Dinner @ The Garden (of Good & Evil)
Located in Cheltenham, The Garden is an intimate tapas & wine bar perfect for your next night out.
The Garden of Good & Evil opened in April 2014 and is located on Station Road in bayside Cheltenham. Whether it's a casual catch up with mates on a Sunday afternoon, family celebrations, drinks after work or a romantic dinner for two, we do it all..
Boasting a vast selection of unique cocktails, boutique beers, local wines & seasonal tapas, The Garden will not disappoint. Step through the doors and youâll feel youâre anywhere but suburban Melbourne. Drink in hand, grab a seat along the brick wall or head towards the back of the dining room, where you'll find the entrance to the garden. More intimate than your regular beer garden, it's comfortable even during the winter months.
The menu is Spanish influenced, borrowing here and there from Southern American and Mexican cuisine, too. If you're after something sweet, look no further than the churros with caramelised condensed milk.
Here is a copy of the menu.

Very close to Cheltenham Station and plenty of parking around the area.
Also table is only held for an hour 45 minutes but venue may well let us stay longer than this anyway.

đ Location
Weâll be firing up the public BBQs along the Yarra, just near the Royal Botanic Gardens (west of Alexandra Ave & Anderson St, South Yarra).
Only a 15âminute stroll from Flinders St Station/Fed Squareâeasy enough to wander down with festive anticipation.
đ Look for the BBQ with red balloonsâour beacon of merriment.
The exact BBQ spot and map will be posted on the day, depending on availability.
đŽ Whatâs on the grill
* Snags, bread, onions (already supplied)

No need to bring anythingâunless youâve got special dietary needs or just feel inspired to contribute.
đž Contributions
Please give any Gold coin donations to Matt, who is generously sponsoring this event, welcome to help cover costsâbut the spirit here is generosity, not obligation.
đ¶ Why weâre gathering
This isnât just about sausagesâitâs about celebrating the many meetups, the friendships sparked, and the holiday season ahead. Think of it as a playful, satirical alternative to the mainstream festivities: a chance to eat, drink, dance, and laugh together before the year closes.
đ€ Collaborative spirit
This BBQ is a shared creationâa casual, coâhosted vibe where everyone adds their energy. Whether you bring a story, a dance move, or just your appetite, youâre part of the collective spark.
So come when you can, stay as long as you like, and letâs send off the year with sausages, satire, and seasonal cheer.
Merry Xmas! đđ

Contra dance Dec. 20 (First Unitarian Universalist Church)
# **Band: Firefly Trace, caller Kenny Greer**
Beginner lesson at 7:30, regular dancing begins at 8:00
**Sponsor: All Soles Contra and Square Dancing, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd., Columbus OH 43214**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like youâve seen in period films such as âPride and Prejudiceâ, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. Thatâs English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like âswing your partnerâ and âdo-si-do,â like youâve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alĂĄ âRiverdance.â Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THATâs Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
