Acoustic night with Meaghan
Acoustic night with Meaghan
Join us in Nanny O’ Sheas on the 4th if May for a relaxed evening of unplugged music, where we share songs, laughs and a love for all things musical. Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping out of your bedroom with your first song, this is a space to play, listen, and connect. **New to performing?**

We want to create space that is especially welcoming to first-time performers. If you're new to sharing music, know that this is a no-pressure, supportive space where beginners are encouraged and we value having fun over perfection! **How it works:** * It’s unplugged and intimate. We go around in a song circle - each person gets a turn to play one song per round. You’re welcome to sit out a round if you prefer. * Singers welcome - no instrument needed. Go acappella or ask for accompaniment. * Covers, originals, instrumentals - all styles welcome. **A few practical notes:** * RSVP is essential in order to perform. * Plus one’s are welcome RSVP only required for musicians. * Can’t make it? Please update your RSVP so someone else can join. * Respect the performers: stay quiet during songs, and use breaks between rounds to grab a drink or step out. * The venue is free so we encourage you to support the bar by grabbing a drink. * The room we will be in is semi-private - patrons may wander in and listen from the back of the room. **Tips jar on the night

This helps cover the Meetup fee that hosts pay out of pocket (around €17/month). No pressure to contribute (but it helps keep things running)

**Spiritual Walk** from Irish National War Memorial Park along the river Liffey to Chapelizod, on Monday, 4th May at 2pm. **Our Route** We will start at the Memorial Gardens car park and set off through the gardens, then along the riverbank. The last third of the walk will be on footpaths into Chapelizod village, where we may get a coffee and a snack if you’re hungry. We’ll then return via a similar route and enjoy some of the features around the gardens as we find our way back to where we started from. We Are Nature Singing Workshop
We Are Nature Singing Workshop
Many of us are now realising that in order to live more in harmony with each other and the planet we need to recognise that we humans are nature. We are not separate from or superior to the natural world, we are part of the web of life and deeply connected to the rest of the living world. In this group harmony singing workshop we will sing songs and chants from around the world which celebrate our connection with and belonging to the natural world. Though we have been a destructive force on this planet, we humans also know how to be stewards of the land. Singing in harmony helps us to reconnect to our sense of togetherness and belonging and helps us tune in to our connection to the rest of the living world. All welcome – women, men and older kids who like singing. You don’t need any singing or voice-work experience as it isn’t about talent, it is about participation. This is a relaxed, inclusive, friendly and safe space, with no right or wrong way to use the voice. Adults of all ages, orientations, backgrounds and abilities are welcome. Singing is a wonderful way to feel connected to oneself and others. This group singing workshop will help you find joy, connection, harmony and oneness. Friday Night Kirtan: Soulful Musical Meditation
Friday Night Kirtan: Soulful Musical Meditation
Overview Get ready to immerse yourself in a spiritual journey through music and meditation at the Friday Night Kirtan event! Join us every Friday at **ISKCON Dublin** for an evening that’s more than just a concert—it’s a sanctuary. Located right in the heart of the city, at the top of the stairs on Abbey Street, our Friday Kirtan is a space for everyone to unplug, find inner peace, and experience ancient wisdom through sound. #### **What is Kirtan?** Kirtan is a traditional form of "call-and-response" musical meditation. One person sings a simple, ancient Sanskrit mantra, and the group sings it back. It’s effortless, deeply relaxing, and you don’t need to be a "singer" to participate. The music builds from a gentle, meditative whisper to a joyful, rhythmic celebration that naturally clears the mind. #### **Why Join Us?** * **De-stress:** Let the vibrations of the harmonium and drums wash away the week's tension. * **Community:** Meet like-minded people in a warm, non-judgmental environment. * **The Sanctuary:** Discover a quiet, hidden space in the city centre dedicated to peace and self-discovery. #### **The Evening Flow** * **6:00 PM – 7:00 PM:**[ Open Bhagavad Gita Wisdom Circle](https://www.meetup.com/harekrishnaireland/events/313884389/?fromSeries=true&slug=harekrishnaireland&eventId=313884389) (Optional - feel free to join early!) * **7:00 PM – 8:30 PM:** The Main Kirtan Experience * **8:30 PM onwards:** Evening concludes/Community connection time.
