Conscious Living ~ An Experiential Community Program for Embodied Consciousness
### **“Conscious Living”**
**An Experiential Community Program for Embodied Consciousness**
**Resuming Thursday, May 21, 2026**
**On break:** June 4, 2026 **\| Summer break:** July & August 2026
**Thursdays, 7:30 PM (in person)**
**Facilitator:** Sophia Barna, M.Ed., M.S.W.
**Location: Toronto Theosophical Society,** 792 Glencairn Ave., Toronto, ON **(Basement Room)**
“Conscious Living” is a weekly experiential program that bridges the study of consciousness with the practical realities of everyday life. Rooted in the *Map of Consciousness* developed by David R. Hawkins and *A Course in Miracles (ACIM)*, this program invites participants to move beyond theory into lived, embodied awareness.
Together, we explore what it means to live “in the world, but not of it” — grounded, present, and engaged, while rooted in higher awareness.
The Map of Consciousness serves as our reference point. Each meeting focuses on a specific state of consciousness, blending study and practice so participants not only understand these states intellectually, but also learn to embody and live them in daily life.
In addition to the Map of Consciousness, A Course in Miracles (ACIM) provides a complementary framework for the program. ACIM offers practical spiritual principles for transforming perception, cultivating forgiveness, and recognizing the inner guidance of love and truth. Its teachings emphasize the shift from fear to love, the release of judgment, and the practice of conscious choice in every moment.
Our gatherings are grounded in the states of Love, Joy, and Gratitude, corresponding to the elevated energy field of 540 on the Map of Consciousness. From this frequency of openness and lightness, we come together to uplift, inspire, and grow in awareness — individually and collectively.
### **✨A Potluck for the Body, Heart, Mind & Soul🌈**
Each session is designed as a holistic experience — nourishing all dimensions of being:
* **🪷 Food for the Soul:** Guided meditation, self-reflection, and self-inquiry
* **🧠 Food for the Mind:** Lectures, presentations, and meaningful group discussions
* **✨ Food for the Body:** Embodied practices (movement and dance meditations), singing, chanting
* **💗 Food for the Heart:** Love-centered connecting and sharing
### **🌸What to Expect**
Together, we will explore different states of consciousness through:
* Lectures and presentations
* Guided meditation
* Self-reflection
* Group discussions
* Movement and dance meditation
* Singing and chanting
### **🌸What to Bring**
1. Coloured clothes — each week a specific colour (ROGVAIV rainbow sequence: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet). *This is an encouraged part of the experience, not mandatory.*
2. Silk or large dancing scarf/veil
3. Notebook, journal, or paper with pens, crayons, markers
4. Your highest vibrational presence in love, joy, and gratitude
This is a space where learning becomes lived experience — where insight meets embodiment.
*To uphold universal brotherhood without distinction and freedom of thought, all elements of the evening are invitational. Participants may opt out of any component and still be welcome, as long as we engage with one another respectfully.*
*This is a participatory series with optional components. In keeping with TTS values, you are welcome to opt in or opt out of any element, and the central expectation is mutual respect.*

**Registration:** TTS Study Groups, ts.study.to@gmail.com
Registration **optional** (for updates and materials). Walk-ins welcome.
### **About the Facilitator:**
**Sophia Barna** is an educator and facilitator with a long-standing interest in the relationship between inner life and everyday life: how spiritual principles become livable, embodied realities rather than abstract ideas. Her work bridges consciousness research, reflective inquiry, and practical methods for self-observation and inner transformation. Her background includes graduate training in education and social work, and advanced professional training in EMDR.
In “Conscious Living,” she draws on the Map of Consciousness (as developed by David R. Hawkins) and the spiritual psychology of A Course in Miracles, inviting participants to explore themes such as presence, perception, forgiveness, and the cultivation of love, joy, and gratitude through shared practice and dialogue. Her facilitation style is heart-centered, clear, and experiential, with space for participants to learn through reflection, discussion, and embodied exercises.
***Important distinction:*** While Sophia’s clinical experience, education, and skills shape how she holds the space and communicates, this series does not constitute EMDR therapy, psychotherapy or a clinical solution for mental or emotional problems. It is a group experience offered in the spirit of service and public learning, and it should not replace care from a licensed provider in a private and confidential therapeutic relationship.
Inclusive AI in Practice: A Cross-Sector Roundtable
**Moving from Conversation to Implementation**
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping workplaces, products, services, and decision-making systems across sectors. As organizations accelerate AI adoption, many teams are being asked to make high-impact decisions without clear governance structures, shared implementation standards, or practical guidance for assessing risk, accountability, accessibility, and long-term impact.
Across workforce, technical, and community contexts, organizations are grappling with how to ensure AI is implemented in ways that are inclusive, responsible, and grounded in real-world realities. HR professionals, AI practitioners, nonprofit leaders, governance stakeholders, and community advocates each hold critical perspectives on how AI systems can either reinforce existing inequities or help build more equitable futures.
This in-person QT Inclusive AI Roundtable brings together professionals across sectors for a facilitated cross-sector working session focused on one core question:
**What do organizations actually need in order to implement inclusive AI responsibly in practice?**
This session is designed as a collaborative implementation lab where leaders and professionals can explore the real-world challenges of implementing AI responsibly, share practical insights across sectors, and help shape the tools, frameworks, and approaches organizations need to move from theory into action.
Through guided dialogue, peer exchange, implementation exercises, and collaborative activities, participants will explore:
* where AI is already influencing organizational decisions and systems
* the governance, operational, and accountability tensions organizations are navigating
* how different sectors experience and define AI risks differently
* where misalignments and gaps currently exist
* what practical tools, frameworks, and supports are needed to move from theory into implementation
Grounded in queer-informed approaches to systems, safety, accessibility, and community-centred accountability, this session centers lived experience as a critical source of implementation insight. Participants will examine how AI systems can unintentionally reproduce invisibility, exclusion, surveillance, or harm when deployed without meaningful community grounding or governance structures.
This session is part of QueerTech’s broader initiative to move from conversation into practical implementation. Insights gathered through this roundtable will directly contribute to the development of community-informed toolkits, frameworks, case studies, and practical resources designed to support organizations implementing inclusive AI across sectors.
The session will include both implementation perspective-based discussions and cross-sector exchange, creating space for participants to deepen within their own organizational realities while learning from different approaches, constraints, and experiences across the ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to bring:
* real organizational scenarios
* current implementation challenges
* governance questions
* operational tensions
* decision points they are actively navigating
**Following this roundtable, there is a QT Connect for the broader community at the same location in the evening.**
**Participants will Leave With:**
✨ A clearer understanding of the governance, operational, and accountability challenges organizations are currently facing in AI implementation
✨ Cross-sector perspectives on how AI risks, tensions, and opportunities are experienced differently across workforce, technical, governance, and community contexts
✨ Greater insight into the practical tools, frameworks, and supports organizations need to move from intention into responsible implementation
✨ New ways of thinking about inclusion, safety, visibility, and accountability through queer-informed and lived-experience perspectives
✨ Practical ideas, questions, and next steps to bring back into their organization, team, or community
✨ Connections with peers across sectors navigating similar implementation realities and decision-making challenges
✨ The opportunity to contribute to the development of future QT Inclusive AI resources, frameworks, and toolkits
This roundtable is supported by WAGE (Women and Gender Equality) Canada and by RBC’s approach to helping strengthen the capacity of Canada’s nonprofit sector.
**Who Should Attend**
This session welcomes professionals working across:
* HR, workforce, and organizational leadership
* AI, product, design, and technical systems
* Nonprofit, public, and community-serving organizations
* Governance, policy, accessibility, legal, and strategy roles
* Research, advocacy, and ecosystem-building spaces

