Mulled Wine (Glรธgg) & Collage Night: A Hygge Creative Workshop
Escape the winter chill and immerse yourself in an evening of creativity, conversation, and coziness. Join us for a **Mulled Wine & Collage Workshop**โ€”a seasonal gathering that celebrates Danish *hygge* through warm drinks and imaginative art-making. Set in a charming Copenhagen cafรฉ turned creative studio for the night, youโ€™ll begin with a tasting of traditional Danish **glรธgg** (mulled wine) in all its variationsโ€”red, white, spiced, and even alcohol-free. With guidance from a local flavor-maker, youโ€™ll get the chance to create your own personalized blend using classic Scandinavian spices and garnishes. Once your mug is filled with your perfect concoction, settle into a candlelit workspace stocked with vintage magazines, colorful papers, fabrics, and other tactile treasures. A collage artist will guide the group through a meditative cut-and-paste flow where youโ€™ll create a visual piece rooted in seasonal themes like winter coziness, Copenhagen memories, or dream landscapes. Whether you come with friends or on your own, this cozy and creative evening will leave you inspired, relaxed, and ready for winter.
Shut Up & Write!โ„ข Copenhagen
Shut Up & Write!โ„ข Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! Weโ€™ve discovered that itโ€™s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itโ€™s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, rรฉsumรฉ, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (Weโ€™ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafeโ€™s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.

Board Games at Bastard Cafรฉ
It is Sunday again! So it is time for us to gather at Bastard Cafe playing games, enjoying a good drink, and having fun in the lovely atmosphere of the Cafe. Everybody is welcome, whether you are new to board games or you are an experienced player. We play everything from Codenames, Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, The Resistance, Secret Hitler to more medium-long games like Terraforming Mars, Pandemic, Power Grid, 7 Wonders and Catan. You are welcome to come and play for a few hours or even stay longer if you feel like it! So girls and guys, come and join us for fun and games at Bastard Cafe! :D **FAQ** **Q**: *How can I find you?* **A**: Sometimes we got white flags saying 'Meetup' on the tables, and at other times we simply write the table number in the comment sections. But if you have any trouble finding us you are always welcome to write (chat or comment) and we will gently guide you to our table! :) **Q**: *What language do you speak?* **A**: Since our group is a mix of natives and internationals we primarily speak English. **Q**: *What games do you play?* **A**: All sorts of games! Social deduction games, strategy games, deckbuilding games, dice games, card games, dexterity games, you name it! If there is any game you want to play feel free to put a comment below, or bring it to the table to see if people are interested! **Q**: *For how long do you play?* **A**: As long as people want. We don't have a minimum or maximum time. The timer set from 1:30 pm to 8 pm are merely guiding times. Some leave after a few hours, others play until the cafe close...xD **Q**: *I am going to be 15 minutes late, can I still show up?* **A**: Of course! You are always welcome! Just be aware that people might have already started games if you show up a bit later. **Q**: *What is the average age in the group?* **A**: In general, we are a very mixed age-group but most people are probably in their 20's and 30's. Though by default, anyone no matter the age, gender, or otherwise, is welcome! **Q**: How does visiting the cafe work? **A**: A membership of the cafe cost 150 dkk a year and gives you access to all their games. Else you need a day ticket costing 30 dkk to play all games. There are also free games, but it is required you buy at least one drink from the bar to play them. For more details on the cafรฉ check out their site: [Bastard Cafรฉ](https://bastardcafe.dk/)

Cozy social Saturday afternoon run/jog/walk
Cozy social Saturday afternoon run/jog/walk
Come join us for an afternoon run/jog/walk We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in โ€œabout usโ€. How it works: we donโ€™t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Donโ€™t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!
The Wise Woman: Falling Upward into Meaning
The Wise Woman: Falling Upward into Meaning
**WOMENโ€™S CIRCLE ยท Voice of Sophia** **The Wise Woman: Falling Upward into Meaning** The beginning of the year is a time of reflection, inner transition and gentle re-orientation. In this circle, we meet the archetype of the Wise Woman as an inner capacity to hold perspective, meaning, and inner support during times of change, loss, and uncertainty. Together, we explore maturity as integration โ€” a life phase in which what seems to fall apart can become a doorway into depth, wisdom, and a more honest way of living. The circle is inspired by the work of Richard Rohr, Pema Chรถdrรถn, and Thomas Moore, and draws on embodied practices, reflection, and symbolic language to support feeling of wholness and inner grounding. **What this circle is about:** โ€ข moving from external achievement toward inner meaning โ€ข meeting crisis and uncertainty without fixing or bypassing โ€ข integrating both light and shadow aspects of lived experience โ€ข cultivating care for the soul in everyday life โ€ข allowing wisdom to emerge through what has been lived We reflect on personal experience through myths and folk stories โ€” such as Vasilisa the Wise and Hecate โ€” using them as symbolic maps for transition, maturity, and deep feminine knowing. **Circle program (4 hours)** 14:00โ€“14:20 โ€” Arrival & Opening Warm arrival, grounding, and brief introductions. We open with a reflection on maturity as an unfolding process of wisdom and inner support. 14:20โ€“14:35 โ€” Grounding Meditation A guided meditation: meeting uncertainty and inner disorientation while sensing a deeper inner ground beneath it. 14:35โ€“14:55 โ€” Intention Sharing An gentle inquiry into the question: โ€œWhat am I ready to integrate in my life right now?