ANSARI QADIRI RIFAI ZIKR - EVERY TUESDAY
ANSARI QADIRI RIFAI SUFI ORDER (AQRT) - UK TUESDAY ZIKR/MEDITATION
The Ansari Qadiri-Rifai Sufi Order (London branch), under the guidance of Shaykh Taner Vargonen Ansari, is pleased to invite men and women, regardless of your faith or beliefs to our weekly Tuesday zikr.
We are a Sufi order whose origins started with two great Saints of early Sufism: Shaykh Abdul Qadir al Geylani and Shaykh Ahmed er Rifai. Our Tradition is one of inclusiveness and of welcoming.
This tradition has passed down to us through the current Spiritual Guide of the Order: Shaykh Taner Vargonen Ansari, who now resides in New York and is helping establish Sufism in the West.
Come, Come whoever you are, wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. Our's is not a caravan of despair. Come even if you have broken your vows a thousand times, Come, come yet again. (Mevlana Rumi)
Sufism is the spiritual/ mystical path of Islam. During the Zikr (the ceremony of remembrance) we practice some simple movements accompanied by frame drumming, hymn singing and chanting. In Zikr, each member of the group effaces him or herself in the remembrance of God using the energy of the entire group synergistically for the development of all.
We start at 19:15 with the group zikr for about one hour.
We welcome everyone who comes in peace. The Zikr is free but a donation to help with the venue hire would be greatly appreciated.
We hope to see you soon.
Please contact : Rita on 07941 653337 (ritaglh@yahoo.co.uk) or Reeyaaz on 07875 569921 (smreeyaaz@gmail.com) if you want any information about our Sufi order or Sufism in general.

Documentary—Films by Ebrahim Golestan
# Three classics from the golden age of the Iranian documentary movement.
Films by **Ebrahim Golestan** explore the relationship between earth, people, and the cycle of life in a uniquely poetic manner.
*A Fire*, part of his ‘industrial documentaries’ (made early in his career whilst working for oil companies) was **Golestan’s** first major international breakthrough. It depicts the extraordinary effort to extinguish a major oilfield fire, combining dramatic immediacy with a poetic sensibility.
*The Hills of Marlik* appears to be about the excavation of an archaeological site, but the unearthed objects become a lens through which 3,000 years of Iranian history are seen.
**Shirdel’s** *The Night It Rained* follows a newspaper report of a village boy who supposedly saves passengers on a train, an account that is quickly doubted and challenged. In just thirty minutes, **Shirdel** offers a masterful, incisive portrait of 1960s Iran.

