The next NoVABeerSec event - "Informal Gathering of Security Minds Over Beer" will be Wednesday, April 29th, 5:30PM til 7:30ish at Aslin Beer Company - Herndon Taproom (767 Elden St., Herndon VA 20170).
**Venue for April:** Aslin Beer Company (https://www.aslinbeer.com) - Aslin Beer Co. was founded in 2015 by Andrew Kelley and Kai Leszkowicz. The name, Aslin, comes from the family that connected Andrew and Kai through marriage; they each married a daughter from the Aslin Family. Andrewâs professional background was in finance and consulting, while Kai worked in public service. They bonded over a shared interest of craft beer and home-brewing, which eventually lead to the idea that âWe can do this too.â
**Additional Info:** We are an inclusive group, so if we missed anyone please let us know or if you want to bring your significant other/spouse please do. We do know there are folks that have changed roles since we last met so please also let us know if we need to add new contact info for people. Have a great week and see you later this month!
Cheers,

We will hike the famous Fairfax County Cross County Trail (CCT). Weâll depart from the Lake Audubon pool area and follow the CCT trail north for three miles and back three miles for a total of 6 miles. The route features a pleasant mix of dirt, gravel, and paved surfaces, with a few gentle hillsânone exceeding 200 feet. Along the way, weâll also enjoy a one-mile stretch of the W&OD Trail. After the hike, weâll head to Lake Anne Brew House, an award-winning spot known for its small-batch beers and beautiful views overlooking Lake Anne. Hike parking along Twin Branches and Glade Dr. A detailed map of the CCT is located here: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/trails/trail-buddy
Run starts promptly at 9:45 am and follows a 1.5 mile loop around the lake. Do however many loops you like!
Run at your own pace.
After the run, we'll meet at the Brew House for a beer or coffee and BREAKFAST pretzels! Those cannot be anything but delicious.
See you there.

Please join local travel enthusiasts to share travel experiences and swap tips and ideas for future travel. This is our third meeting. It's been a while and we've all been busy, so let's regroup!
Expect a non-structured, casual hang with some interesting people. I aim for this to be a welcoming environment and my only real goal is for everyone to make a new friend. You don't have to be a raging extrovert to participate. All are welcome.
About the Group:
This group is for anyone who loves swapping stories about far-off places, planning future adventures, and trading travel tips. Whether you've been around the world or you're just starting to explore, you're welcome here!
We meet at local breweries for laid-back conversations about all things travel â past trips, upcoming journeys, bucket lists, favorite hidden gems, and insider advice. It's a friendly, casual space to connect with fellow adventurers, get inspired, and maybe even find your next travel buddy.
No tickets required â just curiosity, good vibes, and a love for discovery.
