Shufl board Wednesdays
Every Wednesday Kalli Craft hosts a free 2 hour competition. Join us, meet new people and enjoy Swiss Craft beer!
**What is Shufl board?**
Shuflboard is a game that can be played with up to 8 people. The game looks a lot like curling with the objective to get the puck as far on the board as possible without falling off.
**How does the competion work?**
After checking in at the bar, two teams will be created. The staff will explain the rules of the game and then it's time for competion! Around 21:00 the game will end and the winners get a free beer and ethernal glory.
**About**
Kalli Craft is a place where people could come and meet new friends, socialise and have a good time. All with one special thing in common: Incredible beer!
At Kalli Craft you can tap your own beer. There are always 8 Swiss Craft beers on tap and the selection changes regularly. You pay per volume so you can choose to take a sip of each beer before you tap a whole glass.
Next to craft beer, we also have a wide selection of sodas, wine, prosecco and alcohol free beers.
Stoicism and Awareness: Lessons from Seneca and Anthony de Mello
Why do we suffer in a given moment? Is it because we are attached to something? Can we observe suffering without trying to change or judge it?
These are the kinds of questions Seneca would ask in his timeless teachings. Through his letters and essays, he urged readers to examine their lives with honesty, discipline, and a commitment to inner freedom.
Further, because Stoic ideas often feel logical yet hard to internalize, we will explore together how awarenessâdrawing on the work of spiritual teacher and author Anthony de Melloâcan help bridge that gap.
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
**Preparation:**
We recommend reading this [Article about the book Awareness by A. De Mello](https://becomeconscious.substack.com/p/lessons-from-awareness-by-anthony).
**For Philosophical Minds Zurich theme events in general:**
At our theme events, we begin with a brief topic introduction, followed by engaging discussions in small groups. Itâs all about conversation, not just listening. Also, please note, we keep the atmosphere relaxed and informalâ**thereâs** **no pressure to speak in front of anyone**.
**Important:** When you register for the event, please commit to it and don't be a NO SHOW. Presumably, when the ancient philosophers decided to go to an event, they kept to it.âŠ
We look forward to seeing you.
**Payment:** You can pay at the venue (Twint/Revolut/Cash). Thus, if you want to register at Meetup just click attend - no more needed ;).
We look forward to seeing you.
Metalheads Gathering - Metal Together
Join us, metalheads of Zurich and its surrounding areas, in our monthly Wednesday meetup for some afterwork drinks, chaotic socializing and listening to heavy music!
**Where?**
This meetup will be held at **[Norden Bar](https://www.norden-bar.ch/)** \- a Nordic\-themed bar which offers an assortment of beers\, mead & liquors from all over Scandinavia\, as well as several tabletop games and a giant log for Hammerschlagen\!
**When?**
The gathering will officially begin at \~7:00pm and normally goes until midnight. However, members often arrive slightly earlier and might stay until the following day! You are welcome to join at any point and leave whenever you please.
**Attendance:**
Attendance can vary, but the number of people at the gatherings is normally somewhere between 20 and 40 metalheads! The group is comprised by a balanced mixture of longstanding members, semi-regulars and curious visitors.
**Chats:**
Get invited to our chat-groups by introducing yourself at one of the meetups! We currently offer an "official" chat for announcements, updates on events & organizing concerts, a "fun" chat for casual discussions & informal events, and a meme chat for silly discussions and somewhat thematic memes. You can join neither, some or all!
**FAQ:**
"*How can I find the group?*"
We normally reserve one of the larger tables at the bar and decorate it with a large black flag. If you still have trouble finding the group, feel free to approach the bartenders and they will point you our way. We also use name tags, so talk to anyone with a name tag visible and you are already part of the group!
"What happens if I arrive late?"
Nothing really. We will give you a warm welcome and introduce you to the others, no matter at which time you arrive đ
"*What can I expect from these meetups?*"
Think of a common "after-work meet & drink", but in a themed bar, with lots of band-shirts and metal music playing in the background. Guests normally show up, grab a drink and join a clique for a conversation.
"*Do I need to be a hardcore metal fan for this meetup?*"
Not really. The theme of this meetup is indeed metal music and most members do have a liking for it, but plenty others are more casual listeners or more into rock/punk/goth. We welcome all!

[Public Event][Multiple Film Screenings & Talk][Free Entry] Palestinian Land Day
This is an announcement to a public event hosted by [Zentralwäscherei](https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/108133731078043/zentralwascherei/?e=08b9f262-7b74-471f-bae2-1825b178d7cc&g=5).
The event is free entry so no tickets needed.
As the 50th anniversary of Palestinian Land Day approaches on March 30th, we invite you to a film screening and input reflecting on land as the heart of the Palestinian struggle for liberation; its fragmentation, dispossession, and the Palestinian peopleâs steadfast resistance to ongoing Zionist settlement and land grab.
Since October 2023, forced displacement has intensified across Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, alongside the ongoing brutal genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. This event situates todayâs Zionist aggression within a longer history of erasure, expulsion, and forced dispossession.
**PROGRAM:**
⌠Maâloul Celebrates its Destruction \(1984\) by Michel Khleifi \| 32 min
⌠Yom al\-Ard \(2019\) by Monica Maurer \| 15 min
⌠Masafer Yatta: Forced from Home \(2023\)\, by MÊdecins Sans Frontières \(MSF\) \| 11 min
The film program will be followed by an input and Q&A with scientist and activist Nihad Ben Salah, who will share her experience of volunteering with the Masafer Yatta Solidarity Alliance (MYSA), and witnessing the escalation of settler violence in the southern hills of al-Khalil after the âceasefireâ in October 2025.