โ€ 14:55โ€“15:35 โ€” Guided Reflection & Holding Context A guided exploration of themes that support the process: โ€ข the Wise Woman as a companion through life transitions โ€ข the concept of the two halves of life โ€ข staying present when things fall apart โ€ข caring for the soul through meaning and depth 15:35โ€“17:35 โ€” Practice Session (with breaks) A sequence of embodied and reflective practices, including: โ€ข gentle movement โ€” from instability toward feeling more grounded โ€ข journaling practice: โ€œWhat in my life is asking for care and attention right now?โ€ โ€ข small-group reflection on lived experiences of crisis and change โ€ข an EFT-based practice focused on acceptance, integration, and feeling more grounded Tea breaks and quiet pauses are woven into the flow. 17:35โ€“18:00 โ€” Closing & Integration A closing round to name one insight or piece of wisdom to carry forward. HTML5 Master Series (Class 04 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
HTML5 Master Series (Class 04 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTES:** 1. The dates listed for this series are about 95% reliable. We are completing our 2026 schedule as we speak, so minor adjustments are still occurring. 2. Each class in this series has an attendance fee, though this first offering is free on a first-come, first-served basis. 3. Each class, from BOTH a sign-up and fee perspective, is a separate entity. **Introduction:** HTML5 is the foundational technology for modern web development, serving as the standard markup language for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. Developed through a collaboration between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), HTML5 provides a robust system of elements (tags) that tell a browser how to display text, images, and multimedia in a clear and meaningful way. It works in concert with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation and JavaScript for interactivity, forming the core technology stack for virtually all websites and many web applications today. One of the significant advancements of HTML5 is the introduction of powerful new features and elements designed to improve functionality and simplify development. Key additions include native multimedia support via the \ and \ tags, allowing developers to embed media without third-party plugins. It also offers new form controls for better user input, such as date and email types, and introduces web storage capabilities to store data offline for enhanced performance. These features streamline the process of building rich, interactive web experiences. A significant focus of HTML5 is enhanced semantics and better structural organization of content. New semantic elements like , , , , and \ provide meaningful structure to documents, which aids in search engine optimization (SEO) and improves accessibility for assistive technologies. These elements define different parts of a webpage (e.g., a header for the top, a nav for navigation links, a footer for the bottom), making the code more readable and understandable for both developers and machines. This emphasis on clear structure helps in creating more logical and maintainable websites. Developing websites in today's competitive environment requires taking advantage of every technique you can to get the maximum exposure possible. Our HTML5 class will not only show you what's new in the HTML specification, but also the best way to develop optimized web pages that get the attention your client and/or company requires. **The breakdown of the four-class series is as follows:** **Class 1: Introduction to Web Structure and Basic HTML5** This class introduces the core concepts of web development, the history of HTML, and the fundamental structure of an HTML5 document. * **Topics**: * **Web Architecture Overview**: How browsers, servers, and web pages interact. * **HTML Fundamentals**: Understanding elements, tags, and attributes. * **Basic Document Structure**: Using !DOCTYPE html, html, head, and body. * **Text Formatting**: Headings (h1 to h6), paragraphs (p), and text-level semantics (e.g., strong, em, br). * **Lists and Links**: Creating ordered (ol) and unordered (ul) lists, and linking between pages using anchor tags (a). * **Activity**: Students create a basic personal webpage containing text, a list of hobbies, and a link to an external website. **Class 2: Semantic HTML5 and Multimedia Integration** Class 2 focuses on modern HTML5 elements that provide meaning (semantics) to content, improving accessibility and search engine optimization. It also covers adding images and multimedia. * **Topics**: * **Semantic Elements**: Understanding and implementing elements like header, footer, nav, section, and article. * **Images**: Adding images using the img tag and attributes like src, alt, width, and height. * **Multimedia**: Embedding audio and video content using the audio and video tags. * **File and Folder Structure**: Best practices for organizing project files and managing file paths. * **Activity**: Students refactor their Class 1 project to use a proper semantic layout and add an image and a link to a video file. **Class 3: Forms and User Input** This session is dedicated to building interactive HTML5 forms, which are essential for capturing user data and input. * **Topics**: * **Form Basics**: Using the form element, action and method attributes. * **Input Types**: Exploring various input types (e.g., text, password, checkbox, radio, date, submit). * **Form Elements**: Utilizing label, textarea, select, option, and button. * **Client-side Validation**: Implementing HTML5 validation attributes like required, minlength, and pattern. * **Activity**: Students build a complete contact form with different input fields, radio buttons, and basic HTML5 validation. **Class 4: Introduction to CSS3 and Basic Styling** The final class introduces Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to style the HTML content and make the web pages visually appealing and accessible. * **Topics**: * **CSS Fundamentals**: The role of CSS, selectors, properties, and values. * **Integrating CSS**: Using inline, internal, and external style sheets. * **The Box Model**: Understanding margin, padding, border, and content for basic layout. * **Basic Styling**: Changing colors, fonts, and text alignment. * **Accessibility Basics**: Identifying principles of web design usability and accessibility, including ARIA labels. * **Activity**: Students apply an external CSS file to their Class 3 form project to style the layout, colors, and fonts, culminating in a well-structured and styled webpage.
