**About the Session:**
**When & Where?**
🗓 **Saturday at 9am.** This event is on Saturday.
**⏰ 1 hour session**
**📍 Edinburgh Gardens, Fitzroy north** \- general area behind the Rotunda on the grass\. Melbourne\.
(There is a pin in the location and you can also look in the image gallery to see where to meet on the map and what to look out for .)
**🌧️Weather** : Because this event is in the park - If the weather is raining and unlikely to let up I will have to cancel the event. Please check the event listing before attending to make sure it's still going ahead. Melbourne weather is a tad unpredictable!
**About the Session:** *Grounded in the Forest.*
Settle in for an hour of deeply guided Yoga Nidra and a grounding forest-inspired visual meditation in the park.
**This practice is designed to help you:**
• Rest your body fully and arrive steady for the week ahead.
• Calm and regulate your nervous system.
• Feel a sense of rootedness, belonging, and quiet inner support.
**We’ll begin with Yoga Nidra,** a guided practice where you simply lie down and let your body drop into deep rest. Often called yogic sleep, it invites you into that soft, spacious place between waking and dreaming. There is nothing you need to do, just follow my voice as I guide your awareness gently through the body and breath.
**From there, I’ll lead you into a visual meditation inspired by the moss-covered forest floor.** Through imagery of soft earth, shifting canopy light, and a quiet ancient presence, this meditation helps you feel grounded, held, and restored. The journey is designed to ease tension downward, settle the mind, and reconnect you with a deep sense of inner steadiness.
**No prior experience is needed, just come as you are. Everyone is welcome!** The meditation session is continuously guided by my voice and if you have not tried meditation before - this is a great way to start.
**What to bring?**
* A yoga mat to lie on and a blanket. (If you have forgotten to bring one still come, I will have some extra mats in case 😊)
* A pillow or eye covering if you like extra comfort.
* Warm layers, please wear comfortable clothing (it can get very nippy in the park when lying still. Please rug up 🌿)
**Attending:**
* **If you haven’t RSVP’d and want to come last minute, you’re always welcome to join, the more the merrier! I will have a few mats on hand just in case.** 😊
**Starting set up:**
We’ll start the meditation session at 9am on Saturday.
Coming a little early helps you settle, get comfortable, and land in the space before we begin.
**Running late:**
Please know, if you’re running late, there’s no stress at all. Just join quietly whenever you arrive. You won’t be disrupting anything and your presence is welcome at any point during the session. 😊
I am also running a Hatha yoga session before this starting at 8am, if you would like to come to that one as well please click attending one both event listings. 😊🙏
**Looking forward to seeing you there 🌿✨**

**About the Session:Hatha Yoga - Effort & Ease**
This is a gentle, beginner-friendly Hatha yoga class designed to help you move slowly, breathe with intention, and feel grounded in your body.
**What is Hatha yoga -Effort & Ease**
Hatha yoga is traditionally described as the union of two energies - the activating quality of heat and the calming quality of coolness.
In this practice, we explore the space between effort and ease.
We don’t push, and we don’t collapse.
We move slowly enough to feel where the body naturally lands, and we use the breath to guide us into balance.
Today is about learning how to meet each shape with steadiness and softness at the same time.
The sequence will be slow, grounding, and supportive - ideal for beginners or anyone wanting a calm, clear start to the day.
We’ll warm up gently, move through simple stabilising shapes, then finish with a short rest to integrate.
No experience is needed. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
***What to Bring***
• A yoga mat
• A blanket or warm layer
• Comfortable clothes
• Optional cushion for extra comfort
(If you forget a mat, still come - I’ll have a couple of extras 😊)
***
**Attending**
Please Rsvp if you know you are coming. If you haven’t RSVP’d and want to join last minute, please feel welcome. The group is relaxed and friendly.
**Starting Setup**
We begin at 800am.
Arriving a few minutes early helps you land, get settled, and start the morning slowly.
***
**Running Late?**
No stress at all.
Just join quietly whenever you arrive - you won’t interrupt the class 😊.
***
**I am also running a meditation session at 9am after Hatha yoga finishes.** If you would like to come to both please click attending in the meditation session too 🙏😊
**Looking forward to practicing with you 🌿✨**

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
