Coming Out Group for Lesbian and Bisexual Women
We're hosting our regular peer support group for lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, queer and questioning women.
We look forward to welcoming you if you can make it. Our attendees are a diverse mix of women and are friendly, non-judgmental and inclusive of new people.
During the session we talk over topics by sharing our own experience. We cover any topics our attendees would like to raise (we write them down anonymously at the start of the session) they might be things like "how do I find queer friends?" , "managing the holiday season with an unsupportive family", "coming out at work", "bi invisibility" , "internalised homophobia" , "lgbt book recommendations?", "any dating app recommendations?".
The session is facilitated by volunteers from the charity London Friend.
Our group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 7pm to 9pm.
We're aware it can sometimes be intimidating to join a group like this for the first time, so please reach out to our friendly volunteers if you'd like more information. We can be contacted via Meetup or by emailing changes@londonfriend.org.uk. If you'd like to join and listen without participating further that's ok too.
MeetUp is one of the many platforms where people can find this event, and so the number of meetup RSVP's doesn't match the actual number of attendees. If you'd like to join without RSVPing on Meetup you can simply turn up 7pm at the London Friend location.

**FAQ**
Not sure you'll keep up? GoodGym is for everyone (18+). Whether you've never run before, or are chasing a marathon PB, you are 100% welcome. We always have a back-marker so no one gets left behind.
70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. 👍
What do I need to wear? Most of us wear gym/running gear. Make sure you're prepared for the weather.
Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours.
Do I need to bring anything? Gardening gloves are really useful for a lot of GoodGym tasks. And a head torch too if it’s likely to get dark. Please bring some if you can but there’s no requirement 🧤💡🧤
What is GoodGym? We're a (really lovely) group of people who use our energy to make a difference in our local community (and in communities across the UK!). We often meet on a weeknight, at least once a week, for a session to do good and get fit. We'd love you to come and join us. Any questions, just pop a comment below or send me a message. Private Substance Misuse Support Group
This group is a private substance misuse support group, for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship with drugs/alcohol. The group is facilitated by a trained and qualified Janus worker.
This group is designed to offer support, encouragement and to provide a forum, that allows you to make informed choices.
The objective of this group is to liberate you from the labels of addiction, dependency, illness sickness and "disease", replacing them with the more proactive terminology of choice, responsibility, self control and decision making.
Janus does not use the 12 step model. It uses the Janus approach to working with substance use called "The Resonance Factor" http://bit.ly/Resonance_blog
Hopefully you will find these groups informative, innovative and creative.
Before entering this group could you contact CHRISTOPHER ROBIN on 07515663621 to discuss the finer details regarding payment and room number in the venue etc.

CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1
week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to all of YOU for volunteering at this (and any of our previous) CMG Gives Back events!
Should be a good/fun/meaningful time together, Dan

Engaging in men’s work is the new way to forge friendships while being open-minded to personal growth. Many men experience healthier relationships, personally and professionally, by engaging in this work.
Open Men’s Group is a container for men to share vulnerably without receiving judgment or feedback.
We believe that emotionally mature, powerful, compassionate, and purpose-driven men will help heal some of society’s deepest wounds. We support the powerful brilliance of men and we are willing to look at, and take full responsibility for, the pain we are also capable of creating – and suffering. We care deeply about men, our families, communities, and the planet.
