Join us for a beginner-friendly photography hike at Rouge National Urban Park on **Saturday, February 21**. **Where to Meet:** **Rouge National Urban Park, Twyn Rivers Day Use Area** **55 Twyn Rivers Dr, Scarborough, ON M1B 5R9** (Anyone passing by UNION Station is welcome to journey with me. I will take the Lakeshore East GO Train to Eglinton GO, then take Bus 86A to Park Road. I will then hike 1 hour to our destination at the parking lot.) **What to Bring:** * Your camera (any kind) * Comfortable boots and warm layers (ground may be wet as snow melts) * Water/snacks **What We’ll Do:** We’ll explore the trails together, enjoy winter nature scenes, and try to capture birds, wildlife, interesting landscapes, and whatever catches your eye. Whether it’s texture in the forest, reflections, frozen river edges, or wildlife tracks, there will be lots to photograph. This event is about having fun with photography, practicing skills, and learning from each other. All levels are welcome — no selling or commercial activity permitted.

Let’s do some coding together at a cafe! No more working alone in the weekend. Here, we write code together. And I mean together together. Not occupying-the-same-space-but-separate together. Here’s how it works: Jennifer brings her mobile app project, tells everyone that it is like Pinterest for recipes and she’d like to work on the nav bar. Paul and Chloe think Jennifer's project is fascinating, and they join the group. They gather around Jennifer’s laptop and work on the nav bar for 2 hours. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions. If you’re feeling stuck on your own project or need a motivation boost, bring it to mob programming! Want to learn by watching how others code and solve problems? Join someone else’s project at this event! Oh and we love your half-done projects that you are a bit embarrassed to share. We are back after a well needed break. This time we are staying in the city for another cafe hopping event. We are going to Chinatown to their New Year's festival. We will first meet INSIDE spadina subway station where you pay your fare. We will then take a short walk around Chinatown to learn some interesting facts about Chinese customs and food. Then we will go to "Chinatown Centre" where they're having Chinese performances inside including music, dance and craft booths. You can stay in Chinatown afterwards yourself and go to eat at some of places that were pointed out on the walk. This is a free event. You MUST meet us at the subway otherwise it will be too hard to find us at the festival.
