The Weekend Reset: Bhagavad Gita & Soulful Conversation
Overview
Join us for a meaningful weekend reset, diving into the Bhagavad Gita and engaging in soulful conversations every Friday at ISKCON, Dublin.
**Every Friday from 6 PM to 7 PM**, we host an open, informal, and insightful discussion on the **Bhagavad Gita,** ancient wisdom written for the modern heart.
Following the discussion, we transition into our[ ](https://www.meetup.com/harekrishnaireland/events/313882888/)**[Soulful Kirtan Night at 7:00 PM](https://www.meetup.com/harekrishnaireland/events/313882888/)**[. ](https://www.meetup.com/harekrishnaireland/events/313882888/)
You are more than welcome to join us for both events as a full evening of reflection and music, or simply drop in for whichever one resonates with you most.
**What to Expect:**
* **The Wisdom:** We dive into the timeless verses of the Bhagavad Gita, exploring practical lessons that can be translated directly into our everyday lives.
* **The Conversation:** This isn't a lecture. It’s a relaxed space for questions, reflections, and "Aha!" moments.
* **The Vibe:** Cosy, non-judgmental, and welcoming. Whether you’ve read the Gita ten times or have never heard of it, there is a seat for you at the table.
* **The Music:** Stay for the Kirtan at 7 PM to experience a meditative musical experience that clears the mind and uplifts the spirit.
Don't worry if you don't have your own Bhagavad Gita, we have copies for you to borrow, or you can pick up your own to keep if the wisdom resonates.
Friday Night Kirtan: Soulful Musical Meditation
Overview
Get ready to immerse yourself in a spiritual journey through music and meditation at the Friday Night Kirtan event!
Join us every Friday at **ISKCON Dublin** for an evening that’s more than just a concert—it’s a sanctuary. Located right in the heart of the city, at the top of the stairs on Abbey Street, our Friday Kirtan is a space for everyone to unplug, find inner peace, and experience ancient wisdom through sound.
#### **What is Kirtan?**
Kirtan is a traditional form of "call-and-response" musical meditation. One person sings a simple, ancient Sanskrit mantra, and the group sings it back. It’s effortless, deeply relaxing, and you don’t need to be a "singer" to participate. The music builds from a gentle, meditative whisper to a joyful, rhythmic celebration that naturally clears the mind.
#### **Why Join Us?**
* **De-stress:** Let the vibrations of the harmonium and drums wash away the week's tension.
* **Community:** Meet like-minded people in a warm, non-judgmental environment.
* **The Sanctuary:** Discover a quiet, hidden space in the city centre dedicated to peace and self-discovery.
#### **The Evening Flow**
* **6:00 PM – 7:00 PM:**[ Open Bhagavad Gita Wisdom Circle](https://www.meetup.com/harekrishnaireland/events/313884389/?fromSeries=true&slug=harekrishnaireland&eventId=313884389) (Optional - feel free to join early!)
* **7:00 PM – 8:30 PM:** The Main Kirtan Experience
* **8:30 PM onwards:** Evening concludes/Community connection time.
Free lecture: Becoming a person
What makes a human being a *person*? Is it our bodies, our souls, our consciousness — or something more?
Join us for a talk by Dr. Mette Lebech, lecturer in philosophy in Maynooth University as she investigates this idea of personhood through the lens of Edith Stein's philosophical anthropology.

Zazen Meditation + Dharma talk or Kinhin
The meaning of the word zen is meditation, zazen means sitting meditation. In zazen practice we begin to know ourselves, and to go beyond the limits of our personal ego. Within our tradition zazen is referred to as shikantaza, not doing, letting go of thoughts, dropping off body and mind. This sitting meditation is the focus of our practice. Language limits our ability to communicate the true nature of zen; it is something that is better understood
through practice. We are open to everyone interested in learning about zen.
