\-\-\-
**Talks:**
Rober Klonner (WKO Inhouse Gmbh)
**GitOps Visibility: Precise Argo CD diffs on every Pull Request**
Today's GitOps deployments are generated through layers of templating - Helm charts, Kustomize or ApplicationSets. Modifying these abstractions and trying to mentally render the output is error-prone.
This talk introduces a method that uses Argo CD itself to render accurate diffs of Helm charts and Kustomize overlays between branches and posts the result directly on your pull request.
We'll walk through a production setup using the Argo CD Operator, Argo CD Diff Preview, and GitLab CI, optimized for performance, minimal maintenance, and security. Through real-world use cases, we'll show what issues this approach catches before they hit your cluster.
Thomas Hanser (Untis GmbH)
**The Untis Platform Engineering Journey: GitOps Multi-Tenancy with Flux, GitLab, and Friends**
Operating in the European education sector means juggling compliance, student privacy and massive traffic spikes when school starts. Historically at Untis, keeping this running in production was the burden of a single operations team. This session details our transition to an automated, multi-tenant GitOps platform managing a fleet of internal and external Kubernetes clusters. We share our approach of building a platform that gives product teams actual autonomy without compromising on security or control:
* **Structured Multi-Tenancy:** Mapping GitLab groups to namespaced tenant projects using Flux’s multi-tenant model.
* **Secure Access Control:** Leveraging the GitLab Agent for Kubernetes to enable scoped, declarative self-service cluster access.
* **Flexible Delivery Models:** Supporting multiple decentralized deployment strategies by balancing governance and freedom for both internal teams and external guest environments.
Prepare for an honest demonstration of challenges like managing secret lifecycles across a growing fleet, moving from script-driven tenant onboarding to true automated self-service, and wrestling with the classic "chicken-and-egg" problems of bootstrapping Flux and handling GitOps release management.

**The fee for this training is 16€ and includes the trainer, the shuttles and the court booking for one hour.**
Valid registration is possible **after paying 16€**. Please pay by Friday evening. Link to it: **https://pay.sumup.com/b2c/Q2PKK0L1**.

Without further ado - let's learn how to play badminton and have some fun together!
Portrait Photography Workshop with a model
This time we’ll meet in Stadtpark for a portrait session / workshop, with plenty of time to experiment and work in different light situations.
It’s a great opportunity to practise working with natural light outdoors, work with a model, and also get a few portraits for yourself.
We’ll start with simpler portrait setups and then move into more creative and experimental directions as we go.
Each person will have time to photograph the model but can also practice on the side, try different approaches, and also jump in for quick portraits in between. The idea is that we rotate setups a few times and explore how light, background, and small changes in direction affect the image.
We’ll have a model with us throughout the session.
Donation fee: 5€
Feel free to bring snacks and drinks — it’s a relaxed, open session.

Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows,
Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us!
Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast.
Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too.
What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :)
We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast!
Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45.
We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier.
Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup.
Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code - Alan Barber
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.

• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.
• Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
