Circle Song: Improvised Body Music
Circle Song: Improvised Body Music
**Invitation** **We are the instruments.** A participatory, improvised, embodied practice that reconnects us to one another through rhythm, voice, and play. This is a guided yet fully improvised experience, using the facilitation tools and methods of [Musica do Circulo](https://www.musicadocirculo.com/en). No prior experience is required, only an openness to connect with other humans in your own fun, light and authentic way. Circle songs are an invitation into a fully immersive, fully improvised musical experience using vocals, body percussion and movement. It draws inspiration from musical embodied rhythm practices from around the world, including call-and-response singing, rhythmic clapping games and circle song traditions. Simply by standing in a circle and connecting with our bodies as our instruments, we are reminded that we can find joy and meaning right here in this present moment, and in the next.

CLASE DE TEATRO INICIACION. GRUPO A
CLASE DE TEATRO INICIACION. GRUPO A

Challenging the UX Mantras
Challenging the UX Mantras
**UX Salon** is thrilled to welcome you to a special event in collaboration with **[Masters in Design for Responsible AI](https://ai.elisava.net/master/design-responsible-ai/)** hosted at the beautiful auditorium at **[Elisava](https://www.elisava.net).** **Speaker** In this talk by **[Irene Pereyra](https://www.linkedin.com/in/irenepereyra/)**, a heretic’s stance is taken on the sacred mantras of UX such as “Good UX is simple,” “Good UX is universal,” and “Good UX is intuitive,” challenging them one by one. Through client and personal projects, the argument is made that good UX design is neither universal nor timeless, but situational and shaped by the context of the here and now. The audience is invited to reconsider what “good” truly means in digital design today. **Irene Pereyra** is the co-founder of the independent design studio Anton & Irene and the author of Universal Principles of UX (Quarto, 2023), with a second book, The Accessible Design Reference & Specification Book, forthcoming in summer 2026. She is also a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI). Irene also works at the intersection of design and policy with the Danish think tank 21st Europe, where she contributes to speculative design Blueprints exploring how Europe is rethinking policy, technology, and design. Her work focuses on making complex systems understandable, human, and future-focused. **Hosts** **[Iris Latour](https://www.linkedin.com/in/irisjanelatour/), Director of Research @ [THEFT studio](https://theft.studio)** is a UX research leader working at the intersection of AI, product strategy, and responsible innovation. March Meetup is here! Let's gooo! We have some amazing speakers, and of course pizza and drinks will be available after the event. ────────── **18:30: Welcome** Grab a drink, and a seat until everybody arrives! **18:45 Intro by Host Neciu Dan** **19:00 Kibble: Designing Hybrid Components for Native and Web** Speaker: [Traian Stanciu](https://www.linkedin.com/in/traian-stanciu/) Senior Software Engineer at Rover.com Building a component library that runs on web, React Native, iOS, and Android without diverging into chaos is harder than it sounds. This talk digs into how Kibble—Rover's design system—handles the gap between platforms through a file-naming convention (`.tsx` / `.native.tsx` / `.common.ts`), a unified event abstraction that bridges web click and native press events, and a token pipeline that generates Swift, XML, CSS, and TypeScript from a single source of truth **19:25 React Native in a Native App: Brownfield Integration & Over-The-Air Deployments** Speaker: [Luca Barone](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucabarone95/) Mobile Engineer at Rover.com A practical look at how Rover.com ships React Native screens inside fully native iOS and Android apps — without rewriting them from scratch. We'll cover the "brownfield" integration pattern, how JS and native code communicate through bridge modules, and how we deploy JavaScript updates to users in minutes using Expo EAS Update, completely bypassing the App Store review cycle. **19:50: Drinks and networking!** Do you want to talk at this meetup?

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
