobile reception in the hall is poor, so if you are set up to pay by bank transfer, you must pay in advance before attending. If we have to chase payment afterwards, the fee becomes £20.
Bank transfer is available from your second session onwards once it’s set up and we confirm your playing level fits the standard of the club.

If payment still isn’t settled, you will be removed from the group and blocked from attending future sessions.
The same applies to no‑shows who do not release their RSVP within the cancellation policy.

If membership isn’t for you, pay‑as‑you‑play is also available by RSVP on meetup. We keep a good standard at our Tuesday sessions, but don’t worry if you’re a bit rusty or haven’t played for a while. We’ll help you find your level. Our MatchMaking app grades you over your first three consecutive sessions, and we offer a three‑session trial for £36 so you can settle in and see where you fit. As a guide, Tuesday sessions are for intermediate to strong intermediate ladies, and strong intermediate to advanced men. If you’re unsure of your level, come along — we’ll assess it on court and point you in the right direction.

Friday Indie Night at Hope & Anchor Islington
Hi All
We have an absolutely rocking night for you with three insanely talented and classy acts! Grit Pop Rock from the brilliant **Drew Thomas**, Alt Indie Rock from the fabulous **Lightlines** and a stunning opening acoustic set from one of the best folk soul pop artists out there - **George Huxtable**.
They are all FANTASTIC!!!
Join us from 6.45 upstairs at t
Our lineup:
Coming-of-age stories told through a modern gaze, **DREW THOMAS** grew up on music channels, scratched CDs, and the glow of a TV left on too late. Inspired by the turn of the millennium. A grit-pop revolution lives in that in-between space. Drew's songs unpack sexuality, hiding your feelings, and the familiar moment of falling out with the bathroom mirror. Rock music shaped by early-noughties honesty, written for anyone who grew up feeling out of place, still learning how to love themselves and the journey that comes with it.
Following 2025’s acclaimed Watershed EP, Drew steps into his next era with confidence, cementing his place as a modern LGBTQ+ artist. Breakout single “Girls Like Girls” went viral, pulling in over 2 million Instagram views alone, while “Do They Even Know You” earned BBC Radio 1 plays, along with spins across Amazing Radio, Total Rock and various online radios around the world, and named one of Dean Jackson’s BBC Introducing Most Played Artists of 2025.

**LIGHTLINES** are a UK alt-pop/rock trio who with loud guitars, driving drums, and honest lyrics, play music that hits hard live. Since debut single Wasted, they’ve crafted catchy, punchy songs designed for stage energy, emotional impact, and unforgettable nights.

UK-based Aussie song maker **GEORGE HUXTABLE** is crafting a sound best called ‘soully pop’. The warmth and honesty of his peformances has won him great support live. His debut album Season 22 was released in 2023.

Poetry Practise
Spreading the love of poetry, this will be an informal session where you:
- drop in, say 👋, join us at the reserved table
- spend about a half hour working on any poems that you're drafting, or otherwise - read through some of the poetry books that I'll bring along
- finally, we'll practise our poetry recital skills (only if you wish to), by reading out loud any of your own poems, or anything interesting that you found in the poetry books / other poems that you're fond of!
Cheers
Dave