Travel Now - London Chapter - Travel For Free*
## **Travel Now — London Chapter**
Welcome to the London Chapter of **London Travel Now**
This is a relaxed, community-powered **travel social meetup** for people who enjoy exploring, planning trips, sharing tips, and meeting fellow travelers—both online and in real life.
London Travel Now is a **multi-city travel social community**. While we host in-person meetups like this one, most connections start and continue on our online platform:
[ ](londontravelnow.com)**[londontravelnow.com](londontravelnow.com)**
That’s where members chat, share ideas, plan trips together, and stay connected between meetups.
***
✈️ *Travel for Free (yes, really)*\*
We get asked this a lot, so here’s the simple version:
\*\*Trip organizers travel free on the trips they create and run.\*\`
If you:
* Plan the trip
* Handle the bookings
* Bring the group together
your spot on the trip is covered.
\*Free applies to the trip organizer once the trip reaches minimum participants and is confirmed. Everyone else pays their own share.
No travel industry experience required—just organization, reliability, and enthusiasm.
***
☕ **Where we meet**
Meetups are kept simple and accessible—central cafés, pubs, or casual venues around London.
There’s no formal agenda and no presentations.
Just show up, grab a drink, and chat.
(Exact venue details are always listed on the event page.)
***
**How this meetup works (important)**
This chapter is part of a **community-led social network**.
* Meetups are informal and community-powered
* The main London Travel Now organizer may not attend every event
* Attendees cover their own food and drinks
* There may or may not be a designated host at each meetup
Think of this as a casual, drop-in **travel social**, not a guided or hosted event.
If you’re comfortable introducing yourself, joining conversations, and helping create a friendly atmosphere, you’ll fit right in.
***
**WhatsApp community (recommended)**
We also have a shared **London Travel Now WhatsApp community** with spaces for different cities.
Join here:
[https://chat.whatsapp.com/GjmFuzbk0baFavZRN0JGTz](https://chat.whatsapp.com/GjmFuzbk0baFavZRN0JGTz)
Inside the London space, members:
* Coordinate meetups
* Ask questions
* Share travel ideas and trip plans
* Stay connected between events
Joining is optional, but it’s the easiest way to stay in the loop.
***
️ **What to expect**
* Friendly, informal travel conversations
* Trip ideas, tips, and shared experiences
* Meeting people you may want to travel with in the future
* A low-pressure, welcoming environment
This is a **community meetup**, not a tour, class, or sales event.
***
**We’re looking for Chapter Organizers**
As London Travel Now grows, we’re looking for local **Chapter Organizers**, including here in London.
Chapter Organizers help:
* Host or co-host meetups (weekly or monthly)
* Choose simple, accessible venues
* Welcome attendees and help spark conversation
* Create and organize trips for the community
Trip organizers travel free on the trips they run.\*
No prior experience needed—just reliability and a friendly attitude.

**[www.londontravelnow.com/apply](londontravelnow.com/apply)**

✨ **Come along**
New faces are always welcome.
Bring curiosity, a travel story, or just yourself.
This community works best when members help make it welcoming—we hope you’ll be part of it.

Libera Animae - Freeing the Soul
Meeting Room 2b, Main Library
Join us for a welcoming evening of reflection, gentle music, and meaningful conversation. We’ll begin with a short grounding moment, followed by a brief reading from spiritual or philosophical traditions, and an open reflection circle where participants can share (or simply listen).
Libera Animae is an interfaith community focused on inner growth, creativity, and authentic connection. We desire to cultivate a space where all questions are welcome and each person is treated with compassion and respect.
Bowling and Drinks
Let’s knock down some pins and knock back a few drinks while we’re at it.
Bowling is one of the best stress relievers out there, so bring your A game and let’s see what you’ve got.
It’s $20 per person, which includes free shoe rental and two hours of open bowling.
We’ll start with six people per lane. Once we have six, we’ll grab our lane and get rolling. If more people show up after that, we’ll snag the lane right next to us and keep the party going.
Come ready to have some fun.
WordPress Knoxville. Beyond the Prompt: Autonomous AI Agents in WordPress
Happy Holidays!
The first Wednesday of January is 7th, and this is Orthodox Christmas. And i will be wishing everyone Merry Christmas in January, and i am sure many of you will be tired from all this socializing.
That is why we are going to meet on February 4th. And we will continue discussing the Hot topic of our age an AI.
We’ve spent the last few sessions learning how to *talk* to AI. We’ve mastered prompt engineering and "vibecoding" to build things faster. Now, it’s time for the next leap: **letting AI work for us while we sleep.**
In this session, we are moving beyond simple chatbots to explore **Autonomous AI Agents.** Unlike standard tools that wait for you to type a command, Agents are designed to perceive a goal, plan a series of tasks, and execute them independently within your WordPress site.
We will discuss **Generative vs. Agentic AI:** Understanding the shift from *"Write me a blog post"* to *"Monitor local Knoxville news and draft a weekly summary every Friday."*
I am sure many of you have seen WordPress ads offering different Agentic tools like **Uncanny Automator**, **AI Engine**, or **n8n**. What do these tools do? How successful they are? And how implementable all these agents are for your current WordPress site?
I will gather some info and make research. But please join us and bring your stories and experience on topic.
See you!