Intro workshop for newcomers is available at 5.30pm each Sunday. The dojo is a sacred place and it is important to be considerate of everyone. We have many people that travel to practise together once a week or once a month. So for that reason it is really essential that we all know the structure of the sitting practise (when to sit, how to do Kinhin, the different bell sounds and their meaning etc), to ensure a silent, safe and meaningful meditation. And it's also great to meet everyone before the sitting practise. And answer any questions you may have.
We have zafus and zabutons (mats and cushions) for all to sit on. Chairs are available too.
Comfortable clothing for sitting, black or neutral tones best.
We greatly appreciate a donation of €5 to cover costs if it's possible for you.
Please arrive 10min before start so 6ish (if you're not doing the intro workshop).
You are very welcome to our dojo!
Sunday Evening Zazen meditation
Join us for Zazen Meditation. please arrive at 6pm.
newcomers please arrive at 5.45 for an introduction to Zazen meditation.
Unexpected New Beginnings: The Paths We Didn’t Plan
Some of the most important chapters of our lives begin in ways we never expected.
A move to a new country, the end of a relationship, a career change, a personal loss, a new opportunity, or simply a moment when life quietly takes us in a different direction.
For our first Pathmakers gathering, we will explore the unexpected beginnings that have shaped our journeys and the lessons, challenges and discoveries that came with them.
This is not a workshop, therapy session, coaching group or networking event.
It is a small and welcoming gathering where people can connect through meaningful conversation, active listening and shared perspectives.
You are welcome to share your story, listen to others, or simply be present. Every perspective is valuable.
We’ll gather over tea, conversation and a few shared treats in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
If you’d like, feel free to bring a small snack, fruit, biscuits or something simple to share with the group.
The intention is simple:
To create a space where we can reflect on the paths we didn’t plan, learn from one another’s experiences and discover that there are often more people walking similar roads than we realize.
This gathering is free to attend. If you enjoy the experience and would like to support future Pathmakers gatherings, voluntary contributions are welcome (but never expected) to help cover Meetup platform costs and other small expenses related to hosting the community.
Limited to 6 participants to keep the conversation intimate and meaningful.
Sunday Morning Puja
This Sunday morning session comprises a short sit and a Puja (Buddhist devotional ritual).
No need to book, just turn up a few minutes beforehand. On a donation basis.
If you’re coming online, join [via Zoom](https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86127244172?pwd=MjJobkgybVFncjlmczROSmZ3MExEUT09) (password if required is *sundaypuja*) a few minutes before 11am.
THE CONSCIOUS RESET
Dear beautiful souls,
I’m so excited to finally share something very special that has been in creation for some time…
🌿 The Conscious Reset 🌿
On the eve of the June New Moon, we gather in the beautiful Mutton Lane Yoga Studio in Dublin 16 for an afternoon of transformation, intention, and energetic alignment.
This experience is designed to help you reconnect with the power of your thoughts, your energy, and the frequency you choose to live from.
Through Orla’s transformational masterclass Change Your Mind, Change Your Life, you’ll discover how even a single thought, belief, or intention has the power to shape your reality.
By learning to shift mindset, raise vibration, and align with positive energy, we begin opening the path for new possibilities to come into fruition.
As we move into the energy of the New Moon — a powerful portal for new beginnings and manifestation — you will be guided to consciously plant intentions for the life you wish to create.
The journey then deepens through meditation, pranayama, and a signature sound healing experience using ancient instruments, Tibetan singing bowls, and therapeutic frequencies.
Through vibration and sound, each participant will be supported individually to release energetic blockages, unlock inner clarity, and restore alignment within mind, body, and soul.
Finishing with a curated Sound journey where Isabel, Sound & Soul journey will guide you through soothing sounds into a deep meditative state 🌙
An afternoon to reset your energy, elevate your frequency, and step into a new cycle with intention.
Tea and refreshments included.

What does it mean to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world?
In this gathering, we'll continue our series on the Sermon on the Mount from a mystical perspective.
