Human vs Machine – Hands-On Workshop
Following up our last meetup "LLM Coding Agent and Effect On Teams" we go hands on this time.
**Human vs Machine – Hands-On Workshop**
Who's actually in charge when you're coding with AI?
In this 2-hour hands-on lab, you'll find out — by living it. Each group picks a LLM working mode and runs with it.
All groups tackle the same coding kata. The kata is intentionally hard. You probably won't finish it — and that's the point.
We'll pause, reflect, and get into it:
\* Where did AI help?
\* Where did it get in the way?
\* What did you actually learn?
Bring
👨🏻💻 your laptop
your preferred 📟 code language
your 📢 opinions
AND
your ready to use 🧠 AI tool.
Strong & Stoked 💪🥳
Get stronger, train smart, and end every session with a laugh.
We'll do a full-body strength workout followed by 1–2 fun games. Bring your training shoes and some water.
**Schedule:**
\-19:00 – 19:15 \| Setup & warm\-up
\-19:15 – 19:55 \| Full\-body strength training \(squat\, hinge\, push\, pull\)
\-19:55 – 20:20 \| 1–2 fun games – let yourself be surprised
\-20:20 – 20:30 \| Cleanup
**What to bring:**
\- Indoor sport shoes \(clean soles\)
\- Water bottle
\- Towel
\- Training clothes you can move and sweat in
\- Changing rooms available\, no shower on site
**Cost:** 3 CHF per session (covers hall rental). Twint to +41 79 123 16 74 or cash.
**For everyone:** All levels welcome. The 4 main exercises are scaled to your level – beginners get easier variations, experienced lifters get challenged. The program is built around progressive overload to help you reach your goals effectively – whether that's weight loss, muscle gain, injury prevention, or just getting stronger.
The games change every session – think "people playing in a gym" rather than "sports league". No skill needed, fun is what matters.
Want updates and spontaneous session info? Message me directly to join our WhatsApp group.
See you Monday!

ZurichJS Meetup: May the source maps be with you
JavaScript is single-threaded, yet it powers the world's most complex real-time interfaces. Behind that magic lies the event loop; a mechanism that is often misunderstood, feared, or simply ignored until a performance bottleneck brings your app to a screeching halt.
This May, we’re celebrating Star Wars month by traveling to the core of the JS galaxy to bridge the gap between "it just works" and "I know why it works".
Join us for an evening of live-coding and deep dives. Whether you’re a Padawan or a Jedi Master, come learn how to make the runtime work for you, not against you.
**Agenda**
* 17:30 – **Doors open**
* 18:30 - 18:50 – **Settling in & Intro**
* 18:50 - 20:30 – **Talks and pizza**
* 20:30 – **Networking**

He has contributed to open-source projects like Raycast and has mentored on platforms like Mentor Cruise. His projects include work on GCN, Eurosport, Discovery+, Fiit (a top UK fitness app), and he was the founding engineer of Navro in London. **Who are the awesome sponsors and partners?**
* **[Vercel](https://vercel.com/?utm_source=zurichjs&utm_medium=sponsored_meetup&utm_campaign=zurichjs_partner_2026)** is THE platform for frontend developers, providing the speed and reliability needed to create at the moment of inspiration. We love Vercel because they’ve turned the "manual labor" of deployment into a simple `git push`. By handling the heavy lifting of global infrastructure and serverless scaling, Vercel allows us to focus on what we actually enjoy: building great user experiences. Whether you’re using Next.js, Nuxt, or SvelteKit, Vercel is the gold standard for shipping fast and staying in the flow.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