**About QT Inclusive AI**
QT Inclusive AI is a national initiative designed to support professionals across Canada in understanding, assessing, and applying inclusive AI practices within real organizational contexts. Through curriculum, assessment tools, facilitated dialogue, and community-informed resource development, participants examine how AI systems are being used in practice and where risks, tensions, and opportunities are emerging.
The goal of QT Inclusive AI is to help translate responsible AI principles into practical implementation across technical and non-technical environments.

Connection Labs Online (aka Crossroads & Connections)
### Each Crossroads & Connections workshop is a fast, friendly mash-up: short demos, paired practices and intentional reflection. We keep it light, embodied, and social—so wisdom lands in your muscles and your circle, not only your mind. There isn’t one technique that fixes everything, for everyone, in every situation.
### What is it?
We pair complementary domains to spark shared flow, fresh insight, and unforgettable “aha!” moments. You leave with lived skills, not just notes.
* **Dialogue** gets you out of solo spin: small-group formats expose blind spots and sharpen “shared reality,” so your next move matches *this* person and *this* moment.
* **Imaginal** practice is guided “as if” rehearsal you look *through*, not *at*: walking the beats before the scene means your body recognizes turns when stakes rise.
* **Mindfulness** steadies the camera: attention stops jerking around, drama gets de-amplified, and you can catch the instant you’re narrating motives and swap in one honest question.
* **Embodiment** makes it actionable through direct, non-verbal experience and how your inner experience matches your outer expression.
Facilitators: Varies
Fee: $30USD - Or a 10-pack for $200USD

How Toxic People Affect Your Health & Happiness
Do toxic people weigh you down? Affect your happiness? How can having toxic relationships affect your Health? And moreover, how can you spot them before it’s too late?
Attend this in-person meeting to find out how to spot these people and remove their negative emotions from your life.
This event is hosted by The Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center in Central Ohio.
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that.
Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
**The Behavior Gap: Where Products Win or Lose**
Teams today have more data than ever, and yet many still struggle to understand why customers adopt, engage with, or abandon their products. Teams sprint, ship faster, and chase more signals… all while metrics stall and confidence drops. The missing piece isn’t more data. It’s often the behavioral insight between the metrics, explaining why the numbers move in the first place. Dashboards can tell you what customers did, but understanding why they did it (and how to influence what they do next) requires a deeper blend of insights. This session is about closing that gap.
Drawing from real-world experience designing and scaling products as [ZoCo Design](https://zocodesign.com/)’s CEO, [Lacey](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) will share how to cut through the noise and identify the insights that actually change behavior—moving people, and moving metrics. You’ll learn:
* Why understanding customer behavior is a quant and qual challenge
* How to spot the signals that actually predict behavior change
* Where AI accelerates insight, and where it creates distraction
* How to get meaningfully closer to customers, without adding more tools
This talk reframes how to evaluate performance and identify what levers actually improve it, helping your team to make smarter bets with greater confidence. Every meaningful outcome is driven by behavior change. And when you know how to design for behavior, you stop guessing, and start building things that work.
**About Our Speaker**
[Lacey Picazo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) is the Founder and CEO of ZoCo, a healthcare product studio that turns complex, high-stakes ideas into products that drive real-world adoption. She partners with healthcare organizations to uncover critical care delivery insights, focus product strategy through behavior design, and build solutions that patients and providers actually use.
